Everything was absolutely great from breakfast, service, to cleanliness. The room was so very clean and the bed felt great. Pool and sauna area is absolutely exotic. Location with the view from terrace on Budapest was so beautiful. Small reastaurant, but it's ok… Absolutely perfect venue for events and meetings, will be back soon! Perfect location, however, you can not expect too much. Air conditioning turned on at night and in the afternoon again. Breakfast in the basement, partly very greasy, but good selection. Coffee, however, was not recommended. The roof terrace is super nice, but could also be enhanced.

Hotel room was way too small, view into the inner yards wall. People waiting at the lift could see inside your room. No convenient parking. Great location.

The room we stayed in was the best hotel room I’ve ever stayed in! I want to stay in it again when I visit next. Had the most amazing views and at such a reasonable price! Loved the spa facilities and also such a good spread for breakfast! the roof terrace was amazing too — absolutely nothing negative to say at all. I can’t wait to come back x.

We expected more from this hotel for the fee we paid (150 E per night). We got a ground floor room which was suppose to be superior. The room was very small and dark as we had window only to the inside court yard. We could here every little noise outside of our door, which was used as a lobby where people were walking around and sitting and chatting. The bed was okay, but we did not like the fact that there was two single matrac instead of double. Room walls were also dirty. Breakfast was fine but down in the basement where there is no natural light at all.

Hotel President is located very conveniently from a tourist's point of view. It is across the street from the national bank of Hungary and the Hungarian stock exchange. It is a couple of minutes walk to St Stephen's basilica, the Hungarian Parliament, Chain bridge and the Danube river bank. The tram line runs close to the hotel too though we walked every where. The rooms are clean and beautiful though not very big but okay by European standards. They have an Espresso machine in the room but give only 4 coffee pods for your entire stay. If you want more you can buy from the reception for 1 Euro each. : ( The reception staff is very helpful and the variety of diffusion water at the reception is great. It is a thoughtful gesture. I helped myself to a couple of glasses every time I went there. The breakfast is amazing and we also found champagne bottles at one corner of the buffet that we helped ourselves to. I am already planning another trip to Budapest and another satisfying stay at President hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Good Hotel and central location However they should avoid assigning to the clientele rooms in small spaces and of unacceptable size (not even the space for the suitcases). Better to give up a take than to damage the image of the hotel, which I repeat of good level. For me a bad experience.

Loved the stay at hotel president. Friendly staff, amazing breakfast and services. You are not far away from the parliament or to the other tourist locations. You can always access the Public Transport Services which is not far away either. Please try the roof top restaurant if you get a chance. Only regret was, the double room was really narrow. Rest was good.

Beautiful and elegant. Very spacious room, I will definitely return. Available at the reception. Central Hotel You can visit everything on foot. Only breakfast is not the best for us Italians who are used to eating sweets and croissants.

Classy hotel. International, lacking quite charm. Cold and impersonal. Outstanding public areas, but rooms a little sad and dark.

Staff were welcoming and helpful its just the hotel seem to always have an issue, whether it be the lifts, the odd smells from obvious sewage issues, inconsistent heating and water temperatures. They often fixed the issues quickly but was inconvenient. We had one of the top floor rooms but me mindful this compromises headroom. Rooms are reasonable, nothing to write home about but meet your needs although we was informed there are no double beds in the hotel, with all rooms two single beds pushed together. Our room had a whirlpool bath, it has seen better days but did add to the room rather than the usual small bath. The ice skating ring provides beautiful views and is a real spectacle its just a shame its an artificial surface and you really don't get the ice skating experience. I took a view pictures in skates then 2mins later I was off the cardboard (ice). Hotel is well located, close to public transport a variety of restaurants including fast food and some superb sites, being next to the parliament.

Nice hotel. The location is very convenient. The skating rink on the roof. And the view from the roof is very beautiful to the whole pest.

We were in this hotel a group of 19 people, all double rooms and one single. Rooms in the new building, clean and nice, although they differed a lot between them, some as the 130 were large and others like the 131 tiny, worth the same and all overlooking an interior courtyard of the hotel, somewhat claustrophobic. Better the first floor, the ground zero so much noisier.
Breakfast very good, great variety and very rich. The spa is free for hotel guests and on the terrace there is an ice skating rink and nice views.

