The air conditioning didn't work, the hall was way too noisy, and the location was near farmland that stunk up the room when we opened the windows. When we flushed the toilet, water would flood out of the bottom and contribute to the smell. Despite that, the service was very kind and the breakfast was okay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have awarded this hotel only 2 stars due to the dated furniture and equipment. The Ac unit in room sounded like a ship's engine and looked like it was from the 80s. The hotel building also looked a little sad. The breakfast was quite expensive for what was offered. On site parking is offered at 8€ per night, this is acceptable.

I wanted to get directions and help regarding getting around the city. The staff was very helpful and kind to help a lot. They speak both English and German which is helpful to international tourists. I would visit the hotel next time I'm in Ludwigshafen.

The hotel is clean but all old. The food is not good.

The hotel looks somewhat old fashioned, but great breakfast and spacious beds in the room. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the bridge from the window. In the room air conditioner some old, but except for the dust at work he did not manifest itself-the open window was more efficient. There was no mini bar in the room. Wi-Fi worked confidently.

It was a very nice Hotel.

Price a please the rooms for 90 euro a no go no 40 euro worth (stains him bath, shower and and and) no shower but nee bathtub with curtain, then a shower, no water for drinking (to welcome in the room) for 90 euro very weak.

Centrally reachable by all means of transport bicycle car bus trams for BASF visitors ideal!

After 3 weeks of business stay, the following conclusion: Positive: own parking lot, even with underground garage, quite central location and good transport connections. Wi-Fi and relatively good TV sets available. Sauna and pool are free of charge.
Negative: e. G. Unfriendly and unmotivated staff, the food is good and more or less sufficient but the 17 euro per meal in no case worth it. The rooms and generally the hotel have come out clearly in the years, (which is basically nothing bad, that exudes its own charm) but the mattresses are located by, sockets are very sparse, in the bathroom there is none, and as heating there are electric heaters, Because the heating system obviously does not work. The WLAN is mostly a matter of luck, if you come in at all, it is completely overloaded.
The most terrible thing is that the sauna is in a desolate condition. I am unfortunately overthrown by the top bank next to the furnace, because the bank has given in. One week after the notification at the reception, nothing was changed. The wooden benches generally leave a lot of stains on the bath towels.

The rooms and generally the hotel have clearly come into the years, (which is basically nothing bad, that sprays its own charm) but the mattresses are permeated, sockets are sparse, in the bathroom there are none at all, and as heating there are electric heaters, since the heating system obviously does not work.
The most horrible thing is that the sauna is in a desolate state. Unfortunately, I fell from the top bank next to the oven down because the bank gave in. 1 week after the notification to the reception, nothing has been changed. The wooden benches generally leave quite spots on the bath towels.

I'm not going there anymore. The swimming pool was not clean. The bed was uncomfortable. The outside appearance is much better than the hotel interior.

Most rooms (3th floor and up) need a facelift. It's like youre in de 70ties. However, the hotel personal is friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about them.

Something in the years. Bar is quite acceptable. Something off the shot. Not necessarily the typical spa hotel;) For a business stay in order.

Not really 4 star hotel. Rooms are large, but whole hotel need restauration. Too pricey for the offering.

Centrally located directly at the central station, few meters on foot. In the foyer there is a vending machine and a display case with souvenirs, mainly for children. Meetings can be held there. Twice a week the pool is provided for a swimming school where children can learn how to swim.

This is the only 4 star ranking hotel available in LU. But in terms of hospitality they are not even 1 star. Neither the rooms are so great nor the cleaning. Also you need to followup for cleaning your room everyday, its better to stay in a hostel than spending so much in this hotel. I stayed there for 20 days for a business trip and choosing this hotel based on just star ranking was the worst decision I made. Try to go for some other hotel is my recommendation.

Dirty, outdated, and rude staff. Avoid this place — it feels like it hasn’t been updated (or cleaned! ) since the 1970s. Well, maybe it’s been cleaned a bit, but the carpets and sinks are flithy (see my photos) The commons areas are decent and it’s nice that it has a pool, but it feels like a hotel that needs A LOT of work to bring it up to modern standards. The location is a bit strange too — it sits across from a train station in the middle of what appears to be a deserted business park — very industrial feeling and not very friendly (though the pizza place/diner across the street is actually reasonably good). Also, the staff refuses to turn on the A/C, even when there are signs in the room asking you to call down to the front desk if you want it on — absurd!

Helpful, friendly staff. Nice bar and public areas but only air conditioning in the rooms.

Hotel to avoid absolutely when it is hot, complete absence of air conditioning, the assigned stars are not real I would say maximum a 2, stars.

Breakfast are incredible! I loved them as well as the staff attention. It's a great place. However the decoration for the rooms is a bit old-fashioned.

The food was great and the sizes of rooms were spacious. The beds were very comfortable.

