Very good. Clean. High room standard. Excellent breakfast.

A good hotel in a very good location. Very courteous staff. The food is quite good, but in the evening buffet the labels on the salads (you have to guess or taste) and the variety are missing. Some of the rooms are a bit old. Some carpets would have to be renewed. The bathroom was generous.

The hotel is located directly opposite Porta Nigra at breakfast a great sight. The staff are friendly with questions they are open-minded and are with advice and deeds to help one. I can recommend the hotel further.

We bought tickets for a poetry slam in the Menger Hof. Great.

Convenient location, large parking (for a fee), friendly reception, spacious, quiet, well-kept rooms, comfortable bed, bar and nice restaurant with attentive service and reasonable prices, very decent breakfast, small casino in the house, Inexpensive. Was happy with everything and would be happy to come back at the next opportunity.

The hotel is very good located nearby the Porta Nigra, it just takes a few footsteps to reach the city centre of Trier. The room was quite large and comfortable. The bed was large, too. But very uncomfortable to lie in. The mattress was too soft and as we had had a double bed it were two normal sized mattresses so there was a bad gap, that wasn't cosy. The bathroom was large and clean, too. It came with a bath tub and there was the next problem: when I wanted to have a shower in the morning there was less and less water pouring out, so it took quite a long time to get wet and then to get the soap off my body. Before my friend stepped into the shower, we called for the house technician and he could fix it. That is to say, it's ok, that might happen once. But the next morning it was the same all over again. There's a nice restaurant and bar, but wenn didn't eat there so I can't give a recommendation for it.

Beautifully located directly at the Porta nigra. The rooms are well maintained. I was here at the meeting. The food was very varied and tastey really good. The staff responded quickly to all requests during the seminar. Can only recommend it to anyone.

Very good location in Trier, right on the Porta nigra. Staff is super friendly, even if you arrive at untypical times (due to business trip), I am very pleased building a bit older but everything clean.

You can still feel a little the age of the house. The stay is still pleasant. The room is clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, the breakfast very rich and good.

Hotel restaurant is beautiful, and the hotel is conveniently close to everything there is to see in Trier! Right across the street there is a castle!

A simple overnight stay at the last minute lady at the front was not very accomodating for my 4 person family.

My wife and I went there for dinner and a lot of the tables were reserved for the locals. We felt very uncomfortable when one of the locals made humiliating remarks to the waitress about what I, and American, had ordered. I also noticed the lady sitting in back of my wife looking her up and down in a disgusting fashion. It is evident that the Nazis mentality is still alive and well in Trier Germany.

Nice location, very friendly staff, big and comfortable rooms. Perfect location facing Porta Nigra, for those who are interested in these kinda things. The hallways and especially the elevators would need a modernization, though, but all in all very pleasant stay.

The towels smell there. As I have drawn attention to the Lord of the information on it, he said, I could take my yes another"in our room the cars past broke right all the time. The fumes came in to the room. We had to pay for parking, that unfortunately only one told us when we went. We were allowed to pay also for the sauna. But for the garbage stink in the parking lot not. Breakfast is served in the other building, I had to run through the cold. Disappointed we went. If you want to spoil the stay in Germany's oldest city, then here is the place.

I am often in this Hotel, since I work in Luxembourg have to do. Granted, the Hotel is not very fresh (not writing or scuffed) with respect to Design and facilities. BUT, everything is very clean, the Service is excellent, the Breakfast buffet is diverse, and the beds have a good quality (both in the Privilege rooms). Central and also with a view of the Porta does not work. Overall, highly recommended and very nice Service (from reception to Breakfast) weighs loose on that not everything is new.

Great Hotel in close proximity to many area attractions, the price-to-performance ratio is absolutely fine, nice staff, facilities good average for large rooms, Breakfast buffet at its Finest. Even a late check-out was not calculated — we come again at any time.

Worn, smelly bed — and even bathroom, heat retention. Location is not everything for a hotel. Cushions are too thick. Definitely not four star standard. Restaurant is acceptable, though a bit over-salted.

Overall very good Hotel for Trier. Very beautiful view of the Porta Nigra.
