This hostel is simply amazing! Bedrooms and breakfast are Great but the best thing is the owner and the people working there!
It is the best experience I have ever had in Indonesia and it is mainly thanks to them so thank you Iman! Thanks also to John and Ari!
Also, there are a lot of activites proposed by the hostel like snorkeling and scooters rental.

Stayed one night in a dorm before moving into private room.
Good Aircon strength.
Good location.
Great staff — Iman and Silvia were both great, we had some lovely conversations with both of them 👍
Breakfast included in the price was really wonderful. Proper bread, and nice coffee! 👌
You can book tours and hire scooters here too.
Strangely a sink is omitted from the bathrooms of the dorms. Not sure why?
All in all a lovely spot!

The hospitality is simply top-notch; you feel at ease very quickly. Oni, Silvia, Ardi, and John all helped make this stay wonderful. The dorms have air conditioning, a real plus in this very hot and humid region. All the comforts are there. They offer multiple activities, and scooter rentals are available on-site… The breakfast is truly amazing. You’ll likely make some wonderful connections here. Karimunjawa was a real love-at-first-sight destination for me, and Isola Che is part of that.

The hostel is conveniently located near the harbor! A big thank you to Mba Oni for the warm and welcoming service, and to John and Silvia, the hosts, for making us feel at home. They serve a delicious breakfast and know almost everything about the island, so feel free to ask them for recommendations on where to go!

My favorite place on Karimunjawa: great people, great vibes, great breakfasts.
It has been my third stay at l'Isola Che and I hope to come again sometime.
The rooms and dormitory are nice, clean and confortable (now with A/C and hot shower in the room we stayed at this last time).
Organisation of all you may need is smooth and flawless (private or shared snorkeling trips, motor rentals, transportation…).

I loved it here, the most social place I stayed at in Indonesia, not a party place, just very friendly and easy to meet people. The owners are lovely, invested, enthusiastic. Best of all is their manager, Oni, who is so charming, she really goes out of her way to look after everyone and has excellent advice on everything, what a sweet woman. Their new hostel just down the road had a great sing-along with guitar in the evenings. Terrific vibe, thanks so much.

I could not be more grateful to have chosen to stay at “L’isola che. ”. I felt just like home 🥰 The staff is the most hospitable that I have ever experienced and I will miss them lots. I had the most delicious breakfast and the brightest smiles everyday! I ended up extending a couple of time. John and Silvia really made me feel like home. Very nice breakfast and a very cozy place. I highly reccomend the snorkeling tour they provide, or just discover the island by bike. John and Silvia will make sure you know where to go. I definitely recommend this place :)

We met the host at his bar on Sunset beach during our first evening on the island — he was so friendly and kind that we decided to book the remainder of our stay at his hostel. John and Anned made this stay extraordinary. The breakfasts were amazing and with their suggestions and organising they made sure we saw the best if karimunjawa. There was also plenty of opportunity to get to know the locals as well as other tourists, as this hostel is super social. Don't worry, be happy :)
