I never advise anyone to do this "homeless man. " This is not a hotel, but a "quiet horror" — everywhere dirty, the smell is terrible, the bathroom is just a tin (80s, everything flows and stinks), the furniture in the room is broken. There are some dubious personalities living in it, so it is not a fact that in the morning you will wake up with your blood or worse. And this is a hotel in the center of Budapest. Asked for parking, and I'm told it's not, park on the street. I have never seen such horror, although I travel often.

I booked the lowest category room online. They gave a room on the ground floor but that room was so small and dirty. I asked for another room, there was no other room available. We saw that the bed sheet was dirty so I asked the girl on reception to change it. She said the cleaning lady is not there anymore but at least she brought a new sheet and we changed it by ourselves. The internet was not working properly. The towels were wet and the lowest quality possible. You can hear anything from the neighbour. You hardly can close the window. The receptionist is sometimes there but mostly not. There is a phone number to call but they never answer. This room cost for 2 nights around 17.000 Forint but worth 0.

Facilities are good, but you should have your own soap and shampoo.

It is very nice small hotel. There is private parking place, but you can park in the street too. Staff is perfect. Room in nice, bathroom is nice too. Room is clean.

The hotel is very tired, with its smell to which you quickly get used to. Such impression that just nobody to deal with, to paint, repair windows, tiles and plumbing. Nearby there is a bus stop 112/110 which can bring you quickly to the center and back. There is a good café nearby but the kitchen works up to 21.00, there is a store post office and a pharmacy. The friendly staff is available 24 hours. Parking is free.

I put a star because it is the least that you can the reviews are distorted. Very dirty but especially the broken beds not replaceable, the staff could not anything compared to complaints… From that day to the sight of abandoned mattresses I can only think that the Carmen pension could serve!

Hole holes. Parking is free, there is Wi-Fi, it's out of the pros. Otherwise the whole hotel asks for a room renovation the old match the price. Of course you can stay but be prepared spartan conditions.

First of all, we were given a phone number to call in advance of our arrival. We called 15 times when nearing Budapest but no answer. We went there just to see if someone will be there as we were told there is no 24 hour reception. We got there and the receptionist came after us. No word about the phone calls or anything. Such a jerk. Then we found out we can not pay with our card because they can only charge HUF (Hungarian currency). We had to find an ATM that would work or an exchange office by ourselves (he had no ideea about such things even if he is from Budapest) and it was Catholic Easter at the time. We managed to find an ATM about 30 min away, and managed to pay for the room. I wish we hadn't. The first room given to us had a problem with the shower. The water wouldn't drain. After telling the guy, he was walking around like a headless chicken not knowing what to do. After about 45 min, and talking with the owner I presume, he told us to change the room. Both rooms were very filthy, not cleaned in a long long time. The wires in the beds were sticking out so that you had to shape your body like a snake to not lay on them, the linen was very old and paper thin and dirty, hairs all over, the pillows were like pieces of foam stuffed into a pillow case, the heating was absent, Wi-Fi would lose connection, the blankets were really thin. On the bathroom door there was a sign saying that if you want the towels changed, leave them on the floor.

Place from 90s, hasn't renovated since. Beds not suitable for sleeping, you will be laying on almost bare springs. Be prepared to hear all your neighbors doings.

Looks ugly, so now the price does not look as cheap. But nevertheless I can't say it was uncomfortable.

So much noise from the reception and the corridor, Also the Wi-Fi was very bad and there was no kitchen in the room.

Positives: Have free parking, budget stay, private bath & very friendly staff. Negatives: Rooms and beds are not as expected. Probably the same issue in most of the hotels here in Budapest.

Definately for the budget traveller. A step above hosteling. Very friendly staff who all speak English. Small common kitchen area with fridge, microwave, and dishes.

Nice staff, free parking lot, close to bus stations and stores. Also pretty cheap. Two things I didn't liked: the stained bedsheets, with the textures of the stains still feelable (grouse) and the electricity not working during daytime, or at least while we weren't in the room (not being able to charge batteries). All in all good pension to stay a few nights.

I don't recommend this hotel. The rooms are dirty and smoky, although on each door there is a sign "smoking is forbidden". Old furniture, including beds on which it is impossible to sleep normally. More You hear everything: as people come, go down the hall, even when the water is included! The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good.

I can't even find the words. A single squalor sucks. The rooms large but with old furniture sheets old bathroom unwatchable without resting towels The toilet paper thrown x ground because they didn't even have the. Roll rest. A bird never seen before. I understand the low price but so it exaggerates. I think if I called the hygiene office, I'd shut them down. I had booked x 3 nights… I only made one after that I ran away.

They should change the name to "cheap and dirty". But location is good: bus stop, and grocery store is 2-3min from hotel. Good restaurant on another side of street. I mean is not 5* restaurant but food was good and price was very friendly:) Internet: sometimes you have, sometimes not.

I would give less than zero! Poor to be restored immediately! Cost is based on the "quality" very unreasonable (20 days paid € 300 HFU 463 127.91), and or, outrageous! Very bad experience. Oh I miss the hotel "good Swing Joseph Boulevard. I could write for hours pointing out all the problems, lack of cleaning, shower bad — but always hot water — (1 point), I did not see the towel rack in the bathroom and every time I've had to fold and put it on the table. Greetings (Saluti).

The Hotel Carmen Panzio is a 3 star category, in my humble opinion is much closer to a category 1 star and I'm still too kind …
Appreciated the friendly staff and the ability to acquire information and be able to buy the "Budapest Card" at the property, very good from the point of view of the location, the hotel is located in a quiet area and well served by public transport.
Cleaning left something to be desired, not so much for the room as for hallways and stairs, the carpet felt came clean for months, also the shower in our room was leaking, flooding the bathroom floor.

Good, and cheap, for this price is ok so… if u want excellent service, go to Hilton…

Heating lacks. Bit dirty. Smoky rooms : (

Dirty hallways and carpets, water leakage from the ceiling, smoke smell on some rooms, very small bed sheets. Strange neighborhood.
