Grand Cakra Hotel Malang

1st thing that greeted us was tobacco smell, despite we are non-smokers. Very unpleasant.
Service was prompt whenever we called, they sent air freshener, and other things upon our request.
There is a supermarket just across giving easy access for shopping and dining. Additional note: Highly recommend Nona Java for meal. Located in the shopping mall as Hero Supermarket. So tasty we went there twice! Among all the places we have dined in here in Malang and Batu, this is the best!

There is no designated covered parking for motorcycles. It feels a bit inconvenient if a big motorcycle (MoGe) is just left out in the open under the sun.
If any motorcycle community stays there, their bikes will likely be parked without a roof, exposed to the elements at the side of the hotel.

— The room light is too dim at night. Burem euuy!

Spacious room, delicious food room services and breakfast, affordable price for 4 stars hotel! I love sofa on my room so much, good for my sleep problem! actually it can be bought if I want.

The hotel is very comfortable, bathrooms clean and has complete aminities. Bathub and hot water work totally fine.
The staff are very friendly and so helpful. From the moment I arrived until I checked out of the hotel, they're very informative and friendly towards the visitors. But unfortunately, the Wi-Fi is horrible, wasn’t working at all.
I booked cakra club king, my room has a mountain view and it's very nice in the morning.
Breakfast menu variety is a bit lacking but taste just good enough. Parking area is quite spacious. This hotel is located next to a shopping mall so getting quick lunch or dinner is easy enough.

The hotel was in a very good location, walking distance to the shopping center and supermarket. The service was quite good and the room was quite clean. The breakfast wasn't too bad but nothing special really. Unfortunately there is no hairdryer in the bathroom.

Well located, food good although lact variety after 2 days. Rooms clean, staff friendly.
Wi-Fi terrible for this day and age. Could not even complete a speed test. Stayed one week.
Would not stay again due to Wi-Fi.

What a beautiful hotel, located in a perfect place and a small mall at the front of the hotel. The service was amazing and the room was very clean and nice. They also had a great pool for a refreshing dive.
Only thing was the Wi-Fi very slow.

The hotel is a bit in decay, we had some mold in the bathroom, the shower had almost 0 pressure and the WiFi is horrible. The staff is nice and the breakfast is quite extensive though. There is a small shopping mall across the street, and at the end of the street, there is a really nice seafood place.

Love to stay at this hotel. The room is clean and spacious. The bathroom amenities are complete. The hot water runs smoothly. Didn't try the breakfast, but they allow us to bring food from outside and even lend us the plate and cutlery. Two minuses from our stay are the pillow (mine needed to be changed cause it didn't have a good shape anymore) and the TV remote (somehow can't function well). One more thing, the location is near a small mall, walkable with various foods.

The hotel is outdated, but location is very good, just next to a small mall with superindo, starbuck, burger king, dunkin donut, etc. Also walkable to hospital and good housing estate. The swimming pool is small but well maintained. The room is old, clean, but TV cannot watch as all channel are grainy. I would not return, as there is better alternative.
