We recently wrapped up a two-week seminar at Surabaya Suites Hotel, and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. Hosting an extended event can be challenging, but the staff made everything effortless with their top-tier service, warm hospitality, and incredible attention to detail.
The facilities are remarkably well-maintained, providing a comfortable, professional, and seamless environment for our daily sessions. The Wi-Fi was fast, stable, and completely reliable throughout our entire stay—an absolute necessity for a long conference. The event spaces were also kept comfortably airy and cool throughout the day, thanks to plenty of well-positioned fans.
Food quality was consistently impressive across the board. The room service team did an outstanding job with regular, prompt deliveries and immaculate care. A special highlight was the tea-time catering; the snacks served during our seminar breaks were fresh, varied, and thoroughly enjoyed by all of our attendees.

Stayed here for three days and two nights, the whole experience was great. I booked the cheapest room, Junior Suite Historical King. This room type has a bathtub and a shower combined. And if anyone's wondering, the room has electric kettle which is very convenient if you want to make a coffee/tea, or simply any instant food that needs hot water. The AC was working perfectly fine and it was cold. I had to turn it off since it was too cold for me 😂 It has TV with mostly international channels. And luckily, I got a room to outside window view.
I saw a review of someone had bad running water, which quite concerned me, but I'm glad I didn't have the problem. The running water on both shower and bathtub was clean. The hot water also works just fine. Overall, good experience staying here!

This hotel is well priced in a wonderful location in Surabaya, especially if arriving or departing by the wonderfully efficient KAI Javanese Railways. Check-in was quick and pleasant and the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. So is the hotel, it's just fading a little bit. The mall out the rear exit is very convenient and the staff are wonderful. Two odd things though. The breakfast just didn't make sense. Odd choices, chicken had a slightly metallic taste but the egg station foolproof. Not a knife to be seen in the restaurant save a butter knife. The other thing is the Business Executive Suite. The only difference is an odd room at the entry of the suite that is basically useless save for a desk and sofa. It was very good value though.
