North Iceland Hotels

A comfortable Inn / Hotel off the beaten path with an attentive staff supplemented with a menu highlighting the local area. The sunset views from aur accommodations was great.

Should be a 5 star hotel given the food, view and service. The rooms were a spartan, clean and modern. For a May visit, the rooms were quiet. Heated floor in bathroom. Area rug under bed.

Very nice hotel with great views of Lake Myvatn and a great place to explore the volcanic structures. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the rooms had spectacular views (on the Lake side).

Amazing hotel! We enjoyed the great location! Rooms were so clean and nice! Breakfast was excellent! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly!

It is a beautiful, welcoming, and very spacious place that is absolutely sparkling clean.

This place is just amazing, beginning with the hosts, Palina was actively texting to be prepared to receive us with a ready hot tub, she welcomed us and showed us the house.

We stayed here on night 6 of our Ring Road tour. The hotel is beautifully designed with unique decor. There is a comfy bar area next to the restaurant.

Excellent renovation. Has a Nordic chic ski vibe. Breakfast was terrific with a combo of hot and cold, and my family loved the two hot tubs.

This was the perfect hotel for our winter trip to search for the Northern Lights! The room was very comfortable, quite large, and cozy, with a window seat to read a book.

Great Hotel with perfect service, comfortable big room and cozy beds. Very nice staff and location in the Fjord. Super hot pool outside in front of hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Helluland Guesthouse! We booked two rooms and found everything very comfortable.

Staying here felt like being embraced by the true Icelandic spirit.

We finished the beers in a few hours with 5 lads. Great bar with great people behind the bar! Lovely place!

This place is great. We had tasty beers and great conversation with Snow. Loved our time in this little gem thanks to her!

Didn’t stay at the hotel. We ate at the restaurant for dinner. The atmosfere here is so relaxed and cosy. The man behind the reception desk also served the tables and he prepared the food.

The campsite we were heading for was closed and the owner very kindly allowed us to camp in the car park with our van (free of charge) and use the facilities. Immaculate hotel with a beautiful view.

Such a great campsite! Bathrooms are warm and clean. We arrived via campervan in the dark and there was still a nice guy manning the reception.

Renovated place, very clean, cozy, comfortable. We saw amazing aurora here. Good breakfast. There are not many rooms so it doesn't feel overcrowded even with a shared bathroom.

A wonderful hotel with rooms beautifully designed and super comfortable… We loved everything about Halond Hotel.

Great place to stay. Located outside of town middle way up the mountain, it has a great view. Hotel is new, with stylish and comfy rooms.

The house is incredible. Every detail is well thought through. The amenities are of high quality. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, which is not usual in Iceland.

Loved everything about this place.
Got to see the best northern lights of my life too!

🌞We were not a hotel guests but we came to hotel with hope that we can eat something on the way 🪷😀 Everything in the town was closed on sunday and owner of the hotel saved our lives from being hungry

Hotel Nordjulos in Raufarhöfn is an absolute gem—cozy, clean, and quaint, with comfortable rooms that make for a restful night. But what truly sets it apart is the people.

Fabulous hotel! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful space for relaxing in the reception area, by day and by night. Great breakfast and fantastic location!

Lovely clean hotel one of the best we have ever stayed in. Very nice staff that went out of their way to help you with anything.
Even told the lady on reception (owner? ) what a great hotel it was.

My favorite hotel in Iceland! The owner is always present, so kind, and will ensure a wonderful stay. The breakfast was a much appreciated touch, tasty, and had variety.

Although it's a small hotel with only 10 rooms, it sits on a hill, so every single room comes with a beautiful fjord view.

À very good small, boutique hotel in à small northern Iceland village. The geothermal hot water has a slight sulfur odor which is common along the north coast.

Great old hotel with charming character. Breakfast combined some cold cuts and eggs, cereals, bread etc. Nothing fancy or expensive. No salmon or haring. We missed a bit local food.

Kaldbaks-Kot is a very special and cosy place in Húsavík. Our chalet was in front of the bay and it had an African style, which looked weird at first glance since we are in Iceland!

A really magic place. Nature all around, exceptional surroundings with birds, trees, lakes, sea and mountains. All of this in a well cosy, structured, equipped tiny chalet.

Book one of these cottages and you won't be disappointed. Very cozy and clean.

Great place. They have individual cabins with 2 bedrooms, at least ours had 2. There is also a common hot tub in the center of the cabin area open to guests only, 24/7.

Quite good option in the city. Quiet, well equipped, bright and modern design. We didn’t get to try the hot tub but it’s a nice touch that they have one.

Great apartment style place to stay! Some rooms have a private hot tub, which was amazing after a long day!
Great view and comfortable room. Short drive to town for all restaurants and shops!

My sister and I stayed in a Superior Apartment at K16 and it was the best of all our accommodations throughout our Iceland ring road tour.

Very well maintained apartment. If you book superior you have washer and dryer in the unit as well! Just loved it. Akkureyri is a cute little town!

The apartment was large and well appointed. The location right across from the harbour is also a few minutes walk from the town centre.

A perfect apartment for 2ppl. Very close to the main downtown and marina. Had everything we needed to cook our own meals. And what they didn't have, there are grocery stores not too far away.

My wife and I had a lovely stay here for two nights. It's a quiet little home with some shared accommodations in the main house, and a couple of private cabins out back.

We stayed here over the weekend and absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this place! It is quiet, cozy, clean, and beautiful, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

A very nice place. The rooms have both private and shared bathrooms. The food is very tasty. The rooms are clean.

Very cozy! The breakfast buffet's smoked trout was yummy. The view from the kitchen is awesome. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a simple meal. The staff members were very kind.

Excellent place. Nice room clean and comfortable good size and the view from the hot baths is fantastic to sit.
Excellent breakfast as well. One of the best places we have stayed in Iceland.

A great location with the kindest staff. We had to leave early and breakfast was not ready yet. We drank some coffee and suddenly the kitchen staff came with scrambled eggs. If you can. Stay here.

Best cottage in Iceland! Thank you for the cookies!

Stayed here for multiple days as it is a good location to go out and see the area.

Definitely the best we had during our 10 days trip around. Cozy, super friendly, and delicious breakfast!

A very kind hostess, lovely accommodation and the best breakfast we had in Iceland during our trip.

I had a wonderful time at the Husavik Green Hostel. The owner of the hostel owner is incredibly kind, and took the time to give me a lot of helpful suggestions to help plan out my time in Husavik.

The Husavik Green Hostel is in central location, very close to the Husavik port, the hostess is very friendly and talkative, the room was clean but the double bed was not that big and the water has a

A lovely place to grab a drink and something to eat. Fab atmosphere and decor. Staff were spot on, polite and helpful. Food was lovely, loved the chicken Naan 😋 A good selection of drinks available.

Had an amazing time at Akureyri Backpackers Pub! The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and full of character — a perfect spot to meet fellow travelers.

I have spent the last 7 nights as a solo female traveller celebrating my 50th birthday 🎉🎉🎉.
This hostel is warm, safe and in a fabulous location right in the town centre.

I was travelling alone for my 50th birthday and as a solo female I felt safe and welcome at all times. It was out of season (March) and I had the whole hostel pretty much to myself.
