The owners personally and passionately built and run this place. They have created individual rooms with all modern amenities, free Wi-Fi, in room fridge, clean and comfy bed with daily house keeping. The food is amazing. It me a combination of local cuisine and popular Indian dishes. The owners personally attend to guests, get to know them personally and do what is takes to make the guests feel at home.
I guess this is what homestay is suppose to be. We would very highly recommend this place.

The best home stay I have ever been to. The hosts vinay and shilpa are very friendly. The food there is delicious. For the rooms I have only one word — Wow. So well maintained. There is a big speaker where you can connect your own phone and listen to music. It is far from the the noise of the city. So calm. I loved the place. I would recommend everyone to go here.

Amazing resort! Poised between the hospitality and facility which made us love the place. The ubiquitous nature surrounding just make it a perfect vacation gateway. There is no difference between the pictures displayed on the website and the reality. Shilpa (owner) will definitely make an impression by her geniality as well as her super delicious desserts. I love to visit this place again.

If there was a rating higher than 5 star, I would give it. Excellent rooms, excellent food. The owners are present at all times and take special care of all requirements. I loved the local dishes and the massive Sony outdoor speaker system and dance floor. Fantastic place. Will visit again.

My family and I visited Riyavar homestay. We were about 16 of us and we truly enjoyed every moment there. Another holiday for the soul A most amazing holiday at a most amazing holiday home. One of those rare holidays where nothing was wrong. Brilliant accommodation (most homely) Brilliant hospitality by Mr and Mrs. Viney smiling, hardworking, super humble, calm, helpful, worldly wise, conversationalist and ever ready to serve Brilliant cook. By extension therefore superb food. Meal after meal and to add on Mrs Viney's deserts are just mouth watering Comfortable beds, nice cozy and relaxed sitting areas around the house. A most amazing Gazebo where the food gets served. Every night we had a lovely bonfire and drinks served near the dance floor where we just enjoyed ourselves with foot tapping numbers played by a mini dj I would call… The lovely river tour. And most importantly a silent, calm and refreshing homestay We just couldn't leave this place. The mind and soul wanted more of this solance Mr and Mrs. Viney you do run a fantastic home stay! Wish you the very best and we will soon be back.

It's been a home away from home. Atmost care taken by the hosts. Food is made in accordance with the comfort of each set of guests who stay. The view is very scenic, soothing and away from all the chaos in the city :) It's quite a good getaway for both with family and friends. Rooms are quite spacious and a lot of common space in front for sports and music system for dancing. Their special Cauvery river visit is worth it!

The stay was very pleasant. Very good ambience and good service. Very nice breakfast but only starters were a little salty. But overall neat rooms and very friendly staff.

Me and husband had a splendid stay at Riyavar homestay owned by Mr and Mrs Viney, truly amazing, down to earth couple with welcoming gesture all throughout our stay, they made our stay extremely comfortable right from booking until departure, in fact 'Home away from home'. The rooms were not less than a 5* set up, neat and tidy with great amenities and planned interior. Great ambiance. In addition, Mrs Viney ensured that all cuisines served were delicious and gave us an opportunity to explore local dishes as well, desserts added it's sweetness and charm when it was made and served by Mrs Viney herself. No words can express the nite spend around Camp fire with couple of beer, naati style gandhari marinated chicken lollipop and yummy pork with some light music. Coorg special hot hot 'Kadumbuttu with sambar simply stole my heart miles away. All staffs were friendly and ready to serve any time. My special gratitude to the Chechi who made pappadam in coconut oil. Many more things remained unexplored, looking forward for yet another long stay at Coorg @ Rivayar home stay. Thanks to Rivayar for giving us heart warming hospitality in Coorg that in turn helped us to carry beautiful memories back home. Kudos.

The way they received us was really nice. They made us to feel so comfortable. The rooms were really clean. We found a real peace here. Camp fire, estate visit, dance floor we had soo much of fun. Its really a calm place and very good place to relax. They prepared food with good quality and tasty. It was sooo yummy. Workers are very friendly and they really helped us. I have never seen such hospitality anywhere. Again I wanna visit with my friends because its very safe place to stay for girls.

Stayed @Riyavar duing good friday long weekend. Its actually a luxury homestay as the name says. The rooms are quite luxurious with some classy wooden finish. The owners make you feel special by personally taking care of each and every small need of guests. The food has great variety and taste, specially the non veg spread was impressive. They arranged Bonfire and coffee estate trip for my family and introduced me to some really exotic homemade wines. Overall a great place to stay and unwind in Coorg. If you are looking for an affordable, good quality and luxurious stay, Riyavar in Coorg will excite you. Looking forward to visiting there soon again.

Beautiful rooms and great food. We had a great time here. Do try the fried pork dish and tandoori chicken they are delicious.
