Overall, the hotel was lovely. The rooms were a bit outdated and the location wasn’t in the centre of Kuta however with that being said:
— the staff were great
— the food and drinks at the hotel were cheap!
— the rooms were clean
— we just caught Gojek everywhere and it literally cost us $1 each time
— swim up bar and happy hour each day so two cocktails for $10!
— there was complimentary water each day For the price I think it’s great value.

Grand Mega Resort & Spa Kuta Bali is a recommended accomodation for staying in Bali. The accomodation looked exactly like the pictures: spacious, comfy and super clean. The toilet is big as the bedroom. Breakfast was very delicious with various menu. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is located in prominent road of Kuta, just a walk distance to International Hospital and Bali Galeria Mall. My family and I had stayed here for several times and we really satisfied. They tried to fool us at the pool restaurant. We asked for a promotion and wanted to pay a la carte.
Then we were given room 605 which faces the main entrance and the street. It was impossible to sleep. The room is not soundproof and it looks like we are sleeping on the street so much is the noise. The rooms smell bad. The bedding does not look clean. The pillows have stains. Breakfast at 9.00 hrs no longer has enough food and is not replenished and the little we ate was bad. As someone commented to me is a hotel for Chinese who come and sleep and eat anything. Do not use this hotel. It's to run away from him. Spoiled the end of our wonderful holiday in BAli.

Not a good experience. We had to move into another room in the middle of the night because we could not rest. Everything was bad.

I stay in their executive room, it’s nice! They have a balinese dance when dinner time…

Check in was easy and staff we were welcoming but unfortunately this was the best it got for us. Our “executive room” was no where near executive. The phone didn’t work for room service, clothes hooks falling off the wall, menu kept falling off its stand, the fridge didn’t work and the sink was stained. We tried sitting for breakfast one morning but were turned away because they were too busy and their was a lack of food to put on our plates every time we tried to have breakf…ast. My partner is type 1 diabetic so this could be very dangerous for her if her blood was low. To top it off me and my partner got food poisoning on our first night here and we drank from some disgustingly dirty bottles when we had bottles of fizzy drink delivered to our room. There excuse was that this is common in Indonesia and the manager that night even had the balls to say “we normally just pour the drinks into a glass so you don’t see the bottles”! In all my time traveling I have never come across this. The hotel breakfast does not accommodate well enough for customers from different ethnicities as well. 90% is focused towards their clearly favored ethnicity which I think is disgusting and border line racist. Upon leaving the hotel the manager asked me to pay the bill for the food which gave me and my partner food poisoning.

Some staff appeared ok and smiley but could be a lot more proactive. Some staff were very unfriendly rooms were clean but hardly got towels. The breakfast options are poor and staff will say no more left. Not worth the extra money and your better off getting your own. Both Western options and Indonesian options very poor and limited. Staff will rush you to eat too. very poor lighting and poor room service. Poor Wi-Fi in the room … in terms of location, its misleading not close to the beach at all. Do not use the taxi service attached to Grand mega or mega boutique as they will try to rip you off, for example agree a price then deny it and ask for more. if its your first time in Bali then do not stay here and id suggest somewhere closer to the beach to avoid 40 mins each way.

Great rooms, friendly service and competitive rates.

We loved our stay here recently, staff are very friendly and accomodating, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast each morning was lovely. Rooms could do with some maintenance but were still very comfortable and reasonably clean. We would definetely stay again. Some great memories here.

The place is amazing. The staff are always courteous and efficient. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Definitely 4 stars. Will be coming back next year.

Memang harganya murah untuk kamar junior suit saat itu dibandrol dengan 700an sudah dengan bathub. Tapi sesampainya disana saya kecewa, kamar pengap suara kendaraan terdengar jelas berisik. Dan parah ya air bathub bau, berwana coklat dan bikin gatal. Air panas juga tidak berfungsi. Tapi sarapan cukup lengkap dan enak.

What a glorious design in the bathrooms. Nice pool area too, good spa. Try the lasagne in the restaurant!

Friendly bar staff * good massage * very noisy * couldn’t use bath due to leaking plug and no hot water * shower would only run cold water, we were booked in to stay for 2 weeks for our honeymoon and only had hot water for one of those days, we checked out and found somewhere else at the 1 week mark. When we asked about the water problem, the reception staff said they know the water on our floor is an issue but there is nothing they could do. They offered to move us to a different floor but when they showed us we had to decline. Right underneath our window was locals burning rubbish 24 hours and blew right into the windows and my husband is asthmatic. * fridge didn’t work * air con good * their coffee was terrible * the pictures online are nothing like what the place is like. Terrible views and located on an extremely busy road. * my husband ended up with bed bug bites all over his legs and back * all in all I would not recommend this place to people staying longer than 1 or 2 nights.

Nice hotel with friendly staff, good meal, unique room design. And location in front off mall bali galerina with beside a convience store and near kuta beach and airport.

Good hotels and large bathroom. But the breakfast have not variatif at all.

