Review of Trix House

Location: quiet strategic, within walking distance to Malang Town Square shopping mall. It is also nearby Brawijaya University.
— Parking space: Limited dedicated parking space in front of the hotel for around 5 to 10 cars.
— Staff: friendly and polite. Check-in process is fast. Housekeeping is not done on daily basis, but we can ask for additional mineral waters from the receptionist (if housekeeping had not distributed them yet).
— Exterior and special amenities: brand new 3 levels / floors hotel building with lift / elevator. The latest smart TV model is installed in the bedroom. Coca cola fridge is available in the lobby for easy soft drinks purchase. Restaurant / cafe area to be opened soon on the rooftop area. They also offer unique family bedrooms with mezzanine within.
— Bedroom: room 302 is a standard room type with narrow entrance but quite plenty space for the bed itself. There are 2 plastic bottles of drinking waters provided for free (around 500ml each), along with electric kettle and sachets of tea, coffee, and sugar. No mini bar fridge in the room though, so it is tricky to store bread or donuts because there are ants. Smart TV is already installed in the room. AC is small but still brand new and cold.
— Wifi: stable and quite fast, but a bit troublesome as it required us to reconnect everytime we went back to our room.
— Bathroom / toilet: no handwash basin installed, but we can still brush our teeth using the shower tap. Hot water shower is available and quite stable. The bathroom's size is large but most of its area seems useless. The overall bathroom design seems to be not so effective. There is also no dedicated placeholder to put our own shampoo / soap in the bathroom, even though they provided the soap dispenser in the bathroom. Two towels and standard dental kits were provided and put on the bed when we checked in.
— Soundproof: okay but not enough, because we can still hear some noise from the sorroundings area through the room's window, from the room next door, and from the hallway.
— Bed quality: comfortable with a clean bed sheet.
— Breakfast: no breakfast was offered when we stayed. However, they might offer it in the future because the restaurant / cafe on the rooftop area was still being renovated and shall be opened soon.
— Check out: fast and straight-forward at around 10 AM. However, as we stayed for 2 nights, we needed to re-register the access card for our room with the reception on the 2nd day, which is a bit troublesome.
