Condro Wulan Hostel

Had a great time in Condro Wulan Hostel. It's a family business run by Vico and his wife. They are lovely people and Vico also helped me plan the rest of my trip. Everything was clean and they served delicious food. I booked a 3D2N tour including Tumpak Sewu waterfalls, Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen. They teamed me up with some other travelers, which as a solo traveler, was a big plus. Everyone they worked with (drivers, guides etc) were very kind and patient. I highly recommend going to the whole tour, I thought maybe narrow it down to the mountains only, but after doing it all I wouldn't want to miss a thing. Thanks a lot!

We had the loveliest stay with the kindest couple, they really made us feel at home. We booked the 3 day tour to the waterfall/Bromo/Ijen and it was organised really well, Vico was super informative about the plan, we had a great time! The homemade food was really good and they even made us breakfast for the journeys! They also had local recommendations to offer and it was in a nice peaceful location but with easy access to laundry/shops. Thank you!

We booked the 3D/2N Bromo/Ijen/waterfall package through this hostel and I would definitely recommend. It made planning things so much easier for us, especially in terms of transport. The sights were so pretty and we had a lot of fun.
The homestay itself is really nice and peaceful to relax at during the day time. It has a cute enclosed garden where you can order homemade food. The food was really good and very vegetarian friendly. There are a few little spots you can walk to from the hostel, and if you need a shop or a laundrette, you can find that nearby too.
The couple who run the hostel are SO lovely. Honestly the nicest people ever — they were really accommodating and helpful with everything. 10/10.

I had an awesome experience staying at Condro Wulan Hostel.
Not only the 3 day trip to the waterfalls, the Mt. Bromo and the Mt. Ijen was amazing, but also the hospitality of Vico and his wife was outstanding. I had so much fun during my stay and can only recommend going there!

I had a great time at Condro Wulan. Vico and his wife are great hosts and go out of their way to make you feel at home and you know that they really want you to have the best time possible. The food is excellent the location is nicely tucked away in the nature.

I stayed at the hostel of Vico and his wife for two days and very much enjoyed their hospitality.
The rooms are simple but clean and their super friendly and helpful ways were so nice.
The place is a bit remote and out of the city but therefore very green all around.
If all of that is what you want for your accommodation I can highly recommend it.

Great tour with even greater service. A family run hostel with all the help you need to explore the mountains and waterfalls of Java. Would recommend to anyone who wants the cheapest price around and the best hospitality, which is everyone.

Very nice hostel! The owners are very kind and always ready to help and to give travel tips. I recommend the 3-4 days experience with Bromo, waterfalls and Ijen, it's cheap considering all the activities, well organised and totally worth ed.

Super super friendly hosts — really awesome people who want to make sure you’re having a nice time! Great location, hostel is nice — can be a tiny bit noisy due to thin walls and calls to prayer etc but wasn’t really a problem. We did the mount bromo sunrise tour with them and it was great (although beware it is a VERY long day/night) — overall excellent hostel and would recommend!

We didn't stay at this hostel, but we booked the Bromo tour through them. The host welcomed us before the tour, let us relax in the living room, and even allowed us to take a shower. He was very responsive, and the tour was well organized. When we returned, they prepared a delicious breakfast for us and helped us plan the next part of our journey. We would definitely recommend them for organizing a Bromo tour!

We booked the 4n3day tour with them to go to Tumpak Sewu, Bromo and Ijen. The tour was organized so well, we didn’t have to think about anything else than when we could get some sleep 😴.
The owners are really nice, the food we ate here was the best indonesian food we’ve had on our trip!
The rooms are a bit small, but you aren’t in them much anyway. You get access to 2 shower/toilets and free water and coffee.
We truly had a great time staying here and booking their tour, if you want a great experience book through them!
They also offer to give you an extra day off if anything happens (you get sick, bad weather. ) and you can continue the tour later, which I thought was nice.

We booked a 4day/3nights tour through Condro Wulan Hostel and it was amazing! Everything was well organized, Vico took care of us every step of the way right untill we got dropped off in Bali. The experiences, especially Mt. Ijen were out of this world. I cannot recommend this enough! Last but no least, the food was delicious☺️

One of my best hostels in Indonesia.
The owners are so kind; they recommended many places to go. They offer tours for all the famous activities around.
I had a very good time talking with them both, and the food is very good there.
In the garden, they have many fruit trees, a very small chicken (chicky), and a ginger cat!
I wish I could have stayed longer.

We stayed in the hostel for a couple nights, because we wanted to start our 3 day tour there with first a rest day at the hostel. The location is really nice, if you like nature and are not a fan of a busy city. The service was also very nice, the breakfast was delicious the owners of the hostel are very friendly and helped us with any questions. We stayed as a couple in one room, the room was okay only the bed a little small. But for a hostel private room it was enough.
The tour was provided by the hostel, the tour was amazing. We did the waterfall, mount bromo and ljen vulcano tour. It was worth the price! All was taken care off and the service was good. We recommend this place to everyone!

I was staying here a couple of nights and have to say it’s a little paradise. The owners (Vico and his family) are very kind and always try to help and make you feel comfortable. It’s a bit remote but that’s what I loved about it! Outside the busy city you have a little peaceful place here to spend some days and plan a nice stay in Malang. I also did the tours they offer and it was such a great decision. Beautiful impressions and always a helping hand to figure out how to have the best experience. Recommend 100%

I would definetely recommend to any traveller looking for a familiar and friendly environment. I was travelling with my friend and Vico and his wife are some of the nicest people we met in our whole trip so far… they were very welcoming since the first day we arrived and helped us with any doubts or questions we had. The food you can order at the hostel is also some of the best we had! The place is nice and clean and offers all the basic needs… hot shower, coffee or tea, Wi-Fi and comfy beds. If I ever come back I will definetely stay here again☺️

I had an absolute amazing experience here. The owner Vico and his family is really nice. I felt a bit like home.
Vico helped me with a recommendation where I can do streetart. He got me in contact with the people from Jodipan, the colourful city. There I got to make a mural, inspired by the tail of Malang, I learned from Vico.
