Stunning hotels, clean and really relaxing place. Friendly staf and they have special tasty papaya topping. Different but delicious.

Nice large rooms, which were clean and comfortable, but looked a little used. It located a little bit outside ubud so it is very quiet and not crowded. There is a shuttle bus that brings you to the city centre and also picks you up again. The last pick up is 11pm, so if you need to be picked up earlier than that only 5 pm is offered for free. In case you wish to be picked up in between you need to pay 50k. A scooter can be rented for 60k per day. The breakfast was good, but portion size was moderate, I personally had to get some extra food later on. Staff was always nice but there were some communication issues as the spoke little English.

Perfect place for a democratic price. I recommend to take a room on the second floor, on the first smells of dampness (very caring staff, clean rooms, luxurious grounds. Only weak a little, yes breakfasts vegetarian, fruit salad and some dish, but to whom it is even a plus will be. But the quality is excellent.
Convenient check-in directly from the road and parking for cars. Quiet area, in the evening you can sit on the balcony over a cup of tea and watch the bats or herons, and wake up in the morning under the tweets of local Solovyov.

We went to the restaurant to eat and drink. It was the worst quality food I've had in Bali, period. We called to make sure they would serve non guests at the hotel since we are staying at a villa accross the Street. They made it sound like they were very busy and we needed a reservation so we made one. We (group of 6) get there to 4 tables and no one there. We are excited and there's some cats around that are super friendly like awesome, whole place to ourselves and friendly hosts. We just ordered light, a pizza, chicken satay and french fries and some drinks. 1 and a half freaking hours later after we said we were just going to leave because we were tired of waiting we got the most pathetic excuse for food. The pizza wasn't cooked at all, no melted cheese and it looked like it was dropped on the floor before we got it. The French fries were maybe microwaved but not long enough to actually cook them fully and the chicken serving was minimal. All the food we ordered I personally could have made from scratch in 20 minutes myself and it would have been much much much better. What they did for over an hour well we sat there with our empty glasses I may never know. All though they were friendly, never in my life have I experienced something like that. It's funny now, but as people who consider themselves respectful, that was the first time I seriously considered leaving without paying.

This is a lovely little hotel, with bags of warmth from its surroundings and the staff here. We stayed here for 6 days, it isn't 5* but for the price is very good indeed. The pool area is stunning and their best feature, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable with fresh towels and bedding and have a good bathroom area. They do a shuttle service which is needed to get to centre of Ubud, you could walk but takes you around 25 minutes. They do breakfast and evening meals which are both delicious and tasty, for the price, worth it. Well worth a visit, I would stay here again.

Small and nice place to stay while you are in Ubud area. It feels like home, quite and relaxing.

Have been staying at Gita Maha for 7 days. Upon arrival the staff were extremely accommodating in greeting us and showing us around. The room wasn't to the best of standard with damp in a few places and a bit of peeling plaster. Other than that the design was good and the layout quite nice. There was construction work on while we arrived but it always seemed relaxed by the pool, and service was good in ordering stuff to where we were. Our main concern was the lack of organisation by the younger staff, the senior leaders spoke clear English and were good by us, the younger staff however were clueless when it came to almost anything. Forgetting breakfast boxes for our trek at 2a. M, not refilling room supplies and generally being clueless when asked to do or if they know anything. This is a shame because the majority of staff are young and like this. The others redeemed themselves though as they always had a fix and found a solution to our problems. The hotel cat is gorgeous too so an extra star for that just watch out for the golden orb weavers! Ooh and there's free Wi-Fi alike most places in bali but was pretty slow from our room.

Nice place to stay, it had hot tubs, bathub, shower. Nice view from the bed. The room was big enough and very comfortable to stay.

Clean, spacious room, amazing dry bathroom with tub and separate room for toilets, clean pool, safebox available, bathrobe available, beers and mineral water are available and not too pricey.

Lovely place, affordable price, well provided room, friendly staff. This is a hidden gem between central ubud and tegalalang rice terrace!

Really cozy with the room. Big bedroom, big balcony, with dining table, also nice bathroom.

Awesome little hotel. We stayed there a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. It's not perfect but the prices are great and the staff are always available for anything. Next time we're in Ubud we'll be staying at Gita Maha again.

This is a hidden gem. Lovely small hotel. Clean and fantastic service from all staff, especially Kaudel. Great pool — just need a scooter or use the shuttle bus to get around.
