Wonderful experience in Mettaloka Guest House.
It's worth the price. The room is clean, and comfy. There's a lot of green scenery. Really close to the borobudur. Only 5-10 minutes by motorcycle.
The staff is friendly, kind, and helpful.
I'll definitely come back to this place when I'm visiting borobudur again. Thank you.

We booked the traditional room online & it was written in the description as "twin/queen bed". We then made a request for a queen bed. Yet when we arrived, the beds were twin. Not only that, the room was very small, 2 people can't walk in the same lane. The description also promised us mountain view but the windows couldn't be opened & when we stood in front of our room, the view was just trees. Room was very dirty like it hasn't been cleaned since the last person who stayed here. TV was still analog which resulted in we couldn't watch the TV at all since now everything has moved into digital. There were lots of ants so our sleep became broken because they bit. The toilet was leaking & we called for help to fix it up but it seems like the caretaker couldn't understand bahasa, there were lots of misunderstanding with him. They didn't provide food & asked us to just order food online but also they didn't have any cutlery. No Wi-Fi & reception in our room was bad. Images online were deceiving & their regulation doesn't make sense for the amount of money that we paid. Even in Jakarta, we can stay in a much better place for the same amount. And when we complained to the manager, Noni instead asked us to cancel our booking with her broken English. When we looked up the reviews online, it seems like she does have an attitude problem. Ironic, because it's a "meditation" center. Maybe she's the one that needs to meditate.

Stayed here in May 2015, for 3 nights. It had only been open for around 6 months. Apparently we were the first visitors from the UK at the time. We had a warm and friendly reception. The art on display was beautiful. Had my first guided meditation, were I fell asleep, twice. Only a short walk to the temple area. Nice experience would definitely go back in the future.
