Great location and the whole place is super clean. As others suggested the breakfast is also amazing considering it’s a free breakfast.

We stayed at this place for several nights and can 100% recommend it!
The owner is extremely welcoming and friendly from the very beginning.

Demurely a party hostel so attracts a younger crowd. Rooms are really small but it was 4 people sharing a bathroom which was decent. Enjoyed the breakfast and view from the top terrace is nice.

I had a good stay here at Dreamboat Hostel.
Even though it is a party hostel, I didn't Eben socialize here (I befriended two people elsewhere in Panajachel and spent time with them).

Solid stay for a hostel. Rooms were small but clean, felt pretty secure for a private room. Shared bathrooms were kept clean, as were common areas.

Had an amazing time here honestly very surprised booked this last minute because could not get a reservation at the other popular hostel in Santa Cruz. But honestly was blown away about this hostel.

I see a lot of reviews on here that may not tell the full story so I’m going to share mine (they give free shots for positive reviews).

A huge shoutout to bartender Dion — absolute legend. He’s been amazing the whole time. Super friendly, always helpful, and genuinely cares about the guests having a good time.

We had a lovely stay at socialtel atitlan for our first 2 nights on the lake. Meals were great.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this hotel that was pleasantly surprise. It definitely has a social vibe to it. They definitely promote their activity and such but it wasn’t over the top.

El Viajero is a solid place to stay in Panajachel. We enjoyed the tranquile atmosphere. Service is good, including quick laundry service and almost permanently available coffee and tea.

Great location in the heart of town with many shops and restaurants nearby. Hot coffee in the morning and evenings. Rooms were fine with hot water and private bathrooms.

I was super impressed with my stay at Amigos.
The rooftop is absolutely stunning, and the perfect place to unwind and relax.
The room was very comfortable and clean.

The check-in was smooth and my stay was great. I arrived within the opening hours, showed my passport — they took a photo, I payed in cash and everything worked well.

This is a no frills hostel, however despite its appearance being quite basic, it is perfect for a night or two.

This hostel was a surprise, I planned to stay here just one night but ended up staying 1 week.
Is not luxury but they cleaned the rooms very well (I saw them even moving the beds).

The location is great. Just a few steps from Santander (the Main Street). The price is unbeatable! The bathroom is in another room where people are staying so it’s a little uncomfortable.

For the price this was excellent. Roughly £9 for a private room.
Good Wi-Fi (not in my room but communal areas was fast). Nice and quiet. Nice rooftop with views too.

I would rate more than 5 stars if it was possible. Elder is the most genuine, involved and helpful host you can imagine.

I highly recommend this accommodation! The place was clean, and the location was conveniently close to everything. Elder was extremely accommodating! I would come back and stay here.

AHAU is a perfect hostel that offers many chill zones with a social aspect. The owner, staff and volunteers were incredibly helpful and thoughtful. I cannot recommend this hostel more.

We loved our stay here! The boys were all so welcoming and talked with all the guests like friends, not customers. It felt like home.

I initially wanted to stay three nights at Mandala hostel, but extended my stay because I felt so at home.

Great atmosphere. Not as much privacy in dorms. Great kitchen with free tea and extra food all the time. Beautiful view to eat your meals from. Super nice staff.

Wow, this is the most beautiful place on the lake! The infinity pool is amazing, with the best views of the water. The whole vibe here is super relaxed, and the service is fantastic.

What an absolute gem! The location is perfect, right in the heart of San Pedro, making it super convenient to explore.

Located at the end of the tourist strip so away from the hustle & bustle of backpacker bars. But it was noisy with the sound of motorbikes!
Just stayed 1 night. Room was fine with a hot shower.

Friendly family. Quiet but convenient location. Great view. Reasonable rates. Spacious room with cable and Wi-Fi.
