One of the best hotels is ones. Prime location in the heart of the city overlooking the river and Chain bridge. Clean and spacious rooms. Good and efficient service. Nice spa area but fitness room is pretty small. Nice hotel interior. Fine food. Highly recommended.

Great hotel. I enjoyed my stay there. It’s a little bit tired and could do with a small uplift. Love the building and how it designed with all the natural light. Beds were comfortable and really loved all the “sleep” options like different pillows and tea etc. Pool and gym facilities are good. Just be careful around the pool as I did slip and fall. Staff were nice and friendly and location was great. I recommend this place.

The hotel is decent, but no more. The staff is friendly and the rooms are decent. The view from the window can not be estimated, T. K. No room with a view of the river. The restaurant is really nice. Delicious sweets and very tasty meat.
Of the Cons: no toilet brush and air freshener. In the bathroom wash not very well, T. K. In the corners stuck hair and rust.

Lovely rooms with views of the historic city centre on the banks of the Danube. Clean, neat, thoughtful so that the guests do not interfere with each other. Awesome breakfasts! Friendly staff.

Ideally located hotel we had a view of the Danube. Close to shopping streets and public transport. The room (upper category) was spacious and very comfortable. We can only advise him. It's a five-star.

This hotel is pure luxury. The restaurant has an outdoor cafe that enhances friendliness among patrons. Food is great with local dishes Waitstaff friendly. My waiter Istvan Mate made my solo dining a memorable lunch.

Excellent location and very good facilities. The swimming pool and gym are very good however breakfast facilities are terrible. You need to stand in a line for approx 15 minutes daily before you find a place to sit. The staff is just okay. Stay if you want to enjoy the all the excellent tourist sites within walking distance.

Location^3, Great Customer Service, & Dreamy Bed. This is located with views of the Palace (Castle) and access to the tram and bus lines. The staff was very helpful scheduling tours into the country, as well as some city tours. We engaged the staff at the desk, the Concierge, Luggage assistance, and the lounge and they were all exemplary. Did I mention I ran Amazon's Customer Service for nearly a decade? You know good service too. Sofitel Chain Bridge is implementing it.

There is nothing negative to be said about this hotel. The location and service are by far outstanding. We were able to walk the Chain Bridge literally two blocks from the hotel door. The local ferris wheel and authentic Hungarian eateries are only three blocks away walking. The concierge was exceptionally helpful and even walked out to point us down the right street. The bed was comfortable and the room had stunning views of the Danube river. Loved the free Wi-Fi and western amenities. Service was always wonderful. The breakfast buffet has not only classical continental fare, but also traditional Hungarian breakfast cuisine that is very delicious. Wish we had spent another day there! Wonderful experience.

A really nice and friendly hotel, staff friendly and prepared, the rooms are very nice and equipped with all the comforts. Pleasantly surprised. A place where you can spend a relaxing and fun holiday.

Best possible location for tea or coffee in Budapest. Comfortable quiet ambience. The best possible waiters anywhere to be found. All the staff are obviously extremely well trained. Impeccable. Coffee came just as I ordered and the snack dish and cake was first class. Don't come here though if you want to skimp and save on a shoe string budget. You pay for excellence but in this case it's cheap and value for money as perfection has no price tag!

That's one of my most favourite hotels in Budapest. Hyatt/Atrium/Sofitel with unbeatable interior, very good breakfast, ideal location and good service quality is definitely one of the best hotels here to be considered. However, management should think about rearrangement of electricity outlets in era of mobile phones and laptops/tablets used by guests.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are ring-shaped, you can see from the lobby up to the 7th floor, nevertheless no noise nuisance or similar breakfast very varied and good, as well as the bar. Room with very nice view of the chain Bridge. You can reach many great sights on foot.

I attended a conference here but did not stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Everything went smoothly, they managed the large group without a single hitch. Even when I returned for my car at 2am the attending staff opened the garage for me and let me out without a hint of annoyance. Food was excellent. Location and view were bar none. Recommended.

Hotel was clean, friendly and top notch. They put a bottle of bubbly in the room as it was my partners special birthday. They where very helpful. Prices are high for the area, but not high for the quality of the hotel. Would defiantly stay there again. Pay that little bit extra for a better room, you will not be disappointed.

The location is good for both the view and the proximity to the center. The rooms a bit ' from the retro style, the lobby from the spaces immense and open is very nice. Certainly not worth the money they ask…

Very good experience with this great hotel.
I arrived by taxi, the doorman came to open the cab door, and took my luggage, a first for me… we're doing it fast.
The hotel is very welcoming, the staff are helpful, and always to inform you even for what does not concern the hotel (it is possible to buy Metro tickets).
The lobby is huge and the atmosphere is quiet.
The rooms are spacious with all the comforts!
-A huge bed, with as much pillow as it takes to be 100% at ease, there is also a mattress. When you sleep, you are wrapped up, of the feast… — a small lounge, with Office to finish his files… — a mini bar well furnished (not always filled after consuming, just ask) — super bathroom, with bathtub, shower… a bathroom what, But quality.
-Safe, to put your objects of value.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, the Paris Budapest (which I have not tested).
There is a spa and pool that I have not tested either (too busy to visit).

