Cheap Hotels in Central Crete

Booked via tui a last minute break. Read the reviews after! Did slightly panic thinking I'd be the oldest guest there.

A nice place, good, clean, budget hotel, but all the 5* reviews, not in my book.
I was OK as I knew you had to pay for extras-internet, 10 €/week is OK, other charges — AC, safe, late check out, etc.

Rooms are excellent in size, big and airy, that are kept clean by housekeeping lady and my towels were changed daily, and clean bedding 3 times during the seven nights I stayed.

We would like to thank Vasso, Lefteris and all of their wonderful staff for making our stay perfect.
Rooms are very well maintained all garden and pool area very clean and well maintained.

Went here with a group of 9 girls, we were petrified by the reviews however very pleasantly surprised. Rooms were pretty, clean and homely. Our passports were NOT held captive.

Lovely hotel! Recently refurbished and great value for money. Excellent location for the strip, beach and old town of Malia as everything is in walking distance.

The staff are amazing. Always have good advice for things to do and see. Also they are all very fun. Could not recommend it enough. And the food is fantastic.

Cheap but cheerful!
Located right on the middle of the strip, it is only a 2/3 minute walk to all the bars and clubs and about 7 minutes max to Malia old town. This is was very convenient.

Went on a holiday was 9 other mates. Perfect for that kind of holiday. Right on the strip, good Wi-Fi, takeaway right across the road. Bar staff Poppy was amazing.

Amazing place — very cozy, clean, and with everything we needed. The view is spectacular, and waking up to the sound of the sea is unforgettable.

A lovely spot with the balcony overlooking the Libyan Sea. Very relaxed and a great place to recharge your batteries after a lot of touring around.

A very nice family hotel with a very good restaurant, so easy when you arrive later or after a busy day. Very friendly. Basic rooms but perfect for the price, big terras. Parking place nearby.

We arrived on 7th May 2026 late and was met with a lovely man called manos who checked us in. He led us to a ground floor apartment which had 1 bedroom with 2 beds and 2 single beds in small kitchen

Brilliant hospitality and service, with a lovely family atmosphere. Also a great spot with a bus stop outside the premises enabling the easy transportation.

A very nice Hotel nearby Hersonissos! The service was amazing and all the staff very friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. You should make a visit!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! The location is perfect — just a short walk from the sea. The hotel’s private pool was spotless and a great place to unwind.

Super kind staff and very nice welcoming with invitation drink and snack. They have their restaurant with nice local food. Also there is a washing machine that guest can use for free. Amazing!.

Excellent host, apartments are spacious and 15 minutes from great beaches and natural gorges, 10 minutes from Plakias by car. The view is spectacular.

What a lovely small family owned and run hotel. Basic and very very clean. Comfortable bed, Wi-Fi and a shared kitchen. Water pressure for the shower was great and lots of hot water.

We came here 10 years ago and always wanted to return. Simple, clean and friendly with a flower fringed terrace and a useful shared kitchen.

As this is a two star hotel it should really only get two stars, however for the price we paid it is superb.

We booked our stay at Frixos Hotel for our annual summer holiday this year. We were looking for somewhere situated close to the town and the beach.

The apartment is lovely and spacious, with an excellent terrace offering a great view. It has a well-equipped kitchen but it would be nice to have a few more utensils and plates.

Stayed here one night. Room was nice and a good price. Short walk down to the harbour and restaurants.

We had a very nice stay at the Ostria hotel thanks to the clean rooms and the hotels positioning in Agia Galini. The very loving and personal atmosphere was something we acknowledged.

Very attentive and wonderful owner. She is always ready for a chat or advice. Rooms are authentic Greek and clean (cleaned every day including fresh towels and bed linen).

Great place and wonderful host! We wanted to visit Matala and Red Beach and be in a quiet place. This is the place! Quick communication by Jodi, cleanliness everywhere and has everything you need.

Only had a meal and drinks, great service and wonderful atmosphere, reasonable prices. The place is clean and comfortable the staff are approachable and friendly would recommend an evening here.
