It is an amazing hotel. It makes you to come back. It has everything you need: elegant, but simple, intimate and relaxing atmosphere, superb design, very, but very clean, the best location — close to the beach, to the wonderful beach bars and restaurants, bus station and shops, but still on a beautiful and calm street, enough not to hear bad music or see cheap lights. The dinners are super delicious and various. And the staff, well I was impressed. All are great people from the reception to the restaurant and cleaning. They offer top quality service. They are really nice, helpful, easy to talk to and offer a lot. Thank you, Mari Kristin!

To the beach about 1min. City also. Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Food is also delicious.

Everything is perfect, the sea-30 sec, the street-30 seconds, the hotel is clean and updated, not enough only music by the pool.

Location The Sea is nearby! Great dinners. Recommend!

We've just spent our honeymoon in this lovely hotel. We had a room in the newly renovated part of the hotel, bright and friendly, prettily decorated if a bit small. Situated in the middle of Hersonnisos, you have the beach and the sprawling shopping mile right at the front door. The public areas of the hotel are all held in light colours and feel very inviting. The breakfast and dinner buffets aren't excellent but there's always something for everyone and the food is well prepared and nicely presented. I particularly liked the local salads, cheeses and yoghurts. This all said, I think what makes Mari Kristin outstanding are the friendly and helfpul staff. Whether the ladies at reception, or the waiters in the resaurant, you are always made to feel special and personal conversations tend to ensue. You feel that if you stay more than a week, you'll be accepted as part of the family. :) We were at the Mari Kristin in May. We understand that the town itself is quite the party destination during the high season (albeit very attractive and inviting), but if you go out of season, you will enjoy a lovely and peacefull stay in the friendliest athmosphere I can imagine.

The staff was friendly, the new room after renovation was wonderful. Everyday changed towells, all clean. Big comfortable bed. Sea view. Meal everyday something new and delicious.

Very lovely hotel. Situated in the middle of Hersonnisos, very good location, close to the beach. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, there was always something for everyone. Very, very friendly and helpful staff!

The hotel itself is very small, and has no territory except a small pool. The staff cleaned our room every day, towels were changed once in two days. I'm very satisfied with the cleaning. Breakfasts and dinners included traditional greek foods, and even though the choice of the dishes was not very wide, the food was very tasty! The staff is very polite, mainly speaks english and german. Even though we booked a standard room, the personal was so kind and gave us the sea view. The only problem with this room is that there is a building between the hotel and sea (check my photos). On my birthday they gave me a Crete wine in a beautiful bottle. Overall, I would totally recommend this hotel.

Good hotel in Hersonissos on the Greek isle Crete. Rooms little bit too small, but with lovely furnishing. Nice service, good food (fresh, varied). Swimming pool very small. No direct entrance to the sea.

We stayed at Mari Kristin in the second half of may 2016. The hotel has been renovated recently, although not in its entirety. They assigned us 409 room, 5 bedrooms on the top floor. The room had 3 beds, a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs, air conditioning, small flat TV, and a refrigerator. The shower was very small and with low water pressure. Not us gave shampoo or gel in shower. The beds are of a decent quality, slightly hard. Pillows, could be improved. The room was quiet, no excessive noise, but with a background noise of washing machines running (probably from the hotel). The worst thing about the room was, without doubt, curtains that let the morning light through in excess (from 06:00…). Proper cleaning, without fanfare. We believe that this room will be overhauled soon, like the rest of the hotel.
The staff is generally dry; little next, mere administrative. One of the waiters, Mikhail, deserves special mention for its warmth, kindness and excellent service. The best of the hotel. Also remarkable the fact that prepare us a dish of salad to our late arrival (midnight), a nice gesture that it is thankful.
Buffet service is suitable. Traditional Greek food is served. The variety from one day to another is correct, though not all days was at the same level. General cooking with enough salt, at least for our taste. Half board includes breakfast and dinner, but not dinner drinks. We recommend to try their house wine (jug 0, 5 lt for less than €4).
