Our trip to Chennai and Pondy was jinxed right from the beginning…. But in all the mess we found solace in Pondicherry Executive Inn. Stayed there for 4 nights in the deluxe executive room and it was a complete delight….
Quickly starting off with the reviews: Location: This quaint beauty stands bang in the middle of White Town with fabulous accessibility to every nearby sightseeing spot. The promenade is literally 5 mins away from the hotel. Rooms: Impeccable! Soft Beds, …Even softer Duvets, Neat and Clean, well maintained, decently decorated. Clean washrooms with bath tubs, shower knobs and clean towels. Ac’s in both rooms worked brilliantly and TV has Dish Connections. Room Service: Extremely prompt. Each morning bang at 10.30 am the staff would come in and enquire if we would like to get our room cleaned and drop off a complimentary bottle of water. Food: Our room included buffet breakfast meals, which were very good based on south indian food standards. Do not miss the sevai and Medu Wada at PEI. Restaurant Manager was really nice.
For 2500, this hotel is a complete VFM!
This lovely hotel is run by an efficient set of staff that is impressive in their work and diligent. Beena, the owner is the sweetest; guiding us constantly on how and where to go. Due to the floods we were stuck pretty bad in Pondy and to our surprise when the whole world was flooding, PEI had no sign of floods, except of course the underground restaurant, which did not dampen their food quality or taste.
We had a lovely stay and in all the flooding mess, Pondicherry Executive Inn is the only pleasant experience of Pondy. Thank you guys :D.
