Nice hotel, super location breakfast super, staff friendly and very helpful. Always like to.

Not too fancy but awesomely lovely! Loved it.

They were such great hosts! We loved our stay there. We would go back again and again. The beds were great. My son had been asking for chocolate milk in the mornings and they didn't have any… she went to the supermarket to get my son chocolate milk on her time off! We did not expect that. It is the best place we have ever stayed! They were incredible!

At the banks a delicious snack at the main-picknicker food truck. Then take a short walk or enjoy the weather in the sun loungers. Delicious food and drink go and then off to the room from the jewelry box.

The four stars refer exclusively to the building, not to the hotel and cafe located therein and its services. If this review helps one or the other to become a customer, it would be a pleasant and non-undesirable side effect. The narrow three-storey timbered house is captivated by rounded truss beams. It is characterized by the increasing Überkragung of the upper floors. According to a theory, basic taxes were levied on the ground floor of the house in the Middle Ages. The larger upper floors therefore probably offered a certain amount of savings. The building is a very nice photo motif and perhaps also a good tip to stay or stop.

Amazing… location you can not beat. Parking is a massive problem and expensive but otherwise lovely.

Schoene's brave house with everything in the room you need. Friendly staff and sufficient breakfast. Unfortunately no gastronomy operation. But there are plenty of options in the immediate vicinity. Because of the steep stairs less suitable for frail people. For families with children very good. My bed was very comfortable.

Perfect for us as a family with 3 children.
Location right in the centre of Miltenberg.
Rooms clean and tidy.
Matrazen very well and new.
Breakfast buffet rich and fresh.
But what we attach the greatest importance to: Friendliness and service are writ large here and children are welcome.
Absolutely recommended.

Anyone who likes to stay in a 500 year old building is right here. The house still has a lot of flair from then, especially the breakfast room. Single room tiny, already very accustomed.

Good value for money, breakfast and good service.

Beautiful old timbered house in the old town. The negative was that there are also weekdays not before 08:00 breakfast and that the rooms heat up very strongly at warm outside temperatures, but there is not even a fan let alone air conditioning. If you are too warm to sleep at 28 degrees or more, there is no fun in summer…

General: I can't report anything negative here. Very friendly and clean managed hotel.
Rooms: Very clean.
Breakfast: Awesome, far more than you need.

Stunning breakfast in a really nice building.
Also, that the parking is not right outside the door, we did not find bad.
The rooms are really nicely decorated and offer ample space. Our bathroom, however, could have been upgraded to something. There were no towel racks, for example, and the tiles had already come out a little in the years.
Also with the heating and the windows we were not entirely happy in our ground floor room, but have found the right temperature sometime.
The location is perfect to explore the old town or to start a hike.
Next time I'm in the beautiful Miltenberg, I'm sure I'll be back in the jewelry box.

The hotel was beautiful! Our room was incredible, my family loved it! The hostess was great to us. On one of the mornings at breakfast my son wanted chocolate milk. They didn't have any. So on our last day the hostess came with a chocolate milk container for my son. She went to the store on her time off and bought it for him. Me and my wife thought it was very sweet that she would go out of her way for our son. I would recommend the jewelry box to everyone!

I used to be infatuated with this house for many years since I first saw it as a kid on a Herder encyclopedia back in the mid 70's. Back then the timberframing, the bay windows, and the high pitched roof looked like a fairytale mansion filled mystery and kiddie adventure. As I grew up I always wondered about it and someday wanted to visit. Nevertheless, 40 years later I am disappointed to see that the interiors are not historically correct for everything is modern looking and completely unrelated to the exteriors. It may be a nice hotel but the business demands totally killed the magic of the place!
