Condro Wulan Hostel

Great tour with even greater service. A family run hostel with all the help you need to explore the mountains and waterfalls of Java. Would recommend to anyone who wants the cheapest price around and the best hospitality, which is everyone.

Very nice hostel! The owners are very kind and always ready to help and to give travel tips. I recommend the 3-4 days experience with Bromo, waterfalls and Ijen, it's cheap considering all the activities, well organised and totally worth ed.

Super super friendly hosts — really awesome people who want to make sure you’re having a nice time! Great location, hostel is nice — can be a tiny bit noisy due to thin walls and calls to prayer etc but wasn’t really a problem. We did the mount bromo sunrise tour with them and it was great (although beware it is a VERY long day/night) — overall excellent hostel and would recommend!

We didn't stay at this hostel, but we booked the Bromo tour through them. The host welcomed us before the tour, let us relax in the living room, and even allowed us to take a shower. He was very responsive, and the tour was well organized. When we returned, they prepared a delicious breakfast for us and helped us plan the next part of our journey. We would definitely recommend them for organizing a Bromo tour!

We booked the 4n3day tour with them to go to Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen. The tour was organized so well, we didn’t have to think about anything else than when we could get some sleep 😴.
The owners are really nice, the food we ate here was the best indonesian food we’ve had on our trip!
The rooms are a bit small, but you aren’t in them much anyway. You get access to 2 shower/toilets and free water and coffee.
We truly had a great time staying here and booking their tour, if you want a great experience book through them!
They also offer to give you an extra day off if anything happens (you get sick, bad weather. ) and you can continue the tour later, which I thought was nice.

We booked a 4day/3nights tour through Condro Wulan Hostel and it was amazing! Everything was well organized, Vico took care of us every step of the way right untill we got dropped off in Bali. The experiences, especially Mt. Ijen were out of this world. I cannot recommend this enough! Last but no least, the food was delicious☺️

One of my best hostels in Indonesia.
The owners are so kind; they recommended many places to go. They offer tours for all the famous activities around.
I had a very good time talking with them both, and the food is very good there.
In the garden, they have many fruit trees, a very small chicken (chicky), and a ginger cat!
I wish I could have stayed longer.

We stayed in the hostel for a couple nights, because we wanted to start our 3 day tour there with first a rest day at the hostel. The location is really nice, if you like nature and are not a fan of a busy city. The service was also very nice, the breakfast was delicious the owners of the hostel are very friendly and helped us with any questions. We stayed as a couple in one room, the room was okay only the bed a little small. But for a hostel private room it was enough.
The tour was provided by the hostel, the tour was amazing. We did the waterfall, mount bromo and ljen vulcano tour. It was worth the price! All was taken care off and the service was good. We recommend this place to everyone!

I was staying here a couple of nights and have to say it’s a little paradise. The owners (Vico and his family) are very kind and always try to help and make you feel comfortable. It’s a bit remote but that’s what I loved about it! Outside the busy city you have a little peaceful place here to spend some days and plan a nice stay in Malang. I also did the tours they offer and it was such a great decision. Beautiful impressions and always a helping hand to figure out how to have the best experience. Recommend 100%

I would definetely recommend to any traveller looking for a familiar and friendly environment. I was travelling with my friend and Vico and his wife are some of the nicest people we met in our whole trip so far… they were very welcoming since the first day we arrived and helped us with any doubts or questions we had. The food you can order at the hostel is also some of the best we had! The place is nice and clean and offers all the basic needs… hot shower, coffee or tea, Wi-Fi and comfy beds. If I ever come back I will definetely stay here again☺️

I had an absolute amazing experience here. The owner Vico and his family is really nice. I felt a bit like home.
Vico helped me with a recommendation where I can do streetart. He got me in contact with the people from Jodipan, the colourful city. There I got to make a mural, inspired by the tail of Malang, I learned from Vico.

Our stay was very short but relaxing. The hostel has a small but very nice garden where you can relax. We stayed in a double room which was clean and comfortable enough. It can be a bit louder due to local surroundings but it didn't bother us too much. The husband and wife that run the place were great too. You can have a good conversation with them and they make you feel right at home. They even made an exception and prepared early breakfast for us even if it was out of house. It was really good value for money and we really enjoyed our stay.

Owners of this hostel will go out of their way to make you feel happy. Amazing and lovely people — they can organise tours for Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen.
Location is great as a starting point for Tumpak Sewu and Bromo — you skip Malang city traffic and drive straight out, however if you want to explore the city it’s roughly 15-20 minutes away.
Rooms are very simple, but clean. There is no aircon, but I didn’t really need one during the night. The only downside are shower facilities (very low water pressure, but that’s pretty normal across places in Java)

This was the best stay I could have had! The owner are the sweetest people on earth and they helped me with everything and always took time for me. The organization of the tours were absolutely easy with them and everything went perfectly. The breakfast and the food in general was also delicious and the dorm was so nice as well! Thank you for everything❤️

I was very, very happy with my short stay at Condro. The hosts Vico and Winwing were amazing from the start until my last goodbye.
I was glad I could stay since it’s cheap, not in the noisy center of malang and offers a complete set of tours to important landmarks with professional guides like Bambang.
I will be back.

I didn’t stay at the property but did their Mount Bromo and waterfall tour! Vico was so helpful in getting me confirmed on a tour before I even arrived in Malang, as I was very short on days! The tours were wonderful and would definitely recommend!

I would like to thank the owner, Vico and his family for an amazing experience. Everything was perfect. Rooms were nice, clean, spacious enough. Not to mention the food (breakfast, lunch, dinner), it's amazing! The location is good, close to nature, and calm, away from the busy streets. You have everything there, 2 supermarkets are a few minutes of walking away. The centre is about 10 minutes if you take Grab. We also booked tours through them (whole package — Bromo, Tumpak Sewu waterfall, Ijen). Fair price, everything was extremely well organised. They can also arrange transport for your next destination. If you're looking for accommodation near Malang with tours that cover East Java, search no further! That's the place. If people were half as kind and friendly as Vico and his family, the world would be a better place! :)
