Good location very close to beach. Small rooms but comfortable. The food we order was disappointing but free breakfast was nice. There is no car parking we have to park our car on road.

Had a good experience. One thing to notice is there is no parking space especially for cars. Else its quite a budget hotel to crash which is near to rock beach.

Worst place ever. I had booked the room for 2 days considering the overall reviews and location. But the staff are worst people to deal with. Even after calling multiple times from room they will not get back and will not entertain you at all. At the end you as a customer need to adjust. I would recommend for other options and consider this as last one if in case not rooms are available in entire Pondicherry.

Hotel has lack of amnaetise like electric cattle, tea. But nice receptionist and staffs. Situated at very nice and pleasnt area. And they searve limited breakfast (which means no buffet).

Beautiful property! Small menu but very specialized. They serve alcohol only on the weekends during off season. They have 6 rooms. With a swimming pool on the first floor. Ranges from 12, 000-14, 000 rs a night. A must visit for couples. Very romantic.

Pros: Ambience was quite nice, service staff were very courteous, a few dishes like the cold soup and olive dip were good. Cons: Slow kitchen service, Food — Mediocre. For instance, spaghetti was served with what tasted like bottled sauce, one of the expensive appetizers had such little quantity for a very average tasting dish, the first salad on the menu, that mentioned roquette, did not have any in it and the nuts in it were basically cashew nuts. Overall came out of the restaurant disappointed.

We stayed in family suite. Bedroom — 3 double bed, can accommodate 6 adults and 3 kids. Almirah was there. Table and chairs were there. Tv — with good cable connection was available, where we we're watching FIFA. Extra room — One extra room was there just before bathroom. Bathroom — bath tub inbuilt was provided but not at all clean. Yeah but bucket and other thing was clean. Toiletries were provided. The bathroom was big enough. Staff was friendly, and kind We checked-in at 5:30pm sat. And checked out at 7:30pm Sunday. Price was affordable. Best thing about this hotel was the bluefin restaurant on the ground floor. Where we ate food all 4 times. See my review for the restaurant on it's page.

Beautiful place! Had a lovely experience. Staff were very professional and helpful, even organized a trip to Auroville for us. The food was amazing! Highly recommend a visit to La Villa.

Amazing French cuisine food at the restaurant. The menu might be slightly limited, but there's surely something for every taste bud to relish — Orange flavored chicken stew being one of the favorites.

Big rooms with fridge n dining inside room with all facility… Location is good… Only problem is no lift… Food service I don't know as I didn't had anything…

It's in the heritage town in a peaceful environment surrounded by temples, ashram, beach, etc. Service is good. No lift is a handicap!

Loved this place. It's just five minutes walk away from Rock Beach and the Market which is situated in MG Road. Their Restaurant serves tasty food which is reasonably priced. They provide a complementary breakfast. There's unlimited high speed internet Wi-Fi access for each room. A lift would make it a perfect stay for elders who can't climb stairs. Railway station and bus station is accessible from Raj inn in just 5 to 10 minutes. The beautiful Cathedral of Mother Mary at a walkable distance of 5 minutes.

Had a great time with my family. Food is really great and worth it. The place is clean and its near to the beach. The room service is also not bad.

We stumbled upon this place by chance. Love the ambience here and the food is exceptional. Their spinach salad with pesto, the grilled tofu, Thai noodles salad… Left us licking our fingers and we ended up having 3 consecutive meals here. The service was excellent too and they are helpful too. A must eat place if you visit pondicherry.

Went for dinner, the meal was great, sat on the verandah under the ceiling fans. Service was attentive and friendly. The vegetable coconut curry in a coconut wasn't highly spiced so suggest you ask for this if you order. Also, the Thai style noodle salad was more style over substance, again a little thin on flavour.

It was very good for authentic french food but the food quantity is sufficient only for one person. The atmosphere was quiet and beautiful.

We went there for dessert on a Saturday evening. Seemed like a pleasant setting in an elegant house. The tea and dessert (mango mousse) took about 30 minutes to come out. The presentation was quite charming and both the tea and dessert were good. We asked for the bill. About fifteen minutes later, we had to remind them that we had asked for the bill already. The service is so slow that it is actually annoying. Great place for those who want to order one small item and spend hours there looking into each other's eyes!

This is a decent OYO room option. It is pricey for the type of room they offer. The rooms are not that big but they have all the basic amenities that they advertise. The location is very near to the Aurobindo Ashram, so this is a huge plus. The markets and the beach are also within the vicinity.

One of the best place to stay, rooms are neat and clean. Good with Air conditioning. Little tough with car parking, taste of the food is good. Very close to the pondy beach.

Visited La Villa for lunch. Had a wonderful lunch. The Prawn Coconut curry was awesome and the Veg Ratatoille was great. The ambience is quite good and the table cloth freshly washed.