Hotel President in Budapest is a clean and upscale place. The location is good. There are enough interesting places, restaurants and shops nearby. A park is a few feet away. People usually come relax or walk their dogs. The hotel staff is mostly friendly and very professional. Lighting in the hallways is very well done and make you feel good. I really liked the setup of my room and the way it is decorated but my bathroom sink was clogged and was not sinking well. The windows are not sealed enough. Cold air passes through. There was no iron in my room. Sometimes my door does not shut properly. I have to make sure of that. Breakfast is okay but could use more variety of food. There is a fitness center, a sona, a jacuzzi and a small swimming pool in the basement. The fitness Center is small and does not have much tools though. The neighbourhood is very quiet. Overall the place is okay but could use a few improvements.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff and a perfect location.

Very grand entrance and welcoming staff. Breakfast was fabulous lots of choice. My single room was comfortable and adequate in style but apart from the bathroom which was lovely the decor was a bit tired. Also there was not enough light in front of the wardrobe so it was tricky pickling clothes. The hotel was very central only a few blocks from parliament but quiet in an evening so we were not disturbed during the night. The roof top terrace was AMAZING. I would just request a space to chill and read a book near reception. All the sofas were lined down the corridors on he way to check in desk. Pool was fabulous, but only 15m so not for long distance swimmers. Overall lovely place.

Enjoyed my stay. Good hotel. Large but spread out so it does not feel massive. Clean and tidy.

The hotel is VERY impressive. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms were a let down. Shower door missing. Lack of towels. Coffee machine (Gusto) in rooms but no pods. Shame because everything else we could not fault. Breakfast was amazing.

The location of the hotel is perfect. We walked to all the places. 15-30 min. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the spa a plus at the end of the day to rest. There is a cafeteria next to the hotel with very good coffee and tarts. Very close to bus station and subway. I would go back to the same hotel definitely.

As a South African visiting Hungary for the first time, hotel president was absolutely fantastic! The staff are friendly and accommodating, while the food is very good fare. The prices are very reasonable and the rooms are well appointed. Also, it is brilliantly positioned to see most of what Budapest has to offer on foot.

SSTF good location for this hotel which is close to Parliament, from the chain Bridge to the pedestrian district full of shops and very good bars er restaurants. Breakfast is good. The rooms are clean by cons the bathroom piping leaves rhyme to be desired. Damage.

This is a great value for money hotel. Excellent spa, very good breakfast, the service was great, and both the location and the view from the roof top is amazing. Highly recommended.

Well but rooms without window overlooking the outside!
The only window overlooks an indoor patio.
Result: 25 °c in the middle of winter and they do not put the air conditioning!

Fantastic location, close to attractions. Breakfast is very good with variety. The hotel staff is friendly and helps us a lot. The rooftop has amazing view especially in the evening. However, the hotel does need some maintainence. We stayed in the suite which is supposed to be the best room in the hotel, but the condition of the room is a bit worn out, the headrest in the bedroom is a bit broken and wardrobe handle is broken. It is not worth the money to stay in the suite.

Very nice hotel. Room a little bit for us but good value for money overall. Roof terrace not open in October. Disappointment.

Room was ok but nothing special, rather little bit small for that, the spa was great.
The hotel is also very centrally located and all the important points can be reached on foot quickly.
The highlight is the rooftop bar. The night view is breathtaking.

Great location and very good breakfast. Spa small and poorly run. Press 3 times at the reception that the heating in the room did not work but in 4 days and 3 nights you have never seen a maintainer. Also I paid for a superior double which of superior had nothing.

The Hotel is pleasant. At 4. Room 117 is on the 1th floor. The room is cold. The Air conditioner is overall noisy and heats up for a long time. The bathroom in the shower does not have a single door! SPA in the evening after long excursions saved. The Staff is friendly. Breakfast is Continental.

The overall experience was very nice. We stayed in the 'new' building. The room was very clean and new, bathroom as well. The towels are changed when you throe them on the floor (totaly ok) but some days we got less towels then the day before Breakfast was good and tasty — you have all you need. The location is everything — half a minute from the Metro station, 2 min walking from the churh — the center of the center. Liked it very much, maybe will come back again.

The rooms that they show on the internet have nothing to do with the one you find in the hotel. A total hoax. A small room with a small bathroom and totally outdated.

