The best resort that one could think of. Wonderful experience. Close to nature, nature at its best Good food. Very friendly and cooperative staff. Lovely ambience. Great experience all in all. The resort in itself is a scenic beauty, hills, waterfall, trees and plantations. Important: — reach before 6 advisable not mandatory. Landmark to be kept on mind — a left downward lane to be taken from 2 km landmark sign which is right opposite to a (temple-like) gate. Plan to visit in last week of May or 1st week of June. Alternatively plan from September onwards which is a non monsoon season. I feel rejuvenated after the visit. It was just the beginning of monsoon and couldn't have expected from the resort or nature…

The best! Three hills resort is located in a lush green, surrounded by hills. There is a small water fall near by (500mts) but please note there will be lots of leaches.

Beautiful property and blessed by Nature! We experienced excellent stay and staff is very care taking, supportive, polite. Pollution free world and take you close to the nature. Delink and detoxificate yourself. I must thank the owner, staff for their serveices. Rates are very resonareas!

Serene, Tranquil and Picturesque are the 3 words that come to one's mind the moment you are at the resort. Be prepared to have no network at the resort. The drive to the resort is bit of an adventure and about 19 km from Medikeri town. We have to drive about 9 km on the Mangalore road and take a left to enter the ghat section. Thankfully there is a tar road all the way to resort but very narrow… We went by our Nano and but there were others who came on XUV 500 (just to give you a range on the cars that you can travel on) … At the resort they provide a small trek and visit to a stream with small waterfall. Breakfast was complimentary for us and the food (lunch and Dinner) is to be ordered in advance. 3 guys from North East to manage were present at the actual resort and are extremely hospitable… Very eager to help you always… Siba was one the guys name.

Loved the place. The staff is very helpful and location is great. Please avoid driving to this place after 5 pm. Very difficult to drive in dark. The place is very quite and best way to unplug. There is a small creek and couple of ponds to visit in daytime. They have around 5 tents and 3 cottages. With a kitchen. You need to order food in advance, so that kitchen can prepare. The quality and quantity of food is good. Tents and cottages both are very comfortable. The night security is managed by big dogs. There is a nice trail in the property. Beware of the leeches. You can easily spend 1-2 days in the property to relax and spend time with friends/family.

The place is the best place, by far, the best place to visit, stay and enjoy some quality time with your family. The food here is amazing. The staff here are unbelievably good and so is the good. My place to go for a holiday, away from the urban life.

Superb… Place. Loved it… One suggestion is staff needed little bit more co ordination among the team. Apart from that everything was superb and amazing.

Food staff n dogs were excellent especially manager shiva n caretaker deepak bohra were very hospitable.

If you want to stay away from all the network zones and go green I can assure you that this is the place! They have got amazing tents and cottages along with a wide view of nature Infront! The Belgium shepherds over there are wow! So well disciplined and trained! Our caretaker Siva did his job very well. The only snag was food which is truly disappointing : ( We had got a chance for a small trekking which ends to a mini waterfall. Overall cutting off the food " Three hills is prodigious :) "

Had a very wonderful experience which I never had before. I don't have words to explain the beauty of nature. About the spent there and so on. Best place for a nature enthusiast. Do visit place for all people who is handling corporate life. Very friendly staffs. Homely food. Trekking and waterfall experience. Deluxe cottage stay was most Epic! Damn sure that I will backpack soon there itself. I loved those days which I didn't touch my phone for calling. That much lovable and safe place for all explorers. Difficult road often leads to beautiful destination. That I should say about it. Thankyou so much team. Specially the staffs, Cook and Belgium shepherds who made it an awesome experience. Everyone should visit 3hills for sure. A Nature enthusiast and 3hills are deadly combination. Thankyou.

Pros: 3hills has a nice property and warm, helpful staff Cons: property is far from everything and a rickshaw cost 500 inr each way Once you have reached 3 hills, you have no immediate access to any restaurants. They provide food but the options are limited and the food wuslitu is not great Expensive rooms, luxury hotel rates but the place is being run like a low cost property — coffee mugs are cracked and we had to eat from plastic plates Check in is really late — 2pm so not welcoming for guests arriving by night buses I would not visit again.

A nice resort nestled between three hills, hence the name. The ride was good, the mobile reception was bad, which is a good thing when you are looking to unwind, the wood villas look nice, couldn't get them as they were booked out in advance. But the weather and setting was just brilliant, chill out and sit at the water fall, a small one, but nice enough to soothe your nerves on a much needed break from routine.

Great place. Away from all the noise of the city. Delicious food. Pocket friendly. Two ponds and a small waterfall available in the premises to enjoy. Three dogs and the staffs are helpful and always at your service. No tower avaiable and its a good 10kms away from the main roads. So if you are looking for some quite time and dont mind travelling a bit far this is the place to be.

The location is phenomenal, possibly the best you can get in Madikeri. The property has rooms, log cabins and tent accommodations to choose from. The food is simple and homely, the staff is friendly and courteous. The area in which the property is located doesn't have phone/internet coverage so it is an ideal venue for one to have a digital detox. Bonus, if you love dogs, the property has three very cute, very obedient Belgian Shepherds.

Three hills The place is good … Well located… rich feel and ambiance… It is greenery everywhere with a natural stream and a waterfalls… The pond with gooses, the green fields and the forest on the opposite side of the tent can rejuvenate your body and soul. We stayed in their luxury tent. It is furnished with white linen and wooden textured tiles and royaloak furniture. It has a attached bathroom. It is very comfortable to stay here and if you want more chillness you can keep the doors and windows open… It will definitely make you cuddle up inside the thick blanket they provide. If you can plan a morning trekking. It is really good. But we missed it. The chef who is here definitely know what to cook and how to cook. He is a master of his cusines. Let him make a coffee or pepper chicken or let it be egg chilly or a phulka. He does it in an authentic way… The food is served and the house keeping is maintained under the supervision of the manager Rajesh… His team is so good that he don't have to monitor them. They own their responsibilities and do their best to make your stay comfortable. This place is owned by a bangalore based family and they pay visit atleast one in a fortnight to understand the issues faced and for further development of the place. But, there are certain things they have to look upon to make our stay special. Cons: If you feel like you are under their surveillance, please do not get surprised; they consider you guys like kids.

