Very comfortable beds, with black-out curtains that work quite well. Nice breakfast is included, and the self check-in works pretty well: just make sure that you can check your email 1week prior to your stay, in order to receive the key codes.

Very impressed with this hotel. A jewel in the midst of countryside views of Iceland. Great room with black out shades, nice breakfast and lobby area, private bathroom. Easy check in and out.

Initially the reviews scared us, but we're happy to say the hotel was absolutely fine and clean. In fact, it certainly beats most other hotels on the Ring road.

I have no idea how this place has 3 stars. It was like a truck stop of a hotel from the 70s. Beatles in my bathroom, dirty gross furniture, tattered towels. It barely beats camping, only because there was hot water. It should be 50 a night tops.

Not much do to in this part of the island, so we were hoping to speak with someone at the hotel for recommendations on what to see. However, the self check in makes it feel like even more of a ghost town. Water in the shower was changing from hot to cold. Beds were okay and breakfast was fine. Probably not the best place to stay in the north west.

Small town very quiet. Staff is discreet and welcoming. Room functional and clean. Convenient Parking. Breakfast plentiful and varied.

Excellent quality-price ratio. Convenient mode of the self-service check-in. Rooms clean and comfortable. Very beautiful the structure aesthetically pleasing and located in a great location for those of us who came from the fjords and headed towards Akureyri. The only thing to improve the variety of the breakfast and presence of the Wi-Fi in the room.

We spent 2 nights in this Hotel, the rooms are quite nice, but nothing special. In this hotel there's no reception, and that created quite a problems at the arrival, we couldn't find the room (It was in another building).

The Hotel has a good price — performance ratio. Unfortunately, no vegan options at Breakfast, also the reception is not occupied, at least in the low season (self check in)

Rooms are big and everybody got their own bathroom but the breakfast is not icelandic standard (no Marmelade, one type of bread, etc)

It's basically all you need for a good night stay. If you're not an idiot you can figure out the self ceck-in. Just open the lock with the e-mail code you received. It's very cheap so don't expect 5star quality. However During the night our power did fail hence the 3star rating.

Decent hotel, all its bad reviews can be fixed with permanent signs (not just print out ones) clearly stating each buildings room numbers and a permanent sign with the self check-in process. People get quickly frustrated with autonomy, I'm sure management has to answer the same questions every single day. Good breakfast.

DON'T GO HERE! When you arrive your room is in danger of beeing occupied by somebody else, since the codes for obtaining the room key never changes. The management staff is impossible to contact, even from the telephone in reception. When we arrived our room was occupied by someone with a reservation fro the day before. Our day plans was ruined, we drove many miles just to wait 1, 5 hours (the cleaning staff had to solve it out) for another room — this could be solved I 5 minuttes. I have since tried to contact the management bu so far without luck.

Fantastic hotel. Great Wi-Fi. Tasty breakfast. The self check-in process is pretty straightforward. If you use your brain correctly everything will be just fine.

Such a strange place in the middle of nowhere with a self check-in process that is somewhat disconcerting. The Wi-Fi is terrible here unless you're in the common areas and even then it's somewhat questionable. Breakfast was minimal and cooked and served by a man and woman that sort of grunted in my general direction but didn't really acknowledge my presence. Strange indeed.

We booked our room around 8:45 PM. There is a self check in process. The hotel didn't send instructions and wouldn't answer phone calls. I would not recommend choosing this place at the last minute. After about 2 hours, we were finally able to check in. The room was fine and breakfast was passable. The staff on hand at breakfast was very friendly and helpful.

Good place to stay (despite the outside…) with very friendly staff!
