We had a lot of doubts when choosing accomodation for Mount Bromo and finally decided to stay at Otix. Very good experience, perfect for the purpose, just relax a bit after coming from long trip from Malang before getting up at 2 am for Bromo visit. Bed was comfy, room was clean, and there was hot (not very, but okayish) water. Wifi worked well. And location is superb for Bromo trip. Highly recommend.
Great homestay — clean and good location for the Bromo tour.
Improvement recommendation:
— some table and seats for breakfast as a group.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Overall, it was a comfortable stay for such a low price (idr 250k/nite).
The room is big, clean, lots of sunshine. Only provided towel, soap, hot water and Wi-Fi. No shampoo, sandals, or bottled water. But there's a community kitchen where you can have tea and coffee and boil water.
It is close to the main road, 5 min walk, and there are shops around to buy basic groceries. There are cafes around to get food.
They also provided assistance to send my laundry out and it gets done within 24 hours. They also helped connect me to someone for travel to Ranupane, my next destination.
Will definitely stay here again when I pass through this area.
