I stayed at this place for a day on 25th of September 2025. I had a horrible experience. The staff was not supportive at all.
1. The hotel is located on kind of a hill and the way to the hotel is quite steep. Difficult to reach. When I was checking out I requested the staff to help me get a taxi to the port, the staff simply denied and said they don’t have any contact and they can’t help. As there is no gojek or other app available there I had to do all the online search for taxi, talk to many people, convince and all to pick me up. I almost missed my ferry and the staff did not even try helping me.
2. They don’t have restaurant in the hotel. And when I asked the staff if they have some contacts of the nearby restaurants where I can call and order something, a straight no again. Didn’t even try helping me. And similar experience with drinking water.
Overall, horrible experience. Zero support from the staff. Avoid this place.
Look some of the road near there is, well, not a road just a rocky track. The short cut to the yellow beach was what we used most. Adventure plus but short. The pool here is the deepest we have had anywhere on our 3 bali trips. Our room noʻ9 had an amazing view towards ceningan. The room is immaculate with the cleanest bathroom we have had. Rooms cleaned every day if required and a wonderful restaurant with a million dollar view.

I had a distressing and unacceptable experience staying at D'Arya in Nusa Penida, and I am writing this to warn other travelers to avoid this property at all costs. This was, without question, the worst accommodation experience I have ever had.
Safety and Security
The most alarming aspect of our stay was the complete lack of security. Our room door did not lock, leaving us feeling vulnerable and unsafe throughout the entire night. Being the only guests on the property in a remote location with no security made it a terrifying experience. To make matters worse, there are no street lights in the area, which meant we were essentially trapped in the room because it was not safe to walk outside after dark.
Hygiene and Cleanliness
The hygiene standards here are non-existent. The room was infested with bugs, and it was clear the bed sheets had not been changed between guests, as they were covered in visible, disgusting stains.
We had packed our own cup noodles in anticipation of food issues, but even that was impossible. When we went to use the electric kettle, we found it was completely unsanitary—it contained dead ants and actual pieces of cement debris inside.
Location and Accessibility
The location is horrible. It is completely isolated, with no nearby hotels, shops, or restaurants. Because of the total lack of lighting and accessibility, we were unable to go out to find food and were forced to go to bed hungry.
I strongly advise anyone considering this place to look elsewhere.
