I recently stayed at Luminor Hotel Banyuwangi, and they actually upgraded my room to a Junior Suite! A big thank you to Mas Rofi (if I remember his name correctly) for that wonderful gesture. However, keeping things completely honest, here is my objective review of the stay.
The room itself was very spacious, comfortable, and the cleanliness was decent. Both the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free.
Unfortunately, things took a downturn during breakfast. Even though it was a Sunday, it definitely wasn't a peak holiday season like Eid or New Year, so the chaos was unexpected. Plates, cutlery, and food stations were completely empty, and it took a remarkably long time for the staff to reload them. I noticed the chef walking back and forth checking the buffet, which makes it even more baffling—empty dishes should have been replenished before running out completely.
To make matters worse, the newly restocked cups and glasses weren't properly washed; I could see food crumbs stuck on the rims. During the meal, I also encountered an undercooked chicken in the opor dish. Then, something happened that has never occurred to me at any other hotel: the staff cleared away my tea and coffee cups while they were still half-full, right in front of me, without even asking for confirmation.
If this is how the restaurant handles a regular weekend, I can’t even imagine how chaotic it gets during actual peak seasons.
Friendly people but the room was not really a recommendation. AC was not really cooling and it took more than 5 minutes to get hot water. White bedsheets were also not 100% white everywhere, had some stains. Also, the hotel was not full but they decided to put us right next to multiple rooms of loud teenage girls when the hotel was not even full.
The takeaway breakfast was ok! Food in the restaurant took a while even when we were alone but was ok.

Was a great time being at the Luminor. Pool area ist very beatiful and not many people. Rooms are nice! Everyone in the staff is very friendly especially Hendri helped us extremly with our laundry and Information but also the female receptionist (dont have her Name) was very nice.
Air Kondition was working good (one could argueing Even to good :D) The breakfast was also good and everything was Full.
From what I read before in the negative comments nothing Happend. So I think the hotel is really trying to work on improving things.
