This is a best place when you are in a group and want everything according to your preference. The bungalow is beautiful and has best areas where you can sit with your loved ones and enjoy a cosy and cheerful chit chat. The staff is very courteous. Would love to go back to this place again.

Overall, it was a nice stay. Th decor is exquisite and carries a delectable aesthetic sense. Location wise, it is 'The place to stay in'. The Beach runs on the next parallel street of La Closerie. Also, it is located right amidst French Colony and near the significant monuments of Pondicherry. Breakfast was fine with scope of improvement on the spread. Our room was a bit small though and little overpriced given the tariff. There is scope to beautify and improve the room amenities alike the extremely classy lounge of La Closerie. However, the Management was pleasant to talk to and was there to hear our concern. Overall, we were happy staying there. Points to take care: a) Rooms have been designed catering to French/European taste. In our room, there was no door between bedroom and washroom. Only a curtain of sheer cotton separates the two. b) There is no water jet in the toilet. (Only Toilet Paper is available). c) No steam iron. Overall, our stay was memorable. Thanks for the memories.

Lovely place. Nice super rooms. Worth for money. It's neat beach that's biggest advantage. Nearby temples are there.

Lovely place to visit. It's located in the French quarter and has a lovely French architecture. The staff is friendly and always there to help you. You can take a walk on the beach since it's 2mins away from it.

The place looks amazing. But dont judge a book by its cover! The bathrooms here are designed only for foreigners with only tissue papers. The breakfast is pretty limited for a breakfast person like me. But I must agree their masala omelettes are to die for. Kudos to the lady chefs. There is no care taker or anyone who can be contacted at times. The reception is empty in the afternoons and evenings. The person who comes at night doesn seem to really know anything. The lights in room wasnt working. Wasnt worth the money! Expected more or rather the basic.

Charming and quaint villa in the middle of White Town, and very close to the beach. Do not expect service like the big hotel chains, this is more of a laid back place, to make you feel like you are in your own holiday home. Relax with a book, some music or a board game with your loved ones. Stay here if you want to live like a local in the French part of the town, tourists should look elsewhere.

An amazing place to live in! The surrounding and the antics inside the house give another feel to the place! Beautiful environment. Very convenient from few places to roam around in Pondy. Highly recommended.

Very good ambient. Really good management. Very good looking guest house. Days spent in luxury. But There were few disappointing thing: No Tv in room No Room service No 24hr service.

Perfect place for relaxation getaway, very cosy and beautifully designed place. Nearby to rock beach, and every cafes and restaurants, it is located almost in the centre of white town. Hospitality by the staff and owner is very good. Worth a stay.

Had a Great Stay! This hotel has a great blend of modern and vintage style. Each corner of the hotel has been designed with love and care. They lave a lovely pool to cool off in hot days. The location of the hotel is excellent a few minutes stroll bringing you to the Promenande beach. Staffs are friendly and helpful, specially Elvis, the manager deserve a word of praise. He will make you feel nice with his efficient team.

They serve the same breakfast every day, with very minimal options. No health faucet in bathrooms. Elvis the so called manager not at all co-operative. The place looks beautiful.

Simply loved the architecture. Everything about the design was unique and picturesque. Friendly staff and good breakfast…
However it would be an exceptionally wonderful place if they take a little extra effort when in comes to maintenance.

La Closerie is one of the best properties which has been uniquely designed to stay in Pondicherry. The architecture, the vintage wooden doors, a beautiful open garden and a swimming pool is something that's very appealing about the property. It takes only 1 min from La Closerie to the beach (The Promenade). The staff is very professional, disciplined and friendly which you will notice the moment you check in to La Closerie. A very special place to stay. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Annie the owner made us feel so welcome. This was more like a top end homestay than a hotel.

Decent guest house with amazing home like environment. Rooms are great. Its a place if u wanna just spend time without being bothered. There aren't TV in the rooms. But lots of books lying around to explore. Just be lazy and enjoy.

Stayed here for two days. There was an initial confusion about my reservation, but after that was sorted out we settled into room 7. The property is beautiful is carefully decorated. Staff is friendly.

Its a peaceful place with beautiful decor and wonderful hosts. Once you check in, the place is pretty much open to you. It's like being a beautiful home! You get breakfast complimentary and they serve good croissant. It also has the best location being just a street away from the Promenade. Go here if you want to have a relaxing weekend.
