Whiz Hotel Pemuda Semarang

The main benefit of staying at this hotel is the location which is close to Tugu Muda, Simpang Lima, etc as the icon of the city. Room and service it's just ok, small parking space.

The AC would make a horrible noise. I took a video — watch and listen for yourself.
Wi-Fi also wasn't stable: sometimes it was impossible to connect (see the screenshot).
And finally (although much less important), the lid of the kettle wouldn't stay open when opened. It wasn't practical to pour water into it because it would always close back.
Apart from that, the staff are exceptionally polite and welcoming. And the rest of the facilities in the room were great. I'm sorry for leaving a 3-star review, but I think that when we go to a hotel of a renowned company like Whiz and pay a lot for a room, having a properly functioning AC and Wi-Fi is the least we can expect.

Nice room, not too clean, Aircon is cold, Wi-Fi is so so, hot water goes well, nice view from window.

A budget place to stay. Nice value for money. Comfortable bed to sleep. The breakfast is tasty and lots of choices. Quite a strategic place, near the malls and landmarks in Semarang. Gooe choice to sleep for a short stay.

It's great to stay here. Location is perfect, near mall and many diners with good price. Service is decent. Room is neat and clean. A must stay hotel when I visit Semarang.

The hotel location is a walking distance to the shopping mall, nearby tourist attractions, some street food, convenience store. And it is not too far from the train station. The breakfast is just okay. The room is quite nice, the AC is working well but sometime is a little bit noisy, hot water is available. The bed is quite comfortable but the amenity is very basic. I stayed here for 3 days and allowed me for late check-out until 1 pm, so it something a plus point from me.

I stayed in this hotel for four days for work travel. I liked the location since it was close to some coffee shops, the cathedral, and the old historical Kampung called Kampung Kajoetangan. I could go to the convenience store (Indomaret) that open for 24hours around 5 meters from the hotel. The breakfast was varied and I tried the fried rice which was good on the first day I stayed there. There room is quite narrow, so if you are person with disabilities, you will find some difficulties moving especially if you are using wheelchairs. The room is still clean though. But in my room the basin is outside the toilet and placed near the door. It was my first time finding a room like that. The staff are nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay there.