The place is 21 km from Madikeri down a narrow road off the Mangalore highway. It's very green and quiet, without any wi fi or phone signal. There are a couple of ponds and a stream which becomes a little waterfall further into the property. You can walk around, gaze at the ducks in the pond, trek up the three hills which make up the 65-acre property. You can also walk around the coffee plantations next to the bungalow. I am deducting one star for niggling issues like no curd over 3 days, the almirah mirror fell on our suitcases while we were having breakfast, no written menu but only verbal, broken safe in the cottage, septic tank smell at night, a bulb which kept flickering at 1 am in the night even after we had switched off the lights. Also, noticed staff members emerging from unoccupied tents at all hours. May be they sit there, sleep there, no idea but a bit unprofessional in that sense. The place is set amidst great natural beauty but it requires some love from the owners to make it an exhilarating experience for travellers.

The Tents are brand new as of November 2017. Felt comfortable in the tents rather than the Cottages. Cottages had our natural visitors — insects and snails, a lot of them.

The resort was really wonderful… Though the place is difficult to reach from the city, one could experience the jungle life… Special mention to shivu who gave us excellent hospitality…

Pros. Its far from noise and pollution, inside Forest, Wooden houses, has a pond with ducks and gooses, has a mini waterfall (not exactly a waterfall) but for sure you can have fun in private, very good food, surrounded by trees and plants, very well lit at night. Camp fire was provided. Friendly staff. Cons. No network so no credit or debit cards. Carry cash with you. If you come from thalakaveri side or from Kannur side, the road is pathetic. Its worse than pathetic. Suggested for a group of people because it's a bit scary at night when all that you can hear is cricket sounds and frogs but the purpose of staying away from city and noise, it is completely satisfactory. Additional person accommodation was charged high but no extra mattress provided instead the sofa was converted to bed. A bit unsatisfied on this. Reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. In general, if you are planning for some calm, peace of mind type of stay away from city, pollution and noises and if you are in a group or at least like 2 families, this is the best place. I loved the stay here.

The location is awesome. There are two types of rooms the premium independent ones are called cottages (3 nos) made from wood and looks elegant. The standard rooms are two in number and are good too, but are sharing the dining area and the privacy is limited. There is a stream nearby and places to take a walk too. The place is 10 Km away from the high way and 20 km away from Madikeri. If you are not planning to have in house food, be prepared to travel a lot. The last 10km takes 40mins to 1hr to drive. I loved the location — far away from any disturbance, far away from civilization. Very calm and peaceful.

Excellent place, nice ambience, excellent climate. Has excellent scenery, full of trees, a stream flowing within the campus. Rooms are great, luxuries facilities, great views. Its worth more than we pay.

It was a different experience. The home stay was good. Pretty good interior and surroundings. The staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the stay with my family. You can just relax from the city life as it is located in a remote place. The travel from main road to three hills was an adventure. There is no Mobile Network Coverage. You will be cut off from outside world.

The cottages are very nice, romantic, brilliant service and helpful staff. The rooms smelt damp but, given its a wooden cottage, to be expected. There were 3 cabins near a small pond with a walkway and ducks around it.

Very good location. Greenary and located in remote place. The staff and food was awesome. We went on weekdays, so all the attention was paid to us. Worth for the price paid.

Hard to drive to reach the resort. But worth the drive.

Nice and cozy place, utterly romantic during monsoons. Went with friends in June, it was raining almost all the time, enjoyable if you love monsoons and need a poetic break. They have both luxury rooms and cottages, we took the cottages since it looked nice in photos. The cottages are exactly as seen in their page, total of 3 cottages with max 3 people per cottage. For 3rd person they convert the sofa into a bed, which is more comfortable than you would expect. Cottage rooms are wooden walled and dimly lit, perfect for lazy nights. A TV unit was provided with satellite box which we didn't even get time to turn on. There is no mobile range anywhere except for BSNL connections, so they provide walkie talkies for communication (different channels for talking to them and across different cottages/rooms) The attached bathroom is tiled and showers are fitted. Hot water comes in the morning for an hour or so, better to ask and confirm with the caretakers. The whole place is in the middle of a estate and they have a stream and a small waterfall running through, at walkable distance from the accommodation. Leeches present in that path during wet seasons so necessary precautions recommended. The caretakers are very responsible and friendly, they take food/tea orders via walkie and inform once food is ready.

I had a pleasant stay here. Its very quite, surrounded by forest, good quality huts. The food was really good and the staff showed proper hospitality. My actual plan was to stay here and cover the Madikeri tourist places. But the tranquility I found at this place made me just, spend the whole day there, just lazy strolling through the woods and around the lake in front of the huts. The negatives I can think of are, trying to reach this place might be a little tricky as its little far away from Madikeri and few kilometers into the forest. No AC, Phone coverage is sketchy and no Wi-Fi. Having said that I would love to stay at this place again. for Nature, Food and Hospitality.

We went for a day trip with family. The experience is exceptional, the staff helped us to get the direction and followed up till we reached safely. The property has 3 cottages which are well designed and spacious. The food offered was delicious. We were taken to estate visit which was an easy track where you find a small waterfall too. The owner was very humble and helpful.