I'd rather give this hotel 3.5stars, but 3 or 4 are my only choices and regretfully in that case 3 seems more appropriate — let me explain. The hotel is right next to Ludwigshafen train station, which means the location is far from ideal. The hotel rooms are in need for updating — they aren't terrible, but they feel dated. On the brighter side of hotel reviews, the hotel offers a very decent breakfast, guaranteeing a good start into your day. All in all, not a terrible choice, but not a great one either. Kind of middle of the road.

Hotel a bit old, needs a "refreshed"! For the rest pretty standard, cleanliness and service ok. Breakfast is pretty standard. A pub/restaurant in the lobby nice enough.

I was on new year's eve for the second time with a tour group in this Hotel and I would like on behalf of all travellers once again like to thank you for the great Service, the good food, and the friendly staff. I'm already looking forward to a reunion and I'm happy again.

Hotel entspricht dem Stadtbild — grundsätzlich sind die Zimmer sauber, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Frühstück ist gut. Die Einrichtung und die Zimmer haben aber eine Grundsanierung nötig. Die Teppiche sind alt und befleckt und die Tapeten lösen sich an mehreren Stellen aufgrund von Feuchtigkeit. Die Einrichtung scheint noch vom Eröffnungstag zu sein. Das entspricht nicht meiner Vorstellung eines 4-Sterne Hotels. Bei günstigerem Preis kann ich über solche Dinge hinweg sehen. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier aufgrund der Einrichtung nicht und könnte definitiv besser sein.

Last Friday we had for a Seminar at your premises booked. Everything was well organized. Many, many thanks for the great food and the great Service. The lady who allotted to us was that has us spoiled and surprised, so that the Seminar is also for the reason, simply unforgettable was nice. THANK you The Hotel is also just good, good transport links, directly at the train station in Ludwigshafen.

Positive: Central location and a good Breakfast and dinner (two stars) Negative: the first room is unacceptable! Ventilation (very old) could not regulate (uncomfortably hot in the room), window handle broken/ not open possible, the bed sags, sink dirty, mold in the shower, generally very dusty. Have to another room, there were better, but also some shortcomings. Staff was very unfriendly in case of complaints. Hotel is very old and run-down, price-performance ratio outrageously (140€ regular). It will be in spite of the excessive prices no renovation and refurbishment works carried out. Never again.

Great staff without exception, restaurant very good value for money, comfortable rooms. Air conditioning deserves d "being remade.

Nice hotel, centrally located, good transport links, nice big rooms, good mattresses, clean bathroom, coffee machine in the room, class breakfast, cosy bar, small terrace, very friendly and competent staff.

Just stayed in this Hotel and there are some things seriously wrong. Don’t get me wrong, room and beds were clean. However, the water was not adjustable to a specific temperature and oscillated from too hot to cold, very annoying when taking a shower. Don’t bother about construction work (at least in summer) you won’t hear anything because of the “air-condition” it makes incredible noise but does not cool this overheated establishment (not only in the rooms). You can’t turn it off either as the windows cannot be opened and there is no other means of fresh air supply. Hot and noisy at night, not a combination I particularly like. I found the hotel through the web that showed an offer of 70 Euros a night, called to book 2 nights and confirmed the price twice via mobile phone (big mistake – my fault I know! ). Just learned at the check-out that it was 140 Euros a night, complaining did not help at all. Anyway – won’t stay there ever again and if you are smart you may think twice too.

Best Western Hotel Ludwigshafen is ideally located opposite the train station, which has liked us very much as a frequent traveler. After an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant, we could make a long stroll in the pedestrian street adjacent to the hotel. The room was big, comfortable and clean. After a hearty breakfast at the extensive breakfast buffet, we had to continue unfortunately our journey. There were two wonderful days at the best Western Hotel Ludwigshafen. For this we would like to thank warmly for all the friendly and helpful staff. On our next trip we take back station in this hotel.

Hotel is very centrally situated at the station what every time is a big advantage for us! To reach the downtown within walking distance in a few minutes. The rooms are large and comfortable equipped, swimming pool and sauna are also available. Particularly striking is the very warm and friendly tone of the staff and the great service.

Not a good location for tourists. Air wasn't working and lots of construction nearby during our stay.

The location of the hotel is 1a. Directly at the main train station. However, it is to hear little from street noise. The hotel's swimming pool is absolutely recommended. In a clean and great condition. You get free loan from a bathrobe (on demand). The room was in a clean condition. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and there is something for every taste. All in all, came the hotel in the year. In the hotel there are a seemingly "2 class society". It is no employees you just lost. Such as will employees (indicated by an orange colored keyholder) serves the coffee at the breakfast table. All other guests must get the coffee itself. The noise level, the as air conditioning cloaked heating system in the room is very noisy. Even when the TV is switched on, the "air conditioning" is very loud to hear. Better you leave you out. Bottom line, I can not recommend this hotel.