Hotel centrally located in the center of the Chain Bridge. Modern Hotel with large rooms; There is a possibility to have the Danube view room. Rich and recommended breakfast buffet. Good also the restaurant Paris Budapest which is inside the hotel.

This hotel is really beautiful. The rooms are clean, the staff are great and very helpful and the breakfast is to die for. Its in a great location too, lots of restaurants and bars around this area.

We had the double room with Royal Club Lounge! The service is very good at this hotel! Breakfast in the separate lounge area.

Rooms are good but service is not. At check-in I was told that breakfast costs 23 Euros if I book immediately and 28 Euros if I decide the following day which was unusual enough. Than the next day I was offered to book the breakfast at the reception for 23 Euros but my credit card got charged 28 Euros. At the same time my colleague was informed that breakfast is included. It is not about the 5 Euros but about the chaos at the reception. Also it is negative that you have to pay a 50 Euros deposit at the check in for the mini bar.

The rooms are comfortable, as are the beds (this is a big deal). Bathroom nicely appointed, with extras like nail files, cotton swabs, shower caps. If your booking includes breakfast, well, you will have difficulty deciding what to eat… seriously it is ridiculous. Oh, and the coffee is incredibly good (for those of us for whom that is important). Staff is first rate. The citizens of Budapest remember that they are from one of the great cities of Europe and the staff here will make you want to come back.

Strategically located steps away from great attractions and shopping areas, nice hotel, comfortable and friendly staff. Breakfast is plentiful and the coffee delicious. I had a problem and I forgot my credit cards in the taxi and the concierge was a great help and I was able to recover 2 hours later, excellent place, I recommend it.

A high class hotel that can, for a romantic weekend, stay affordable in terms of rates. Obviously its greatest interest is to book a room with a view of the castle. The comfort is good but for a luxury hotel it is deplorable that the toilets are not separated from the bathroom.
Otherwise the service is excellent and especially the location is absolutely perfect to radiate in the city on foot and still be able to go to the hotel.

It's worth what it takes a shame to be made out to one to smoke.

The hotel is very well located in the city, close to all the attractions and with a magnificent view of the Danube.
The service and reception are worthy of a 5 star hotel. The rooms are comfortable but without more, small bathroom for this kind of hotel.

The hotel is located directly on the chain Bridge and the city centre is within walking distance. The hotel has a great atmosphere, spacious and very clean rooms, an extensive breakfast buffet and very hostile staff. The hotel is highly recommended.

From check in to check out we were treated like special guests. We were totally surprised to be chosen "Guest of the Day". Special upgrade and a free drink & appetizer were absolutely enjoyed. Concierge went out of their way to make sure everything was right and helped us make plans for the day. The room was outstanding, the views were beautiful.

Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and the service from the staff was generally very good. However, while the senior staff in breakfast were very nice and attentive, some young staff in breakfast may need more polish and training. They seems not proficient enough to attend customer needs as quick as it requires. I encountered one incidence in one of six breakfast I had: I haven't finished my food and just walked away for a minute to grab a juice. When I returned to my seat, the staff already cleared my plate, cutlery and coffee. The hotel may come out some good ways to prevent such cases for single customer.

The staff were super welcoming, making us immediately feel at home. Special attention was given to our toddler, with a treat upon checking-in and a teddy bear in our room. They also have an amazing bubble bath package for kids, making bath time fun. Overall we were extremely impressed with the service and amenities of the hotel.

Very well decorated and good safety since you couldn't get to the rooms without a hotel card. However there were some "night workers" outside the hotel who approached me so I would not return with family/children. This is obviously no fault of the hotel so I have no complaints about the services I received. The rooms were spacious and luxurious feeling.

To sum up: The hotel is beautiful, its geographical location interesting, its services and its impeccable reception.
On the other hand the rooms are not worthy of a 5 star hotel. The toilets are not even separated from the bathroom. The view was… null!

Everything was pleasant or excellent (reception, overall setting of the hotel, quality of the room, bed, furniture, breakfast, restaurant Paris Budapest, luggage service, concierge, Executive Lounge).
Attention however to four points:
Prevent when the tile washers are at work which would avoid finding themselves facing them at the exit of the bathroom!
The service in irregular room (towels changed regularly, cosmetics also, the pretty swan on the bed but no follow-up of Nespresso capsules and both glasses and cups are not regularly cleaned).
At breakfast no server seems to speak French and the first coffee is very long to be served.
Excellent dinner in Paris Budapest but remove the televisions that are not worthy of such a restaurant.

Service in line with my expectations. I also had a special attention to the needs of my 16-month-old girl, very important when travelling with such a small child.

After having guaranteed to have a room they left me and my family to sleep in the lobby, they did not even deign to offer us a blanket. In the picture my 12 year old son who sleeps in the lobby.

High-level Hotel. Perfect location for those who want to visit the city. The staff is very helpful They speak English.