I was on the roof terrace in the summer. Very nice view over the city. Food and drinks are a bit too expensive.

We stayed here for 4 nights during winter. The room was lovely, warm and well furnished. The breakfast is a buffet type with everything you'd want! We enjoyed spending time in the spa, especially in the jacuzzi!

Super hotel in a great location in center of Budapest. The staff were very helpful, the rooms are comfortable and the pool is very nice. Definitely recommend the full body massage, also the restaurant is top notch!

The preserved room does not correspond to the conditions of a 4 star hotel. A night box with a lamp was missing in room 224. Furthermore, areas of the surfaces of the box and the door to the bathroom, as well as the corresponding door post in the lower area, were damaged. At the floor of the shower cubicle, some of the small tiles were missing. The shower cubicle was clearly lime-infested on one side, outwardly. In addition, it was visible that the hanging direction for the towels had not been cleaned for a long time.
In room 117, one of the regular two shower doors was missing, so that water splashed out again and again during the personal care. The clothing on the headboard, which consists partly of a leather upholstery, was already partly yellowish discolored and defective.
The rest corresponded to the conditions of a 4 star hotel, although it should be noted that the surroundings of the hotel offer some inviting places to stay, eat and drink as well as hair care.
As a resumee, it can be said that should be carefully inspected at check-in to the received room.

Looking from outside it looks fabulous. Location incredible. But inside should be defined as small and dark. First time I entered room I was shocked because it was too small. I said Ok at least we have a window to lighten room. I opened it and it was looking inside the building; corridor. Eventually I paid 125€ nightly. Too expensive.

Lovely hotel in the centre of budapest, good breakfast food range, reasonable gym and spa facilities although in need of repair in places. Amazing views of Budapest from the roof terrace, although quality of food served on the terrace isn't worth the money; eat elsewhere. Close walking distance to At Stephens Basilica area which is packed with bars and restaurants.

Fantastic hotel. Friendly staff and has both classical and contemporary decor plus the hotel offers a really great breakfast.

Not a good value for money place to stay, rooms are clean but nothing special, average breakfast, unfriendly and unwelcoming staff at the reception. Pool and spa basic and not very clean.

Nice hotel at good place at the city. Little bit small two persons room without window outside. Very good breakfast with sparkling wine! We had early leaving so they did breakfast to us, that's fantastic. Maybe bathrobes and flipflops should be on the rooms. Our holiday went very well in this hotel.

Vey convenient, centrally located hotel. The SPA, pool and gym are very nice, clean and spacious. The rooftop restaurant offers great views for your afternoon drinks. Rooms are ok. If there is anything I did not like — breakfast in the basement — some daylight would make them even more enjoyable. I will be back at this hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Budapest, between St. Stephen's Basilica and the parliament building. Featuring a spa and massage centre. Good breakfast International.

Excellent hotel strategic as clean and cheap location, very rich breakfast and air divine relaxation recommended.

1. No soft bedside lights … just ON!
2. A bit of a chore to find the room … the desk clerk just waved us in the general direction with a less than helpful attitude. We seemed to be interrupting his evening somehow.
3. Breakfast was OK … I tasted better in England at a little old suburban hotel with barely a three star rating.
4. No kettle in the room for a cuppa and absolutely NO paperwork … or information that gave us the reception number to order room service! (If indeed there was any)
5. The bed was too hard and not cosy.
6. The shower had no clear instructions to guide us to change the water-heads. Took us a while to figure it out and we couldn't ring reception as we didn't have a number … we also didn't want to interrupt the desk clerks evening!

8. I wouldn't stay here again.

Perfect location clean and quit hotel.

The staff are really helpful, very clean place, shame there is no shower screen and water goes everywhere. Towels are threadbare and no complimentary coffee despite having a kettle in the room! All in all it is more like a 3 star hotel than 4 star. Budapest is a great city though and hotel is in an excellent location.

A beautiful hotel, clean, quiet, the service is on the high level which is rare nowadays. The restaurant is on of the best places to eat (i especially recommend a club sandwich), and in the summertime the terrace with a beautiful panoramic view on the city center and buda castle is fascinating. Also there is a little boutique with hungarian hand-made chocolate. i am coming there again and again.

The best Presidential suite of Budapest for my taste! :) The Hotel is in the hearth of Budapest. Great experience!
