I spent one day here just to visit Bromo. I don't think this place is suitable for backpackers or tourists. They arranged my jeep to Bromo but it was overprized, as well as my car back to Surabaya. Also, communication was very hard since the staff don't really speak English. The room is nice and the bed is comfortable but the whole place is very loud. They make parties, so this is not a quiet place. They have a café upstairs and the rooms are right underneath it. Since there is no isolation whatsoever, you hear everybody walking and talking as if they were in your room.
It is quite sad that the organization and the atmosphere they create are not good (especially for backpackers or tourists) because the place is actually really beautiful.