It's near to manapulavinagar temple. Rooms maintained well. This hotel not have car parking but they are helping to park roadside. Food was very good. We had complimentary buffet breakfast.

It is a beautiful and green place and if you need a quiet time then best to go for lunches. The service was polite and nice. Food was also up to par from what I have previously heard. One thing going against is the price. I do think it was a little pricey compared to the rest.

Location was near Rock Beach, Aurobindo Ashram. Very close to to the main bazaar. It was very convenient to find the location. Room had all the amenities, there was no problem at all. Service was good. Nice place for staying overnight.

Decent Inn, staff is friendly. They have two-bed as well as four-bed rooms. The food in the restaurant is good. The reception will help you organise sightseeing tours around as well as outside Pondicherry. Well located also.

Located in a silent place. Just 10mins walk from gandhi beach. The rooms are very small n clean with 24hrs hot water. It has an attached restaurant in the ground floor which provides complimentary breakfast. The food tastes really good but is slightly expensive… try fish n chips. Overall a good place to be in.

La Villa is an amazing place. The ambience inside is so soothing that you might not leave the place until you really have too. We went to eat lunch and it was so exquisite in taste that I had in Pondicherry.

Visit here only if you want to get a feeling of villa. Food is below average and bland. I just liked the pina conata among others, that too not because of the taste but the texture. I ordered meatballs and grilled fish as per the recommendations but they were too chewy, not properly seasoned; I believe they were frozen and not fresh which on complaining to staff, they said its supposed to be like that. One more disturbing thing was they charge service charges : (

Rooms are suffocating. There is a huge communication gap within staffs, after even paying for a water bottle, they again asked us to pay for the same at the time of check-out, because the staff who had taken the money for the water bottle did not entered data in their system. It was a big insult for us, as all the staffs in that shift surrounded us for Rs 25/ — water bottle, which we had already paid earlier.

One of the most beautiful hotels hidden in the lanes of French food! A 100 year old house converted to a hotel. Amazing food and hospitality.

Rooms which are displayed at the time of booking, those were not given. Room is hardly 40 sq ft. When contacted manager regarding the same, he said riom size is not mentioned in Oyo site. Pathetic rooms, small rooms, water coming from top through walls, womb lightings, passage was dirty everytime. Break fast also not very good, same brakefast given all 3 daya. Not worth of money. Room we book was Rs 1650 per day in advance booking and current booking hotel manager giving to walk ins was Rs 1250.

Though a limited menu, the taste, classiness & freshness of the food has to be one of the best in pondicherry. Beautiful natiral ambience.

Also met a Robert J who handles a lot of things at the hotel, was very kind and generous, helpful snd friendly. We were very well treated, the food is good. I liked the food but service was not good. The don't have man power, it was only one person serving us. I had ordered yellow prawn curry which I did not like, coz I have had better yellow curry before. Indian food is fine, but other cuisines won't appeal much.

Best ambience giving a quintessential french feel… The green vines along the array figurines and claasy cane chairs give it a very eclectic feel. The food is outstanding, ordered the grilled tofu and the burnt barbecue flavor was amazing, the grilled veggies were a delight. A tad overpriced, but well worth. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent, comfortable, and clean rooms! Sheets were clean and mattresses were the most comfortable we had so far in India. Felt almost like good memory foam. Bathroom was also clean and quite large. Hot water was properly hot and water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was decent, but not the best. But we were looking for a good night's sleep, and this was the best I'd had in the month we've been in India.

The food was delicious, the best place for dinner in Pondicherry. Celebrated our anniversary there and would surely go back. The calamari fettuccine was divine.

It is a dream like place to have a nice quiet dinner :) I loved that the chef customised my coconut curry for me and I had the most divine curry and flavoured rice I've ever eaten!

Keep your expectations low! Its a budget place to stay at, more of a back-pack kind of stay but with added services. The location of the hotel is great situated among the middle of the city it cuts your travel time to various sight seeing places. The place does not have parking, you can park on road and as a request stay away from their food (just not worth it). With the kind of money they charge you can't complain, a decent place for a night to spend if you wanna roam and see the city. Ps: not a family destination.

They don't have lift, room are fine, old Almirah plywood was broken, service is slow, not worth money, costly compare to rooms, family room are big but bath tub was not working and Wi-Fi speed is 100 KBPS.

I would really rate them as A+. The management was kind o even offer their rooms before our check-in time. Even we left our luggage at their Hotel even after checked-out time but they never questioned, that was really kind of them. Cleanliness was Service was too good and Breakfast was more of Brunch type and delicious one. So it was great experience over there.

One of the Best Economy hotels in Puducherry. Being located at the center part of the town, it proves really convinent to roam around on foot to the market place and the French Colony, Heritage Town, White Town and the Goubert Avenue. The place is very well maintained and We found it to be kept very clean. Staff is very friendly and the Room Service is very prompt. A place that I'll definitely visit again.
