El Dorado Inn

The staff were very hospitable, and quite professional. The room was cozy and very beautiful. It also came with a little balcony so that was great.

My first time staying at El Dorado Inn, and I will be returning. The customer service was excellent. The room was clean, well put together and the food was great. The Manager was especially accommodating. Sometimes staying in the local accommodations out weighed these chain hotels. 😁😁😁

The hotel was nice and centrally located. The room was large and very nicely decorated. The hotel is centrally located. The breakfast isn't buffet style and vegetarians and vegans need to request special meals. Most of the staff was friendly. They asked about food allergies, then proceeded to ignore them. For some reason our room wasn't cleaned for 2 days of our 5 day stay. When brought to the attention of the front desk it was quickly rectified though.

This is my second stay at the El Dorado Inn and my experience have been positive. This hotel has a cozy victorian feel it. It's in great secure location and close to many points of interest. The rooms are spacious and cean with all the amenities. The front desk, housekeeping and other staff members are courteous and helpful. A big thanks to Tara from housekeeping who was there on my arrival to very the AC and refrigerator were operational and other amenities in room available. She was also in helpful in pointing out local establishments for food and shopping. Overall, a very good experience.

When my dad and I planned to travel to Guyana after 10 years away, we were looking for a place that was comfortable and centrally located. What we got was a home away from home. El Dorado Inn provided beautiful, comfortable, and clean accommodations during our two-week stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful, being patient with us when we needed a little extra time before letting them in to service our room. The front desk staff were also super helpful in giving recommendations for restaurants, tours, and shopping.
Among the hotel amenities, the daily breakfast was a highlight. Every morning at breakfast was a delight, as we were treated to delicious Guyanese food, including salt fish and bake, provisions, fried fish, and fresh fruit. Overall, the vibe of El Dorado Inn is relaxed and welcoming. A true home away from home.
The hotel location is also perfect, as it’s walking distance to places like Bourda Market and St. George’s Cathedral.
If you’re planning a visit to Georgetown, I’d highly recommend El Dorado Inn.

Great location and spacious room. Nice staff. The parking for guests continues to be a challenge and the hotel vehicles continues to take priority although they are stationary for months. This should be looked at and give guests priority to park especially when they have a rental vehicle. I waited until 11pm last night to get a proper park at the side of the hotel as there was road paving activity. I went for breakfast at 8.02 this morning July 3rd 2025 and most of the food items were almost empty, more so the fried plantains but the server showed no care and just moved along. She was in a hurry to ship me onwards. I took 2 boiled eggs only. Should consider other options that are not fried/ oil based for the breakfast menu. Just suggestions to consider about the parking and the menu. Thanks for the opportunity.

I stayed here for nine nights and the staff, service, food and everything else was excellent.

The Eldorado Inn is a homely little place. The rooms are nice and clean with all the necessary amenities and the staff is wonderful, they cater to your every need. The best thing about the El Dorado is the food! They serve a wonderful breakfast which is included in the price. Once I'm in Guyana for business, I will go to the Eldorado Inn.

El Dorado Inn exceeded expectations. Deborah the chef made a special effort to cook a vegan breakfast which was simply delicious. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. There is 24 hour security, the rooms are comfortable, clean, cool and there is constant hot water. If you have any issues there was a maintenance man onsite. The location is central and easy walking distance to town. Definitely recommend.

I had a very lovely time at The El Dorado Inn in Georgetown, Guyana. Its location is great for someone who wants to be in the city. My stay was excellent, very comfortable and secure. My room was spacious and well-aired.
The staff were all lovely, very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Guests are greeted all the time with lovely, smiling faces and the bonus was the wonderful breakfast moments in calm and quiet setting in the beautiful main area; the food — absolutely delicious! A personal touch of water bottles in the reception area was a very thoughtful thing to provide for guests and a very lovely painting was on display in the same area, setting a very nice scene, indeed!
I will definitely return The El Dorado Inn any time I'm in Georgetown as I had happy time there — I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the city… A huge THANK YOU to all the staff at The El Dorado Inn — see you all soon!

I had an excellent stay at El Dorado Inn. They were very nice. The breakfast was excellent. It's a safe place. The staff is helpful. I highly recommend them. The rooms had AC and were well kept.

Overall a pleasant experience. The check in staff was kind and polite. The breakfast was delicious. The room was ok… except for the toilet was not flushing properly and the key broke as soon as it placed in the lock. Albeit, the place was clean and comfortable.

They actually called to confirm that I was not having breakfast before closing the buffet. Great service.

Great location in Georgetown in the city centre. VeryFriendly and helpful staff. The room was big comfortable and clean. Hot and cold water was great in the shower. I am a vegan and the breakfast chef Sharon Williams cooked some great vegan breakfast just for me as the buffet sometimes don't have a lot of Vegan/Vegetarian options and the food was so delicious. They really made our stay extra special and I am so thankful. I will definitely stay at this hotel when we visit Guyana again. Anna London UK🇬🇧

The Hotel is a very warm place to be with Friends and Family. The Staff are so welcoming and recieptable.
Its one of the best places for vacation.

Very comfortable stay. Staff customer-service friendly and polite. Surroundings clean and relaxing. Well air conditioned with spacious and daily maintained bathroom service.
Taxi service not far and summoned by desk as a courtesy.
My highpoint was the breakfast included in price. It was a taste of the country's cuisine cooked impeccably by Ms. Pat and staff.
Returning in a few months. Hope to get my same room and just as welcoming service.

The location is good within Walking distance to most places.
The accommodation (double room) 315 was located at the end of a corridor and accessed by 1 flight of stairs with several uneven risers. (trip hazard). There are no views unless you like looking at water tanks, and zinc coverings from other buildings in close proximity. The entrance door lock was loose. The room was large but the decor is very tired and needs updating. The AC worked well along with the ceiling fan. There was a leak from roof into the room when it rained one day this was reported and the maintenance person checked the roof. The bathroom requires updating particularly the WC which had a loose flush handle and seat. Water from the shower compartment does not drain away properly. The entrance to the bathroom is also a trip hazard. The cost of 32, 000 Guyanese dollars per night is exorbitant for what is offered. The breakfast menu is limited. The POSITIVES are the staff who work extremely hard, and are helpful.
