We were there for 14 days and are more than satisfied. It is a small cozy complex, quietly located, a rental car is an advantage, which is also offered on site. The entire staff is lovely, kind, friendly, accommodating, helpful and fulfills every wish. If you like it small and familiar, you are in excellent hands there.

I would highly recommend Bella vista for a break as the staff are all wonderful and friendly. They all try there very best to make sure you enjoy yourself. They know all the good spots to relax or activities. I Would highly recommend it. I am a repeat customer x.

Just returned from holiday at Bella Vista, had an amazing time.
The pool area was stunning with the best view anyone could ask for with the sea, mountains and the whole resort in the distance. The apartment was very clean and smart, and the staff were brilliant.
Thank you rally for the funny chats by the pool bar and great service, also thank you Maria for your kindness and hospitality.
Definitely recommend the Bella Vista for a great holiday.

5stars aren’t enough to justify the time that we’ve had here, 11/10 should be awarded for the staff and their beautiful hotel. We stayed here for the first time this year and as soon as we arrived we were greeted with such a warm welcome from our favourite barman Riley. He, along with all of the staff; Maria and Alexandra and the lovely maid (who I’m afraid we didn’t get her name) — were so kind and warm to meet and made us feel so comfortable as soon as we checked-in. We’re so sad to be leaving this gorgeous place, situated with amazing views of the mountains and sea. We have fallen in love with Crete; the people, the scenery, the food and the many many drinks that we have enjoyed. Can’t thank the team at Bella Vista enough, we hope to return and be reunited with this family run hotel who provides you with the best service you could ask for when being on holiday. Very well maintained apartments with large pool and great views of the sea.

For the 3rd time here and a better panorama and hotel I do not know.

Lovely place, lovely friendly people, clean and well looked after.

A decent hotel that is fuerita of the most touristy parts. The hotel would be 3-star. It's not the last wonder but neither is Satan's basement! The rooms are spacious but a little old as much as the whole hotel. They charge 6 euros to have air conditioning and there is only in the master room and not in the large room. There's a breakfast a morning. It's more or less. Nothing special but convenient to have right there. The pool is ok but not heated. Maria is the owner and is very attentive to all. Considering it's fine but I think would look for another hotel in the future.

The Bella Vista is a lovely little place, nestled a kilometre up a hill fro the seafront in Stallis. The compound consists of a nice little pool and a bar, with apartments built up the steep hillside to the North, as well as a few on a terrace at the front. There is a new addition of a dining area with a small buffet for breakfast and evening meals — although we more often ate breakfast at one of the outside tables. The food selection is limited due to the small size, but Maria provides a good quality and variety. It is slightly less than a kilometre to the beach — down the steep hill, under the main coastal road, and a quick dogleg on to the seafront. I found this to be fa better than being in one of the hotels at the bottom of the hill for several reasons. Firstly, the view is spectacular; over the sea, and coast stretching to the East, and the sunrise over the mountains. Being up the hill also means you are above the humidity that can dog the coast. Also, while Stalida is far quieter than the resort of Malia next along, the Bella Vista sits in the quiet away from any loud partying or bars. Of course, there are all the bars and restaurants you could want a short stroll down the hill, as well as a couple of supermarkets, and you can always get a taxi back up up you are overburdened or have overindulged. The rooms are lovely, cool and spacious, with a bedroom, a living room (with one or two sofas that convert to beds if required) and a bathroom with shower.

We were In Stalis Sept 17. We didn't stay here but friends of ours did at the same time. They are very far from Stalis centre.

Me and my friend stayed here kinda last minute as we messed up some dates on another hotel, didn’t expect much, but it was a family run hotel and the staff were super friendly. The restaurant was homemade food and it was excellent and not expensive. I ordered some drinks at the bar, and having some good conversation with the server he said he liked me and gave me free drinks! Great experience!

My family and I have been here for a bit and like the weather and pool facilities but no other children for my son to play with, pool bar appears expensive for drinks and the apartments are up a big hill which we were not told about by our booking company Sunmaster. Co. Uk, also on night of arrival we were given a good sized family room which was great but we had to pay for air conditioning and were not advised of this either, it's only in 1 main bedroom, it's 6 euro per day and have never had to pay these extra air conditioning costs in a self catering accommodation before in previous European countries we have visited, theres also no brush to do floors which again would normally get in self catering accommodation and only 1x maid on site to brush floors etc so find can get ants, also the cost of food and drink for buying in shops for self catering is very expensive and eating out but reasonable as you get large portions, some local bars around stalis are charging 16 euro for a beer / rum and some Fanta lemon and 1x ice cream / others are charging 20 euro for 4x drinks like drambuie which is ridiculous when traveling and feeding a family in self catering accommodation.

Great set of apartments. Food is all home cooked, staff friendly. The only thing keeping this from a five star is the steel hill you have to walk up to get there from the centre of Stalis.

Family style apartments run by friendly genuine people, with great fresh food and a lovely clean swimming pool, it is the perfect holiday away from the hustle and bustle. It is ideal for families, couples, or even solo travellers, as there is always someone friendly to chat to. The sunrise over the sea is breathtaking, with tree lined mountains all around, the many birds and crickets adding to the peaceful tone… heaven on earth ❤️

So nice to back and great to see a familiar face at the bar, Maria is so welcoming. A great relaxed atmosphere.

Would recommend to any age the best holidays ever, been 6 times already feels like home marie and staff so friendly and welcoming.

The structure is our holiday not qualified, obsolete, the staff (2 ERW. + 3 Ki. ) in June 2015 was very pleasant and quiet. We had the pool almost exclusively for us. The apartments are cleaned diligently. The lowest is the same the Küche… Immer and after a week you know what not to eat. I would call the price / performance ratio as "interesting".

13 days, in June 2014, have stayed at this lovely hotel.
A warm welcome, attention at all times on the part of all the staff that bends in 4 for you to be nice.
Special attention to Maria for these traditional dishes, like at home.
We had a junior suite, the room is spacious, however we were pleasantly surprised by the size and equipment of the main room: 2 beds in 90 that serve as benches day, a table with 4 chairs, a kitchen area with all appliances (coffee maker, Toaster, microwave, …) and room to move around! The must, the private terrace with small table and chairs for breakfast.
We had not taken 1/2 pension but the snack / pool restaurant has largely contented us, more the buffet at will is available for €10 per person.
If you are looking for a family friendly hotel, very clean, away from the crowd I recommend Bella Vista.
NB: the hotel following the Hill, do not be afraid to go up a few steps, but higher you climb over the place deserves its name: the Bay view is simply beautiful.
Room Tip: If you have problems with stairs, ask to be staying down.