Mega boutique is a really value for money property with very good staff. Rooms are small but tastefully done. It's on the main road opposite Bali galeria mall and near to airport. All type of transport options are available nearby. Nearby money changers and Sim card providers are in Bali Galeria mall. Limited food options in the area. Kitchen of the hotel has limited but good menu.

Hotel location is really nice. It's very close to the airport as well as many restaurants including Indian restaurant. A big mall is just in front of this hotel. Free swimming pool, zym also available. The only thing that needs to be improved is the condition of the room n washroom. Our room was deluxe room but it had only 1 charging point. TV cable connection was poor. Washroom had one loose tap. But all this was avoidable as it didn't create any problems. The best thing is that hotel staff was very very helpful. They will listen attentively and follow all ur requests. Would surely recommend…

What’s can I say but I totally loved this place from the minute I walked in. The staff were amazing n friendly nothing was ever to much for them. The room very clean n maintained best night sleep. The food served was top knoch. I can’t fault it at all n will happily stay again.

Everything is good just dont take ur child to this Hotel's swimming pool. Isnt safe for them even for me. = (

Easy to find, near one of bali biggest mall. There's almost no parking for car, better use taxi or uber to come here. Lobby is quite hot since the air conditioning still on progress. Staff were friendly. Room rates were competitive.

Smell of sewage. Dark corridor. Food — Lunch for 3 days not much variety and almost same throughout the 3days. Room very clean and very good.

Great service with amenities from toiletries, transport, buffet breakfast. The room is quite narrow but already includes a bath tub, shower, toilet, cushioned seat, sink, vault and small closet to hang a few clothes. Careful though, 3 sides of the wall have mirrors to make u dizzy.

Nice Hotel. Great location. There is bathtub in the room. Great for relax. Only there is no nice view from the window.

Bad management regarding transport. They are dealing with local drivers to force you to use local taxi on double price and not enter Grab within hotel. One driver also misbehaved with me.

Room service is so poor. Our room had broken mirrors. Towlet showers, tissue rack. But breakfast is very good with varieties of foods.

This is a cost effective and bful hotel. It serves you more and rooms are much more well equipped as per the cost per night. Amazing stay.

This fucking hotel is shit. Rooms smell, full of bugs, bed sheets stained, water heater and aircon not working. I moved rooms 3 times because of different problems, such as cockroaches in the room and many other reasons. They finally allowed me to move to their Sister hotel Mega Boutique which is equally as bad. Pls do not stay here if u want a good time in Bali. It is the worst hotel in Bali. And worse of all, the staff don't give a fucking shit about your issues. I moved to a villa after 4 days to spend my last 2 nights in Bali. Fuck this hotel.

All good except, we got room next to the local people house, has a dog that always barking every morning. So annoying.

Nice hotel for a great price. Busy street with alot of traffic until late at night and early morning.

Pleasant stay. Very friendly staff. Food is good from their cafe too.

We had a three bedroom room on the 4th floor, everything was tidy and fresh and the service was excellent. The pool is on the top floor, and we loved spending time by it. The one negative I would give is that we were not able to get the water hot enough for baths, and when the ac was on in our room we were usually cold and turned it off after short periods of time. Also there was some trouble with our locker safe malfunctioning but the receptionists were happy to help out with that!

Budget Hotel. Beds were not clean as some stains on bed sheet. We even found ants when we checked in. Okay in General. +tive : Room was very big. Separate, big bathroom with nice bathtub. Breakfast was more than okay with verities. Huge swimming pool. -tive : Room need to be cleaned more. Rooms with street views are really disaster as the sound of the cars and bikes are very noisy sometimes till 9 o’clock at night (Be careful). Hotel is cery close to v. Big mall, but unfortuntlly you need to cross a very busy road or have to take a long walk to cross. (Be careful). The view of the river behind the hotel is not nice as it is dirty. Not enough parking for cars if you need to. In General : Not highly recommend as it is a budget hotel. But for a quick city tour is okay. Quiet, spacious, clean and conducive. Very accessible as the shopping is just opposite the. Hotel. And near to DFS if youre taking the kura kura bus. The room is very clean.

Very good hotel with great price comes the great facilities. Great for couple. The room offers you big space with separated bathroom and a bathtube (with a tv! ). The atmosphere is calm and green with many plantation in the wall which is very relaxing. The pool is on the rooftop which offers you great scenery and windy situation and there is a pool bar also in here. The staff also very responsive. Great price comes with great hotel.

Had a great stay, food was beautiful for every meal and the staff were helpful and couldn't do enough to help, they even played disney tunes from the swim up bar for our daughters! Would recommend.

First stay in this hotel was on 2012. New hotel, great layout. Spacious bathroom with separate shower + bathtub equipped with LCD TV so that you can soak and watch. Big mirror in bathroom and bed room. Comfortable bed, great pool. Location is a little bit far away from beaches, but opposite the Hotel there's Galleria mall for your dining and shopping needs. Recently I come back, and most of the facilities need better maintenance and renovation. Thus the 3 stars.

