It is a little bit hard to find food at night when travelling with kids to Mendut area. Luckily we found this hotel, just to have a dinner here. The hospitality was great, we had a warm welcomed, a great service and had a good dinner here. The ambiance was good as well with a cool weather at night.

Very friendly, courteous staff. Beautiful bungalows, delicious breakfast. Within walking distance are small warungs or small food stalls (Martabak etc) Ca 5-10 minutes drive to the Borobudur Temple. Resort offers free shuttle to temple. It is best to leave just before 6 o'clock (6 o'clock officially opens), the sun is still rising and there is not so much going on yet. Furthermore, you can save yourself the overpriced Sunrise admission (access via a hotel entrance, where you can rather to the temple).

Perfect place for relaxing. Reasonable price. Clean room and facilities. Customizeable dinner. Just a 10 minutes drive from Candi Borobudur and 10 minutes walk from Candi Mendut.

Exactly the place you're searching to stay nearby Borobudur Temple. Luxury bungalow in mixed traditional style with all the service you'd need. The resort features a pool in a beautiful nature environment. Restaurant serves supergood food at very reasonable prices, breakfast included and abundant! Not to mention the staff, so helpful and smiley can't wait to visit it again :)

It is very convenient and luxury consider it's located on a small town. And it's located near World Heritage Monument, Candi Borobudur 10-minutes cycling and also Candi Mendut 2-minutes walking, I would say that it add more value. The service and ambience very nice. Not only the staff, but also it's owner showing great hospitality toward the guest. It is very suitable for romantic gateway and family gathering. The resort quite spacy with nice facilities. The swimming pool have nice temperature despite my visit on rainy season. I would come again with friends and families.

Nice place for serenity. Cozy. The food is nice. Lychee sere nya enak. Really worth to spend the weekend. Recommended for family with kids to enjoy nature. The room rate is very affordable with this kind of quality. Only 10 mins drive to Borobudur; perfect spot.

You simply cannot beat the luxury of this place. The staff do a superb job at making your stay comfortable. The bungalows are spacious and well-equipped, and the architecture is fantastic. There are other hotels a bit closer to the temple but the resort will happily arrange a car for you whenever you need it (I particularly recommend the sunrise tour). Prices are very reasonable. It doesn't get much better than this!

What a beautiful, eclectic, bespoke, artistic boutique resort! Super friendly staff are wonderful examples of the best of Javanese politeness. Lovely food consistently presented outstandingly. Attention to detail is first class!
So close to Borobudur, I look forward to recommending them to all my clients considering visiting Central Java. So much better than staying 50km away in busy Jogjakarta.

Fantastic experience… great, friendly & accommodating staff… beautiful grounds/facilities… terrific restaurant… can't recommend it enough.

At Amata every effort is made to make sure a guest is comfortable. It begins at the airport with the chilled bottles of water, coke and cold towelletes kept in the car. Of course the warm smile of the driver is an added bonus. The entire team is ever eager to help and always do so enthusiastically with a smile. The cottages are like traditional Javanese huts and are tastefully done. Simple yet elegant. It's a small property with a big heart. Food is delicious and elegantly served. The souvenirs displayed for buying are very reasonably priced, in fact I found them to be more reasonably priced than at some of the stores in Yogyakarta. Over all it was a great stay and worth every cent I paid.

The service was excellent. They were so friendly. The food was really delicious. I found myself back and forth walking around the resort just to enjoy the view. It was thaaaaat engaging and the vibe was everything. Would love to go for another stay.

Nice rustic feel of the place. Food was average, rooms were good. Wifi only available at lobby, with very weak reception in rooms.

The staffs are very attention and merticulous. We have to leave the hotel very early every morning and they offered us a breakfast box because we could not have the breakfast in the hotel. We only managed to have breakfast one morning and it was good. Wish we could have it every morning. We had the fried rice for dinner for 2 nights. It was good. On the last night which happened to be my friend's birthday, they prepared a brownie cake with ice cream for her. It is very sweet of them. However due to the location, the distance to other places are really far. To Jomblong, it required at least 3 hrs drive minimum. But if you are only interested in the Borobudur sunrise, it's a great resort to stay! And you can spend the rest of the time just chilling in the resort!

Amazing stay at Amata Borobudur Resort! Beautiful bungalows, grounds and pool. Very close to Borobudur temple. You can either use their complimentary bicycles to get there or you can take advantage of their complimentary shuttle service. Every single staff we interacted with at the resort provided excellent service. The food was exceptional. We enjoyed the huge multi-course breakfast that was included as part of our stay as well as lunch and three dinners over the course of our three night stay. There was a minor issue with our bungalow and the hotel staff quickly addressed it and upgraded us to another bungalow. Would highly recommend Amata Borobudur Resort if you are planning to visit Borobudur.

Very nice hotel. The food was excellent and the rooms were beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and they organise a bus to take you to the sunrise at Borobudur.

Value for money & good service.

Small boutique resort that is immaculately maintained and run. Location: The resort is a couple of kms away from Borobudur. The resort runs shuttles to and from Borobudur temple (including for the Sunrise tours). Accommodation: Just a handful of Javanese-style teak villas. Beautifully furnished. Facilities: Excellent pool (the cleanest pool we swam in Indonesia). Good speed internet. Food: An extensive breakfast is included with the room. The on-site restaurant has very good food presented beautifully. The menu is a mixture of Indonesian and European fare. Service: Superb. The staff go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Friendly and courteous staff. For example, we wanted to rent a motorcycle to look around. Rental motorcycles are not normal in this part of Indonesia. But they managed to find out one and also took us to/from the rental place.
