Metro Park View Hotel Kota Lama Semarang

Easy walk between Old Town and a good mall. There are some food street venders close also.
The Alun-Aluun over the road is good on the Friday and Saturday nights (I read that it is also Sunday but we were gone by then) with food markets, a few things for the kids and music.
Breakfast is plenty.
The swimming pool is being fixed so not available until some time in November according to a note in the room but they can get you to another pool.
Rooms are spacious with a fridge (we like a fridge).
We had 2 rooms and would try and get rooms away from the street next time (the one away from the street was much quieter). The mosque close by is very loud and goes for a long time at 3:40-ish.

I appreciate the management’s quick follow-up to my concerns. They showed real goodwill by offering complimentary small bites with fresh juice, a room upgrade, a 5 a. M. Takeaway breakfast, and even a free airport drop-off. These thoughtful gestures made a strong impression.
That said, my stay was disturbed by unnecessary phone calls in the middle of the night—twice—because reception staff confused me with another guest, and again at 8:30 a. M. On Sunday — for a breakfast call I never requested. Instead of verifying details, the staff dialed my room blindly, which revealed a lack of training and professionalism. Being woken up at midnight and early morning for no reason is simply unacceptable in a hotel of this standard.
I recommend that management implement clear policies: no in-room phone calls unless requested by the guest, and no room access without the guest present. This will avoid disturbing guests who expect a restful stay.
Overall, the service recovery and goodwill gestures were excellent, and I thank the management for their efforts. With improved staff training, this hotel has great potential.

This was a lovely place to stay in Semarang. An ideal location close to the old town and malls and eating options, with great facilities including three inhouse restaurants, pool, spa, fitness centre and even a hair salon. But the standout was the quality of the staff — unfailingly friendly and helpful. It was my birthday during my stay and staff surprised me with a cake and singing happy birthday! Highly recommended.

The best strategic hotel in Semarang for a quick travel. The main reason I booked this hotel was because it is close to Kota Lama and fit best for a short business trip. But oh my, the service left my heart in awe.
Staff were very helpful and the room is clean, two most important thing for an accommodation. The variety of food from the restaurant also enough to fit my taste. The room itself was spacious and the service covers all the necessities I need from a hotel.
Thank you Metro Park View! Will most definitely stay here again if I were to go back to Semarang. Good for a short or even long stay since the location is close to the heart of the city.

The hotel is strategic. The room is spacious and clean. The breakfast menu is various and tasty. Toiletries are complete. The staff are friendly and fast respons. Metro Park View did a great job making our stay super comfy. They picked us up from the train station, gave us tasty cookies in the car, jamu as a welcome drink, and the packed breakfast was 💯✨️. They even dropped us back at the station and managed to return my e-toll card I left at the front desk. The building’s a bit old and not super bright, but still cozy. Only downsides were a blackout one morning and housekeeping making our bed without us asking. Overall, it’s pretty balanced—but if you’re after great service, this place is definitely the best bang for your buck.

The location of this hotel is very strategic. I stayed last Friday and really enjoyed my 1-night stay there. I could visit the big mosque, mall, or central market, just by walking. In addition, Metro Park View Hotel is also close to 2 big train stations in Semarang, Semarang Old Town, and the town square which has a culinary bazaar every week. The facilities in the hotel are complete, the hotel staff are also very friendly and helpful, so I didn't experience any problems during my stay. Ms. Clarista & Mr. Eka were very helpful during the check in & check out process without any problems and very fast. I would love to come back to Metro Park View Hotel, and you should also try to stay here. By the way, I really like the lobby. It smells good and the sofa chairs are comfortable.

Good and comfort vibes. Overall excellent. Full amenities, smart tv, good condition of all facilities (ex: bed, bathroom, etc). Me and family had very nice exprience while stay at this hotel. They also have so many choices of foods for Saur time cause its Ramadhan.

This is one of best choices for family staycation. Booking an executive suite for family is the best decision. The cleanliness is quite good. There are a Kids corner and a Haagen-Dazs stall there. You also can walk hotel nearby to Semarang Old Town.

The hotel location is good. Near the train station. And not far from the mall. The room is clean. There are two restaurants at the hotel that provide delicious food. The fitness centre is also good. Last but not least, the breakfast is great. Looking forward to staying at Metropark View Hotel.

Big room, nice and firm bed. Aircon is cold. Just a little bit noisy. The advantage is, it is near to Kota Lama.

The hotel service is satisfactory, the facilities are complete, the food and drink are delicious, the hotel is clean, the hotel decoration can match the Christmas theme, the waiters are friendly, parking ok, the hotel is not far from the mall or near the city.

The hotel is really comfortable, the atmosphere is incredible all the new buildings. I really appreciate and for Eka who's helped with me everything like a translator and help me to conversation when I need something in my room. I give five star for this hotel and how clever eka with speaking english. Thank you, im back december again with my family.

The facility and the hospitality are the best. The breakfast is excellent, various menu from indonesian, western, even japanese. Get my udon soup in the morning was so great. Also they have various of hot drinks. From rosella tea, wedang uwuh, or I can make my own spices tea mixing the ginger, lemon grass, clove, etc. The location is also perfect to commute. In short, I had the best experience in metro park vien. Can't wait to return when I visit semarang again.

Beyond expectation. First time stayed here for a night, I was a bit curious about how it looks after the renovation. Under this management, this hotel is amazing. I like the room and its decoration, the cleanliness, the ambient and the facilities as well. I could go to the gym and it was quite good to have gym time here. The staffs as people said were humble and helpful, yes I met them. Also the foods were various and delicious. At the breakfast time, I could find the chicken grilled and any other healthy menus, the taste also tasty. The location is amazing. Love it.
