Cool place, nice kitchen, water smell sulfur but that's common in Iceland.

Sober place with small sleeping rooms. Also a bit noisy and I would call the place really cozy. But all the facilities are there and they do work properly. Breakfast is good.

Great location and interior in an idyllic town with beautiful nature all around, and only an hour or two from Reykjavik: ideal to see the countryside on a short visit to Iceland.

One of the best places I stayed at in Iceland! Beats many more expensive places. We stayed in a double room with private bathroom, room was spacious, warm and clean. Kitchen is large and fully equipped, coffee or tea is free all day for the guests and there's a nice and cosy TV room. I would stay here again.

Definitely the best place I've stayed in so far in Iceland (my 4th night here). The room is basic and simple, but it's warm, clean, and comfy, and the bathroom is spacious and placed near to the rooms. What stand out are the common areas — — well-stocked and clean kitchens spread in several places, several sofa and hang out areas, and bright well-lit main dining room. The hostel also provides complimentary coffee and tea — — the coffee machine makes proper cappuccino, loving it!

Very comfortable hostel despite its run down exterior. The lounge and kitchen area were nice to relax in and the dorms were what you would expect. I couldn't seem to find any lockers and the showers were a bit of a let down but this is a low budget place to stay so it helped save a few dollars. Oh and the staff are super friendly and helpful!

Quietly, the furniture is outdated.

Nice rooms and a good location.

We stayed here after high winds in the peninsula kept us from camping. The owner was incredibly friendly and the place was spacious and clean. There were two kitchens and the beds were comfortable. Nice common areas too! We paid $55 each and had a room to ourselves. Lots of hiking around the area too. Highly recommended.

Very wet. No stability in the temperature of the water in the shower. Otherwise it's good. Several kitchens and showers.

Good location, good Wi-Fi, secure, quiet, and good kitchen.

It stinks everywhere to rotten eggs or that it is not a very musty smell. Also the towels are the size which is made for a baby, and then you have payed extra for that. It is very unfortunate that there is no breakfast in the morning, but you have to prepare it yourself. It does not generally looks clean out here.

No one was here to welcome us, someone came 1h in the evening just to cash in the bookings. No breakfast was available in the morning. Even the cold water has a terrible taste. The showers kept switching between hot and cold. And half our food got stolen. I would strongly advise to find another place to stay for the night.

There wasn't enough washroom for 8 people on the upper floor let alone the whole hostel. There was also no where to hang clothes to dry or towel after a shower that didn't drip on someones bed.
