Stayed at Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel in Solo and had a really pleasant experience. The hotel has that classic Javanese charm — traditional architecture, spacious rooms, and a calm atmosphere that feels very local and authentic.
I actually got a free room upgrade during check-in, which was such a nice surprise! The upgraded room was big, clean, and comfortable with a great view of the garden area. The bed was comfy, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which made the stay even better.
The staff were super friendly and polite, always greeting guests with a smile and helping whenever needed. Breakfast was also good, with a mix of local dishes and simple Western options.
The location is convenient — close to the city center and easy to reach some main attractions. The property itself feels peaceful, perfect if you want a relaxing stay away from the crowd.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. The free upgrade and warm hospitality made it even more memorable. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in Solo. 🌿🏨✨
Really the best place to stay and eat in Solo!
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, oozing with atmosphere, being part of a royal residence.
The attached restaurant is beautiful with delicious food and the service far better than at the overpriced resto of Pura Mangkunegaran.

Great hotel with historical artifacts on display, a beautiful lobby and an amazing swimming pool for workouts. However the rooms would need to be refreshed: only one power plug by the desk which is only turned on when lights are also on, so cannot charge at night. The bed covers have holes and stains. However had a great two nights stay there, also considering the exceptional location in city center right by the night market!
