My experience staying here for the first time has been very good, Alhamdulillah. I can say that I fell in love with it at first experience. As a Muslim traveler, what I look for is the availability of a Masjid or prayer room (Mushola). Alhamdulillah, this hotel has a prayer room, and a masjid is just a few steps away. The room also provides a prayer mat, qibla direction, and a copy of the Quran. The call to prayer can also be heard from the nearby masjid. The reception staff are friendly and wear hijabs, and the security and other staff members are also welcoming to visitors. In front of the hotel, there is a duck restaurant and a Padang food stall, so you can enjoy some culinary experiences as well. There's a mini gym and a small swimming pool. The room is tidy and clean, with a view of Gresik city. It's comparable to hotels I have visited in Dubai. Oh, and they even offer bike rentals. The air conditioning is cool, lighting is good, and the toilet is well-equipped, plus they provide slippers. Overall, the Horison GKB Hotel is the best!

The meeting room is near the outside cafe is good and can be adjusted for smaller group. The most I like is the restaurant: Bebek GKB. Great taste, good price and great service from the staffs. I have been dining at Bebek GKB few times with my overseas guests. And always great!

This is not a good hotel if you're looking for a stay after a business trip. The location is in the city center, but you'll hear a lot of noises from outside. Moreover, they turn on the music in the hallway 24 hours and the room is not soundproof! I asked the hotel staff to turn off the music in the hallway, but they didn't do it! It made me really difficult to sleep—I had to make myself really tired to get to sleep! Slept at 1am and woke up really tired.