Our stay in a corner suite was everything I expected and more from Sofitel Chain Bridge. The hotel staff that I encountered throughout my stay were all professional, efficient and personable in all the transactions. The buffet breakfast room was excellent as well as the selection and quality of the available food selections. The suite itself was well designed with an extremely comfortable bed. For the most part it was well sound-proofed, which given its location was needed. My single criticism of the room was that some of the furniture was very dated and did not conform to the quality image of the suite itself. And lastly, I really liked the entire lobby atrium experience including the glass elevators. A great visual treat with an airplane hanging from the ceiling. What's there not to like about that?

My stay was only one day for business reasons. The hotel is located in front of the Danube and if you have the river front room you can enjoy a breathtaking view.
The staff was very kind and very professional. Check in and check out were handled professionally. At the hotel restaurant there was a very good and kind hostess.
All the staff were perfect and I thank the Reservations Department for having me booked the room in seconds.
I will go back often.

Hotel ideally located on the banks of the Danube. We enjoyed a room on the top floor with a panoramic view of the river. The staff are friendly, smiling and in small care. Delicious breakfast. See the size of the shower in width and height. Room decoration a little too classic for my taste.

Hotel located in a fabulous location for both the view and the central location: Beautiful view of the castle, the chain Bridge and the fishermen's bastions. Within walking distance of the parliament and the pedestrian zone, as well as the trendiest places. Very friendly and helpful staff Nice pool and gym very equipped.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the room and reception were very clean. My one issue was that the outlets were inaccessible. I had to pull out the night table to find one underneath so I could have my phone charge. The desk was also positioned at the window (I was in a river view room), so the outlet there was on the floor a foot behind the desk, definitely inaccessible for my ipad charger.

Excellent property
In luxury on the top floor room, ns had absolutely magic views of the Danube, the chain bridge, the Castle and the Bastion of the fishermen.
Well located, two steps from the Center.
Reception and VIP check-in at the club lounge. The staff friendly. The breakfast at the living room lounge, cozy (not more than 10 people) and tjs with this wonderful view.
Snacks, meals, drinks and champagne at discretion all day if vs like; TT this understood ds price…
You do not cross the other customers or very little.

Only downside, ns were surprised that the room is not made to our walk back around 5 pm. But this was quickly repaired etl night same ns found a word of apology as well as a small gift.

First of all, it took them a lot of time to check us in because their computer system was not working. We had booked a junior suite and paid a lot of money. But they gave us a smoking room even though we had asked for a non-smoking room. We had to change the room and we wasted an hour changing the room. They gave us another room which was a non-smoking but was in the smoking area. So, walking towards the room was full of smoke smell. The hotel is old from inside. The rooms are old, not enough lighting and the service is extremely poor. The front desk staff is rude. They also changed our check out time 1 our early. When we booked the hotel, we were told the check out time was noon. But when I asked the front desk, they said it was 11am. I asked for 30 mins late check out and they said NO. The front desk girl didn't even bother to check if it was possible. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. People who write good reviews about this hotel either they have never stayed in any good hotels or they like Budapest so much, they ignore hotel problems.

BEWARE OF THE LAUNDRY CHARGES! We were happy, overall, with the Sofitel Chain Bridge when we visited in July of 2015. However, we were charged nearly $300 (US) for a single load of laundry! If you look at the fine print, it is cheaper to throw your clothes away and buy brand new clothes, than it is to get your laundry done at the Sofitel Chain Bridge. $5 for EACH pair of socks washed, for example. It's a good hotel in a good location but the laundry service is absolutely extortionate.

Incredibly beautiful location. Staff is amazing and helpful! Breakfast buffet is fit for a king. I wish I was waking up in one of their comfy beds every day.

Great quality/price relation. The hotel is strategically located very close to the Chain Bridge. The rooms are spacious and nice, with all the amenities youc an expect in a 5 star hotel. The hotel has a beautiful atrium. The breakfast is really nice and offers a wide variety of choices. Nice swimming pool.

Welcoming, beautiful views over river. Executive Club and rooms on 8th floor very worthwhile, and inside is an atrium, setting this hotel with a style of no other. Been completely full, so pool, swimming, spa services and Club, and rooms, very busy.

Stayed as a couple for a weekend break and had an excellent experience. For the most part the hotel was as you'd expect from somewhere of this class, but what we felt set it apart was the quality of service. Everyone was smiling, friendly and eager to help. The lead bartender on the Saturday, Zoltan, was a highlight: we popped in for a drink before leaving for dinner elsewhere, but he was so friendly and informative that not only were we late for dinner, but we changed our plans and came back for more afterwards. The only negatives seem a bit petty by comparison: slightly tired rooms and furnishings, one uncharacteristically unenthusiastic waiter at breakfast, and only one teabag of English Breakfast per double room. The location, while excellent, unfortunately isn't quite as river-fronting as the publicity shots suggest. Still — in light of the overall experience, none of it feels quite worth docking a star for.

It was my first time in Budapest, so I have very nice memories from LG time. I still remember the view trough my hotel window and see nice old chains bridge across the river. I would like to say hello and big thanks to my friend Laszlo Tamasz. He is good. :-).