Very beautiful place, we enjoyed the pool with poolbar and it's very clean. The staffs are all accommodating and kind! The breakfast buffet is also good and the food is delicious, the variations of food is good :) two thumbs up!

I like the room. Comfey and clean. If you like mirrors on your room, this hotel offers you a lot. The room and the bath room is so spacious. You may like to spend a lot of time in the bath room. Provides welcome drink at the room. The food is okay. The pool is okay. It is near the airport too.

It's a good place as a chain hotel with all facilities that other 3stars plus hotel have. The room doesn't has view to out side. The swimming pool is great place to hang out on top of the hotel with bar service next to it, it has decent size can do some laps for swimming in it.

We are currently staying at the grand mega until 19th of January 2017, and are having the most amazing time. Firstly let me say the staff is extremely friendly and always willing to assist and make you comfortable, not because they have to, but because they are genuinely nice people. My room is on the ground floor facing the pool which I thought would be noisy, not at all the infinity pool is quite calming and relaxing. Breakfast is served daily and this is a full breakfast with mostly traditional Balinese cuisine. For the not so brave there is a pancake and ice-cream station, omelettes breads, croissants… lets just say you wont go hungry! This hotel is conveniently located next to a mini mart which is open 24hours and about 200m from the mall with various shops restaurants. I also find the hotel shuttle leaving at 10, 2 and 4 which transports guest around Kuta for free very useful as I only have to pay for a cab back to the hotel. Will definitely return.

The staff are very friendly and the place is awesome, pool relaxing and clean breakfast yummy, would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good resort.

Reasonable and low price hotel on Main Street leading into Kuta area, close to airport (15min) and costs 150, 000rpa one way. Shopping centre across the very busy road has multiple stores and restaurants in it. Hotel restaurant pricey for pseudo-American dishes with no local feel. Pool bar staffed only sometimes and very expensive. Rooms run down though still pretty, only two basic bath towels in the room, front desk only willing to send up one more. Pool towels few and far between. Loud music around pool starting at 1000 and doesn't stop until 2200h (10pm), Great breakfast though, omelet stations amazing and good selection of fruit and juices.

The hotel staff were friendly. We rented our bike from the hotel lobby itself (good price) Walking distance (3-5 mins) to hypermarts, mini marts, warungs (one halal restaurant behind Grand Mega hotel) room is clean.

Good enough for explorers like us, we like to go out instead of spending all day in the hotel. However they still have a roof pool, small gym and bar if you'd like to relax a bit. Nice and clean room, chilled light music, and the chef-special vegan food was fantastic!

There was a lack of communication between hotel staff. And this street is very noisy. I will never come back again.

The hotel is very nice but isn't a safe place. After 10pm will advice you all to stay at the room. Will not encourage to hang at lobby after 10pm. The staff there can't understand English at all. Won't advice girls to go out alone. I had a bad experience that 4 strangers followed us up to our rooms.

We stayed at the Grand Mega for 6 nights, 22 March 2014, till 28th. We were in a large group. Everyone had the best stay and staff were always helpful. Breakfast pretty average, but ok. Rooms very clean and the pool with the swim bar was excellent. The grand mega is on a busy 6 lane highway, which can be very dangerous, but the security will help you across the road to the shopping centre if you ask. A bit to walk to Kuta or legian but $3.00 AU by taxi is all it cost. A great stay for a short trip like ours 6 nights, I wouldn't recommend the spa and massage, I wasn't impressed for the money. But all up everything was ok.

We got an "Early bird special" with "60% discount". Because of this lower rate I am certain we were given one of the more run down rooms. There were brown stains all over the roof, we had termites in all of the corners and the flooring was all ripped. The room smelled awful, the toilet would not flush properly and it took 10-15 minutes before hot water came out of the shower (Which had awful water pressure too! ). Our room was at the front of the hotel, facing the main road. But could not see anything through the concrete and metal "decoration" on the front of the hotel — which wasn't a huge issue, but more annoyed that there was no soundproofing and the glass did not even completely seal up, there was a gap around one part of the glass, letting in a lot of noise and fumes. Also late one evening there was a worker out there fumigating, all the fumes came into our room through this gap, luckily my asthmatic husband had his inhaler on hand. They also "fumigated" the pool, lobby and restaurant area one afternoon, while a crowd was trying to enjoy the pool, which resulted in thick, black, rancid smelling smoke going absolutely everywhere. Not very thoughtful. I will never stay here again. Certainly does not deserve even a 4* rating. The only thing I liked was the nice deep bath with the tv, and the security guards were the most friendly and courteous out of all of the staff.

We recently stayed at Grand Mega and had such a wonderful holiday. The resort exceeded our wildest expectations. The staff were so friendly and even remembered our names after only a day or so. Our room was spectacular, especially the designer bathroom with the TV. The pool area was fantastic and we made good use of it. The breakfast was amazing, so much to choose from and endless coffee refills. The shuttle to Kuta was useful and also the helpful security guard who stopped the traffic for us to get over the busy road to the Galleria Mall. We would definitely stay again when we return to Bali.
