Unsafe/unsound facility infrastructure, leaky/useless roof, dusty, mossy and rotting wood stairs and furnitures, torn mosquito nets… This place has clearly been neglected for many many years and should not be open to public until serious rehabilitations are done.
We stayed at Karang Aji Villa twice for an extended period, and both times were truly memorable. The rooms are spacious, clean, and feel fresh, with a unique design that makes you feel as if you’re living right in the middle of the jungle. The treehouse-like setting and the natural surroundings give the whole place a very special and relaxing atmosphere.
One of the highlights of our stay was the people – we became good friends with the owner, and the staff are simply wonderful: warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. The villa is also conveniently close to the surf spots and the beach, which made it easy to combine relaxation with surfing sessions.
We’d happily come back again.
