Could be cleaner — lots of poop around the room from either a mouse, lizard, or cockroach, despite nearly daily cleaning, but luckily I didn’t encounter one during my stay. I just woke up to it on my bed one day and they changed the sheets for me. Yeah it’s kind of run down — the toilet and sink leaks and there’s no hand soap really but it is 10 minutes from the main strip, the staff is helpful, and it is a reasonable price with AC. They have a kind of shitty motorbike you can rent and a pool, it really suited all my needs for my budget. I recommend.
Room is basic, I was travelling solo and had no prior reservation. Negotiated the price myself and got a pretty good deal (much better than the online rates). The guest house is run by a family and they are very polite their English language is not good and need to use the translator every time to explain. I had a situation where in the scooter I rented from the port got exchanged by mistake from my end. The owner of the scooter came to hotel and demanded huge amount of money to get the scooter from Klingking beach or asked me to go and get the scooter myself. The family intervened in my favour and the hotel guy came along with me till Klingking beach on his motorbike and we bought back the scooter. It was a very kind gesture and they did not charge me anything for it.
The owner lady Lim is really sweet, when they learnt that I am from India and I am a Hindu, they were so delighted to know about the culture of India. It was great time staying here. Hope to visit again.

Clean room, hot water, air conditioning, Wi-fi, low price, quiet environment. The hosts were nice.
It's next to a temple, there was some music playing when a religious festival was happening, but it wasn't loud.
I saw some animal poo (rat? possum? ) in the bathroom, but I didn't see any actual rats or possums. I made sure all the food in my room was in sealed containers.
I'm very sensitive to fragrance, it gives me migraines, and the villa was suitable for me. There was a fragrance thing in the bathroom, but I removed it.
