I had a really nice stay at zzz hostel in Malang. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they were always happy to help with recommendations or tips for getting around the city.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and easygoing. It’s a good place to meet other travelers, but it’s also quiet enough to rest properly after a day exploring.
The location is convenient for exploring Malang and the surrounding areas. Overall, it’s great value for the price, and I’d definitely stay here again if I come back to Malang.
I had a great experience at this hostel! The staff were super friendly and personable; they gave great recommendations and you could tell they genuinely wanted to get to know the guests. The staff have dinner on the property and it was great to chat with them in the common space. The dorm room I stayed in was super clean and so were the bathroom and shower facilities. It's close enough to Malang Station that I was able to walk to and from the train, and it was close to lots of good food options. I recommend walking the neighbourhood at night as there are lots of neighbourhood street food vendors. I also took their tour to Tumpak Sewu and had a good time. I highly recommend staying at this hostel if you're in Malang!

Exceptional. Loved my stay at Zzz hostel Malang. I absolutely owe my incredible experience to the stuff who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Fadgi was just amazing! He welcomed me on my first day and was so professional and super friendly, gave me lots of recommendations for food, he spoke amazing English too. Helped me to book my bus to Jakarta. Super! Lynda and Lea and Olivia the most organised, professional and caring people! Thank you for making me feel at home and for caring for me. These guys are amazing at their job and truly care about their guests and want the best for them! They even drove me to catch my bus because the grab drivers kept cancelling on me and because of them I made it on time! Legends!
The space is perfect, clean and the common areas are super modern and welcoming. Communication was superb from the moment I booked in. I even extended one extra day.
Best hostel experience so far. It felt like a home away from home cosy, caring and super welcoming.
