Amazing food, fresh from the farm. Beautiful location and unusual restaurant as you actually look out on a cowshed (not with cows)

Super fresh farm to table food. Great service! Unique experience to eat in a cow shed with actual life cows next to you. Highly recommend the lamb lion, lamb shank, Angelica Ice-cream and Geysir bread ice-cream (taste like wonderful cookies and cream)!

Wonderful place! The farm to table food was delicious, the scenery was gorgeous and the added bonus of watching the cows was delightful. Make a point to stop here on your journey through Iceland.

We came for happy hour and to share some appetizers, which were delicious! It was a wonderful experience to watch the cows being brought in from the fields to be milked!

The share platter for two of regional food specialities was great.

Amazing lamb shank meal with scenic view of the lake and sunset. Comfortable and quiet room. Can see the cows getting milked and have fresh milk from them.

We absolutely loved it! The food was Ah-mazing! Warm welcome, warm people, beautiful view… It made us love Iceland even more! Totally recommend!

Only stopped at the restaurant, but it was beautiful. All windows, great view, friendly staff, excellent food and well made espresso drinks. Loved it! Visiting the cows afterwards was nice too.

Food was the best I ever had! Lamb shanks cooked for 4 hours fell off the bone, Arctic Char (never had before) was amazing! The cabin was so quiet, quaint and perfect! Couldn't if asked for a better experience! I wish I could of stayed longer.

Spent one night at Vogafjos on our loop of the Ring Road and wished we could’ve stayed longer! Would be a great place for a family to spend a couple nights. The cabin style housing is cozy and small but very new/updated in feel and high quality furnishings. We loved that you can walk across the street to the farm and see tons of sheep, wander into the cowshed and check out the massive cows, and eat breakfast and dinner at the Cowshed Cafe on site! Incredible farm to table dining experience, and one of the best breakfasts we had during our Iceland trip. Definitely recommend this! Would love to come back one day.

Very nice hotel with log houses. Breakfast with homemade food. Through a window you can watch the cows.

It was ok. It was overpriced for as small as the room was. Nice breakfast was included, but this is fairly commonplace around Iceland. We didn’t eat at the restaurant outside of breakfast due to the prices. Good location near lake Myvatn.

I liked the room in a cozy cabin. The beds where nice and quiet place so I got a good night sleep. The reception staff was very helpful. The only bad thing is that we got cold potatoes with our meal and when pointed it out they came back wit less potatoes and still cold so I had to bring it up again. They finally gave us new potatoes and a 10% discount which was fair. The beef was perfect. Nice to see the cows from the restaurant.

Loved this place. Great cabins and wonderful restaurant. Make sure to taste their earth baked rye bread and visit the cow shed!

A very cosy place to stay, rooms resembles log cabins and it’s just right, food was delicious especially the breakfast buffet. Staff was always wearing a. Great place to visit.

Loved staying here. The food is delicious and the rooms so cosy. Lots of hikes close by and the thermal baths as well. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing food and great staff.

Room top, staff flop the rooms are beautiful log house style. Also the bathroom is beautiful though showers are probably more of a procedure because water only comes in droplets and really hot water does not come either.
Then the morning buffet is very rich and good, but wants to get a real coffee from the Super Italian coffee machine see photo You get to answer, there is not. It's not until 10 o'clock that someone who makes coffee here!
Even though I would demand again and also pay extra. No.
And that just doesn't go.
Also a friendly welcome or Good morning will not be heard here.
I spent three years with my tourgroup from Switzerland every year. But from now on the last time. There is better at this price. Sorry greeting icelandtour. Ch.

The hotel is worth a visit. Make sure to at least get a coffee in their restaurant.

Definitely the best accommodation we had in Iceland. Reception is helpful and friendly. The room was amazing! Clean and Cozy! Breakfast is great! Have fresh milk and can see their cows too. And we've seen northern lights here!

Amazing food cozy Nordic lodge like rooms. Twin beds could be a bit more comfy and bathroom is small but still worth the stay. Restaurant is amazing. Get the lamb stew and lamb shank. Generous breakfast buffet as well. Great central location.

A spectacular restaurant and a good price. For accommodation is too far away from everything.
