Sal Secret Spot

Sal Secret Spot is a cozy and well-designed place offering a calm and private atmosphere, ideal for guests seeking relaxation away from crowds. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, with attentive service that enhances the overall experience.
Minor drawback: the location is slightly farther from central streets, and there are no sidewalks nearby, which may be less convenient for walking.

The staff were the highlight of my stay — they were friendly, attentive and learnt every guests name by heart which was a lovely and welcoming touch! The room was great, fully stoked with essentials including a beach bag and sarong to use during your stay! Coming in rainy season made using the outdoor style bathroom slightly unconventional but I still used the pool during a rainstorm! The hotel is a very intimate affair but very local to a lot of the hotspots in Uluwatu! Thank you to the amazing staff for making my stay at Sal Secret Spot!

Excellent hotel, truly a wonderful place. The pool is amazing and the whole atmosphere is so relaxing. We had an incredible time there. I would come back a thousand times!. Best breakfast at Uluwatu.
Most importantly, the people. The entire staff was always kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel completely at home.

We stayed for 4 nights and can’t wait to return. The staff were very friendly and always willing to assist with the many questions we had being first timers in the area. Aesthetically, it was simply stunning, location perfect for all our needs with a short walk to local cafes, circle k, motorcycle hire, gyms, yoga studios, shops, etc. A great balance between hotel, villa and bungalow type accommodation — with a true intimate resort feel. The only criticism was the bed (too soft) and pillows (like rocks). It was our first stay in Bingin/Uluwatu and we’ll definitely be back…

Very welcomed place, the staff is great, attentive, friendly, smiling, beautiful people. My room in front of the sea was amazing, clean, it had everything that I needed, including a purse that you can take with you to the beach. The breakfast was delicious a few different options to change everyday. I met Yinta and she is exceptional, so kind and always with a positive attitude, she offers me a lift when I had to move to another hotel, very nice from her. Definitely I recommend this hotel, the view is everything that you want to see every morning or at sunset time. If you can’t walk too much be aware there is a few stairs before to arrive but completely worth it for the good staying. I hope can still be there when I come back 🙌🏾🫶🏾. Thanks to everyone for makes me feel so comfortable there.

Second time here at Sals on the beach front at Bingin. The views are just spectacular from your room and the balcony, rooms are small but comfortable with internal bathroom and toilet. There’s a mini bar for those afternoon sunset Beers with snacks and water.
Breakfast is basic but their Balinese coffee is a perfect start to the day.
The beach rooms are a bit of a trek down and up stairs daily so if you have restrictions it would be best to stay in Sals central or main locations. The staff are wonderful and most were here when we came 2 years ago.

Stunning views, lovely breakfast, and very helpful staff. Our room was beautifully decorated for our honeymoon. However, it wasn’t clear we’d be staying far from the main resort. It involved a car ride and long, dark path – doable for us, but not ideal or clearly communicated when booking.

The place is really nice, with great and helpful staff, is close to the beach, but be aware that the path to the beach has a lot of stairs. The breakfast was tasty, but the portion could be a bit bigger. The place provides a menu for lunch, but no dinner. There is a supermarket really close, you have a few restaurants/warungs options as well or you have a big variety for food ordering on Grab application. The pool is really nice, the water temperature is perfect, you can ask for pool towels from the staff as well. One of the days we had issue with the water pressure in the shower, but nothing serious, they resolved it quickly. I would totally recommend the place :)

Lovely place to stay! Super sweet people, nice breakfast, nice pool, good rooms. The location is also very good, lots of lovely places within walking distance. The only downside was that there was quite a lot of noise from the surroundings. But despite that, I would definitely come back.

I was staying in Sal Beach, which has a really stunning view. But this is basically it. So, the three stars go to the view and the friendly lady, who was preparing breakfast. The rest is not worth the stay. The rooms themself, furniture, equipment are old and dirty. This is also the biggest problem of this hotel — everything looks good in pictures, but in reality it‘s really filthy: dirty grey towels, dirty grey bed linens, mild in the bathroom, problems with electricity and therefore water on one day, problems with Wi-Fi on the other day. The way to the hotel (esp. The last 200 meters) go through a construction site. It‘s just a narrow path without any lightening and then steps down the hill. If you need to go this in the evening, you will need a flashlight and it is really spooky and very unpleasant to walk to the hotel in the evening. But you need to, because no car it bike will take you there. Every evening an extremely unpleasant experience. It says 4star hotel, but it hardly deserves 2 stars. The worst hotel I was staying in quite a long time.

We have enjoyed our stay at Sal so much! The staff is really helpful and friendly, and they went out of their way to make our stay as great as possible, helping us with questions, luggage and always checking in to see if there was anything we needed. The breakfast is wonderful, it truly feels like a treat to be at Sal.
If there is availability, we recommend to stay at the bungalows at Sal Central, a 3 minute walk from Sal Secret Spot. It has a great pool and feels more peaceful. The bungalows have a noise cancelling roof so you don’t hear any chickens or motorbikes. The bungalow slept great, was clean and had a great bohemian vibe. We will 100% be back, thank you team Sal! Very beautiful picture place! The rooms, common area’s and swimming pool are all very clean and pretty! The swimming pool has lots of place to tan, sit and chill. The rooms have very pretty outside bathrooms. The location of Sal Secret spot is very good, nearby many restaurants, the beach and stores. The breakfast was great and very delicious, most of all the staff was very friendly! They came to talk with us everyday, special thanks to Nila, she was so friendly and helpful!

Absolutely beautiful calm oasis in uluwatu. Room was lovely and pool area and breakfast area also lovely. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Outdoor shower was a highlight. Bed very comfy with mosquito netting. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious with fresh juice every day.

A hotel desperately in need of a renovation, redecoration and sprucing up. It looked exceptional tired. Just one of the many examples was a bathroom roof leak which was dripping through both light fittings, and was exceptionally dangerous. There was also heavy construction taking place on the land next door which caused a lot of noise disruption.
The staff and service was brilliant, but can’t elevate the rating which reflects infrastructure, upholstery and how tired the place looks etc.
I hope the Portuguese owners invest back in the property and bring it back to a level reflective of a 4 star hotel.

This was our first stay in Uluwatu and we took a gamble not knowing which area etc. But Sals was a great hidden gem!
The room was lovely, quite simple bathroom, but comfy beds and great ac. We liked we could just have a swim just by walking a few metres from our room. Staff were very friendly and polite, beautiful plants around the pool and great breakfast area.
Breakfast was ok. Simple choices but did the job such as a pancake or eggs as you liked.
Close by to everything and tucked away for peace and quiet!

The beach rooms offer great ocean views and are perfect for observing the surfers. Staff is welcoming and helpful and the breakfast is fine. Sadly the water didn’t work multiple times, this can’t be blamed on the hotel though! Overall we had a great stay.
