Our host, Jon, was very helpful when we checked in. The house is very pretty with spacious rooms. Perfect for a large family. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was very large with lots of space to work. Bathroom on the second floor was very modern and comfortable to use. I absolutely loved the neighborhood. Very easy walk to the harbor, city center, as well as restaurants and bars. If you need a place to stay in Reykjavik, this is a superb place to stay.
I really wish I could give at least one more star. It is a nice place in a wonderful location and has a great kitchen. I wish the kitchen knives were a bit sharper. The big thing that knocks down a star and a half is that we got locked out of the house the evening before we were to have an early morning departure. It was stressful waiting for the locksmith and losing some sleep because we needed to pack.

My wife and I honeymooned to Iceland (2018). We opted for an apartment as it was cheaper than the hotels. At first I thought this place was a bit sketchy but the neighborhood is great. There are actually embassies on the block. The only downside is that it was warmer than usual and without AC things felt a bit damp in the evening. We used the kitchen to make breakfast every morning. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
