Shanaya Resort Malang

This Resort reminded me of the Marriott Nusa Dua Apartments. Just that it was better.
We stayed in a 1 room villa and 2 room villa. Both are comfortable, the 1 bedroom villa has the advantage of a comfortable bath tub, the 2 bedroom villa has the advantage of a private pool. And that pool, the quiet comfort, the relaxing climate, encouraged is to keep extending our stay. It's a well run place we will be coming back to.

It's actually a very cozy place. Either the cabin, vibes and the view is nice.
Just an extra warning, there is a certain type of cabin that has open bathroom concept, so watch out for drones 😁
It's unfortunate that I visited when there were a group event happening, so it's kinda noisy. But I understand that it was an event so noises are expected. Other than that I recommend this resort for those who want peace and quiet.

I booked Jayakatwang 2 bed rooms and Kertanegara 2 bed rooms. Rooms are great, comfortable, spacious. There are several type of room, Jayakatwang, Kertanegara, Singhasari which are villa type, and the others are glamping type. Every type of rooms has it own restourant and swimming pool due to its distance to lobby area are little bit far away. But dont worry, they have shuttle from ant to your room.
Souronding environment are great as well. Green environment with hills.
For me, quite expensive for the price. But, you paid what you get.

We got married at Shanaya Resort Malang on September 13th, 2025, and it was truly an amazing experience.
We’re really grateful that we met Kak Aldy from the very first time we came for a site survey, he has been helpful from day one.
The service was great from the wedding preparation all the way to the big day.
Huge thanks to Kak Aldy for always making sure everything ran smoothly, and to Kak Desyn for the beautiful and clean room after the wedding. Our guests kept complimenting the venue, the food, and how well the event was organized. Our families who stayed at Villa also had a wonderful stay.

I think this resort has a great view, rooms, and environment. There are swimming pools in several different locations. The rooms are quite spacious. The meeting rooms are also quite nice. Thank you to Ms. Desyn and the other resort staff. Perhaps the service needs to be improved is each room only has one access card, making it difficult to get around if there are two or three guests in one room.

I had an amazing experience staying at Shanaya Resort Malang, specifically in Glamping Ranggawuni 211R. The service was excellent — the staff were friendly, helpful, and available 24 hours to assist with anything we needed. The place itself was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. I really loved the peaceful atmosphere, it’s far from the city noise, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and cozy getaway in Malang!

We had such a pleasant three-night stay at Shanaya Resort Malang! The huge resort is well maintained, the surrounding nature is pristinely preserved, and the hospitality is just amazing. The staff responded to our needs with speed, and overall we were wonderfully accommodated. We don't typically do repeat stays — but we'd love to stay here again the next time we visit Malang!

Nestled in the serene hills of Karangploso, the restaurant at Shanaya Resort Malang offers more than just a meal, it’s a sensory retreat. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and attentive service. The ambiance blends modern elegance with a touch of Javanese charm, making it perfect for rejuvinating breakfasts, and relaxed family lunches and dinners, as well as quiet solo reflections.
The breakfast spread was generous, with a variety of local and international options, with each dish thoughtfully plated and full of flavor. We especially appreciated the signature Indonesian dishes, which were beautifully seasoned and presented with care. The entire staff, especially Mas Maskur and Mbak Rosi, went above and beyond to recommend favorites and ensure our comfort.

I had an amazing stay at Shanaya Resort Malang together with my wife, and she truly enjoyed every moment of it! From the very beginning, the staff welcomed us with such warmth – especially the Front Office team and Daisy, who were incredibly friendly and attentive. The room setup was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared, making us feel very special upon arrival.
The food was excellent – every meal was enjoyable, and the pizza in particular was absolutely delicious! Breakfast was made even more memorable with live traditional music, creating such a unique and authentic atmosphere. We also loved the cultural entertainment, from the captivating Tari Topeng dance to other traditional touches that truly highlighted local heritage.
The resort itself is surrounded by fresh air and stunning views, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge. With great service, genuine hospitality, and a beautiful setting, Shanaya Resort Malang exceeded all our expectations. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed at Shanaya Resort for 2 nights. The location is convenient, and the facilities are generally good, with clean rooms and a pleasant environment. However, the service was a major disappointment. Every morning during breakfast, the staff repeatedly told us, “Breakfast is not included in your room, ” even though we had clearly paid for it. This mistake wasn’t only limited to us—other guests experienced the same problem. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially because such a simple system could easily prevent this issue. They could just note the room numbers and include it on the breakfast bill if necessary, which is logical and normal practice.
Additionally, the breakfast itself was underwhelming. The food quality was poor, and there were very few kid-friendly options, despite the fact that many families with young children stay at the resort. This made it difficult for families to enjoy meals comfortably. Overall, while the resort has a nice location and decent facilities, the repeated service errors and limited food options seriously detracted from our experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a better stay for future guests.

This was my second time staying at Shanaya Resort and it was just as great as the first. The rooms are clean, spacious, and super comfy. Lots of fun activities for kids too, so it's perfect for a family getaway.

We love the hospitality of the staff. The room and pool service staff are excellent. They cater our need perfectly. The staff brought us new towels for us after swimming, which is we thought they will not notice it as we brought our own towels. Excellence! Love to spend our days in SHANAYA RESORT.

Shanaya exceeded our expectations in several ways; we definitely recommend staying here during your visit to Malang. The resort is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush vegetation and it offers a very unique architecture that we havent seen anywhere else. We came in April during the week and we pretty much had the place to ourselves — it was quiet, serene and peaceful. On our first night we decided to eat at the restaurant and our meals did not quite meet our expectations. We relayed our dissatisfaction to the working manager, whom went above and beyond to correct the issue. They took care of the meal and also granted us an exclusive dinner the following night, which was absolutely delicious and a perfect way to end our day. Bottom line, the resort is beautiful and they care deeply about their customer's experience.

The place is cosy with affordable price. It has a good landscape and with maintained cleanliness. The staff are friendly and accommodating. It is worth recommending to my family and friends. Fast and 24 hour on call service. The buffet breakfast has variety of options from main menu to desert and drinks.

Provides a very nice ambience overall. Had a relaxed atmosphere and personnel was very friendly. Breakfast portions are large and the restaurant offers a good variety of dishes. We had a great experience here. Houses may be a little far from the lobby but the golf cart transportation service compensated for this. There are good options for recreation and the accommodations are well maintained. We enjoyed our time here!

Excellent service and great hospitality! We stayed for a business gathering, and the hotel was perfect—spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms with great upgrades. Ideal for work and networking. Highly recommended!
