Amaris Hotel Pemuda Semarang

Superb. Nice room space, very helpful and humble staff. Would revisit someday else.

First time ever, staying in Amaris Hotel in Semarang and with the group chain hotel. Stayed here because it is located to an event that we have to attend near the area.
Location is strategic, although there are no food area at night. But ordering via Gofood or GrabFood and delivered to the hotel can be an option.
We were a bit dissapointed with the room, because we’ve been to other cheap hotel that are more cleaner and have good amenities compare to Amaris. A bit amazed there’s a washtafel in front of our bed, instead of inside the bathroom. But we had a good sleep and the hotel services were nice and friendly.
The room price that we stayed already include with breakfast. Surprsingly, the breakfast are good. It had clean set-up and provides options of western and eastern menu.

Location is super strategic near Simpang Lima the crowd city center.
Service and staff are nicely done. They are very polite enough and good manner.
Rooms for budget like this, hmm I don't wanna complain anything.
Good for budgeted traveler. But for staying longer than a day or two is not recommended.
TV picture is very bad at room 632. I think they need to change TV. Channel is limited.
Wifi sometimes is slow.
Breakfast is so so. Not so much choice. But it's ok. Not so tasty not so bad.

My room has shower that is leaking and make dripping noise at night, it's quite disturbing but the room is nice and decent.
Parking lot is convenient, no need to worry about not getting one because it's quite spacious.

I was staying in this property during my business trip to Semarang for 1 night.
The check in was fast and efficient, nothing to complaint. Things change when I entered the room. The first thing that caught my attention is that the duvet cover and pillow cases are grey in color! They got a very very serious cleanliness issue, especially during this pandemic. The hotel should be paying much much more attention on cleanliness.
The room itself is also not sound proof and many loud noise from the corridor can be heard clearly from the room. The bathroom is small with very poor water pressure for shower. The room also does not provide any water basic amenities such as water kettle to boil some hot water for coffee / tea.
Breakfast was poor and taste bad. Again, cutleries and plates, all is not clean! Cleanliness is a big big issue in this hotel.
If any of the management team read this review, you guys should have use the time during covid and lockdown to do a deep cleaning of your property. Right now, the property is very bad. Cheap room rate does not mean you can sacrifice cleanliness.
