Services so messed up, and it's such a shame because the facility itself is genuinely great.
I've stayed here multiple times and have always loved the room condition. Clean, comfortable, and great value. One thing worth fixing though: almost all the AC buttons in the room are broken, which can be pretty uncomfortable especially in Jakarta's heat.
Now, the service. Usually the receptionists here are friendly. But this last visit was a completely different story.
I came in while sick. Fever, chills, completely drained. My brother had already called ahead to confirm availability of a Junior Suite Room with early check-in, and was told it was available. He then booked through Traveloka, but there was a mix-up and it ended up as a Deluxe Room. Not a big deal, except the Deluxe Room was fully booked and didn't allow early check-in, which we specifically needed given my condition. So we had no choice but to book a new Junior Suite Room.
What stung wasn't the mix-up. It was the receptionist's response. When my brother explained the situation, she made a comment implying that a Junior Suite Room couldn't possibly be priced at 600–700k as if we were trying to claim something we weren't entitled to. That is the price listed on the app. It felt incredibly condescending.
I held myself together and stepped up to the desk to sort things out, already feeling terrible, but trying to stay calm. That's when it got worse.
