Amata Borobudur Resort

I was very impressed with this hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I slept in a bungalow, which I’ve never done before in all my travels and it was absolutely great. Even the breakfast was outstanding since you tell them what you want the night before so it’s cooked fresh versus having a buffet. I had the best fried bananas, Thailand sweet papaya, and spring roll. Even the ginger tea was delicious. I can’t say more about this hotel. It was clean and friendly and I highly recommend it to anyone that is going to see. Borobudur, which is very close by.

Pleasant stay here. Warm staff, nice room and surrounding. We took the morning walk around the village. Nearby there is Iwak Kalen Srowol that offers affordable high quality foods. Visit to Boronudur is near and there are a lot of restaurants with nature theme around. We will definitely back and try the Joglo villa.

We had an amazing stay at Amata Borobudur Resort! The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated with Javanese touches, and very clean. The resort’s peaceful garden and stunning pool area were perfect for relaxing after visiting Borobudur Temple, which is just a short drive away. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh local dishes served in a serene open-air setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tranquility, comfort, and genuine hospitality in Magelang!

I don't understand why Amata Borobudur Resort is rated as a 3-star hotel only, although the services we received during our stay here were 5-star!
The location is strategic, really close to many attractions in Borobudur. The hotel ambience is amazing, serene and you feel close to nature.
The room is clean and spacious, with elegant touch combining modern and traditional design.
The staff — this is the highlight of this resort — highly attentive, super friendly, and make you feel like home.

This hotel/Resort was booked by JackalHollidays for me to go to the Borobudur.
It is a very nice Resort with several wooden bungalows with al the comfort you need. Breakfast and dinner were perfect. The staff very friendly.
There is however a Minor issue, it is quite close to a road, traffic can be noisy. However with earplugs everything is fine.

The staff here were truly kind, heartful, and friendly. Even though I caused them a lot of trouble, they sincerely listened to us and solved every problem I had 🥲🫂
The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options, including vegan menus. At night, they lit candles for us, creating a romantic atmosphere.
The room we stayed in was so cute and cozy, and they even prepared an accessible room for a family member with mobility issues.
Thanks to all of this, I truly felt that I want to come back to this place again 🥲🙏🏻

Great hotel very close to Borobudur 10mn by car, and 1h20mn to Prambanan. A peaceful place with a nice garden and a large pool. The food is excellent and the staff incredible. It was the perfect place to rest after visiting the temples. The bungalows are very well decorated, they are large and comfortable.

FANTASTIC! The rooms and facilities are brilliant, but the staff are even better! They are SO attentive and can't do enough for you! We were away to the temple from a very early start, and they messaged us to see if we would like our room made up as we hadn't indicated so. As I had no data, they phoned our guide later on to ask us. This is really typical of our experience here. The restaurant and bar area are also amazing. You must stay here!

We stayed here for one night to go and explore the rich culture of the area. This place is amazing — truly Asian; very nice, peaceful and with a staff which goes above and beyond what you would expect to make you as comfortable as possible. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the breakfast is really full with a lot of options. We also very much enjoyed the nice pool area and just the feeling of unwinding and relaxing.
I highly recommend this resort, if you’re in the area. I could easily have stayed for a lot longer.

A cute resort just 10 minute drive from Borobudor temple. We only stayed for one night but it was quite enjoyable. The pool was decent-sized. We had three meals at the hotel and they were good by local standards and reasonably priced.
Only cons is that the shower of the room is not in good condition and not properly cleaned; drainage and tiles were full of mold.

This beautiful resort is the perfect base for visiting Borobudur temple. The bungalows are really nice with proper beds and a nice semi outside bathroom. The veranda makes for a good place to read a book and drinking a cold beer while overlooking the garden and swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and the (Indonesian) food is very tasty.

We had a very pleasant time at Amata Borobudur Ressort. The Ressort is rather small and has a very nice architecture. The service and food here has been excellent. We really appreciated our 5 days stay here. It is very close to Borobudur Temple and the other sightseeing highlights are good reachable.

The resort is situated near the famous Borobudur Temple, away from central Yogyakarta. It’s beautiful, and I loved the pool and the rooms. We booked three different rooms, and all were nice. The staff were fantastic—no complaints at all. The massages were among the best I've had, and the staff were very responsive to our requests, even arranging bikes for us.

Room was spacious, got (big) bath tub and have porch overlooking the rice fields. Breakfast menu was complete and can be brought to our room which is nice. Other than the bed (a bit hard but maybe I am used to a soft bed), I don't see any negative thing to say about this hotel. We stayed during weekdays before the long holiday so it was not crowded. Overall experience is satisfying.

We loved this place so much, we extended our stay! The staff is wonderful, grounds are beautiful, the free breakfast is absolutely gorgeous and so much food. Lots of activities, the pool is lovely. We couldn't ask for more for the price!

Our stay was perfect, staff service and politeness was top notch, from when we arrived at the reception until we check out. Evidenced by my kids who were able to quickly bond with most of the hotel staff. Breakfast menus can be improved with more variety, but i’m just being nitpicky and it all tasted great!
We will definitely consider Amata for future visit to Magelang!

Great location, beautiful resort, and the restaurant took me by surprise. The food is very very good!
This is a small but cozy resort comprised of Javanese style bungalows and spacious hotel rooms. The resort is close to Borobudur temple and the town of Mendut.
