Lovely room with some space. The place is nice and you get everything you need in your room. I really enjoyed my stay. For Pokemon Go players : there is many pokemon gyms around the hotel :)

I had three days of training there. Food and drink was great and plentiful. Training rooms were large but not as optimally ventilated with fresh ventilated. Staff was more than friendly and accommodating. Come back.

A lovely hotel! Beds are huge. It is extremely clean and staff are so friendly. Really nice toiletries. Currywurst was delicious!

Modern 4-Star hotel with nicely decorated public areas and rooms. Breakfast buffet was phenomenal and the service outstanding! Parking during events will be extremely difficult, but at other times very good.

Must have been a great hotel once, now a bit run down. Bathroom had the tiniest specks of mold on the ceiling, and the sink creaked when you put any weight on it. The smell was one of cleaning solutions layered over years of use, sort of musky. The staff was impeccable to a fault, very friendly and efficient. Linens and towels were clean and crisp. Overall a nice stay. Beware of buying breakfast there, it costs 20 Euros…

The Room was just fine. It wasn't clean, but big and comfortable. The Star deserves the Hotel only through Breakfast. The two Staff at the Reception were neither friendly nor competent.

Hotel is very well maintained. We felt immediately welcome at the reception. Rooms very spacious. Good beds clean bath. Just as you expect. Breakfast buffet plentiful and very tasty. We were all smiles.

Perfect for business trips… Only negative is that there's no metro station close by… So you always need to call a taxi.

Very unfriendly reception of the employee, no trace of empathy. Not even our statement about the recent tragic death in our family elicited an appropriate, appropriate remark. In no case is this company to be recommended.

Nice hotel and centrally located. The rooms are very clean and well maintained, albeit (to my liking) somewhat dated. The breakfast was quite clear but still tasty. Wi-Fi is free in the "slow" version, otherwise it is chargeable. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I can recommend this hotel. Always happy.

Nowadays, when internet it's a must, there are still hotels in Germany charging a fee to get you online, while you're in your room. This is one of those hotels. There are free parking spots around the hotel, but most of the time it's hard to find a spot, due to the residential area next to the hotel. Parking in the garage costs 1EUR/hr, or 10EUR/day if you're using it for more than 10 hours. Front desk staff is very friendly. Breakfast is fabulous.

Very nice room, and service. The restaurant is really good. Nice break fast also 5* is the least.

We were 2017 at Starlightexpress and descended to this hotel.
We liked it very much.
Breakfast buffet very good selection, even champagne was there.
The rooms very nice and cozy.
The bar we also visited and found the service and the cocktails very good.
In the afternoon we also finished a table despite the closed terrace.
If we come to Bochum again, we will be happy to stay here again.

Good room, let down a little by aging bathroom fittings. Expensive breakfast. Car park is great but having to pay daily, requiring queuing with people checking out, is tedious.

I only attended a meeting for a few hours, but it was very nicely furnished and good food.

It was good, so far. Bar was pleasant with good drinks, coctails and service. Breakfast plentiful and had choice. Suite was very nice. Friendly staff and very clean the whole house.

Nice hotel, modern rooms and delicious food.
Were here for the musical. And were around to peace. Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated in a modern and harmonious style.

The hotel is super located and the service very friendly. The bar can be recommended and the breakfast is also good. The décor is a bit older and what has probably annoyed that the Wi-Fi is not free (only in the lobby). In 2018, this is simply no longer contemporary.

We spent 2 weeks with these lovely people who call this hotel their job. They make it look easy and made us feel like home during our visit with our daughter. We WILL be back!

This is an older generation Renaissance in need of an update. Carpets in the rooms, worn furniture, etc. Breakfast was ok, service subpar. In my oppinion charging 5 Euros for a bottle of water, where it is complimentary at othe Renaissance Hotels worldwide, is a ripoff. There is plenty of room for improvement…

Alles sehr modern gehalten und es war sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Kurt und knapp es lohnt sich dieses Hotel zu besuchen bzw zu buchen.

The Renaissance Hotel Bochum is very good. Clean, tidy and staff courteous. You can recommend well.

Were just here in early October. Nice hotel, even if it is not the highlight from the outside. Inside you have a good impression. Very well maintained, nice and attentive staff. Very close to the Starlight Express Theatre, about 5 min. Walk. It is about 15 minutes walk to the centre of Bochum. The breakfast buffet is also delicious.

was allowed to meet the boss at that time who was anything but nice to his staff. For me, it was pure slave-driving as he was using them. You could notice how he left out his frustration and anger to the staff because there was a car parked wrong. I hate that when employees are treated like this. The location is very noisy as it is opposite the stadium and the main road and you have to pay for everything extra also for the WLAN. But I will not enter this hotel anymore thanks to this absolutely unsympathetic hotel manager. There are far more beautiful Renaissance hotels than this.

Pleasant staff and very peaceful rooms.

Would be even better if Wi-Fi was complimentary. A hot water kettle in the room for complimentary coffee or tea should be standard. Otherwise the staff were helpful and the room was clean and comfortable.

Very nice Hotel in the heart of the ruhrarea — bar is very good with a nice selection of drinks. Rooms are clean. But the bathtub instead of a shower is a little bit annoying.

A cozy place to stay in… but the free internet is only available in public areas…

Right next to the football stadium and starlight express. Not far from the motorway.

No option to include breakfast during the reservation process, so that it may be charged each and every morning. The Wi-Fi connection in the room is throttled to dial up speeds, so that one has to pay extra for 24h in order to view a single email (I would get faster access when stepping outside and connecting to the city's public Wi-Fi, not kidding). The gym and sauna is a joke really for a hotel in this price range.

Great hotel, good fitness and sauna area and (as we were) very quiet location with good insulation and heavy doors.
The mattresses were super good.
Breakfast for € 19, – — we found exaggerated and are to the next Baker (Linge man, about 500 m, Cadolzer str. Top! ) run.

Free Wi-Fi is too slow and restaurant is expensive. Rooms are nice.

We were a total of three days over new year's eve in this Hotel. The staff is very friendly. We had a nice bed. Free Wi-Fi is only available in the ground floor, with a very low speed. In-room Internet is VERY EXPENSIVE. Breakfast was in order. In the Wellness area, you pay 5 euros for a Bathrobe (cleaning fee). A fitness room is rather not so good.

It's ok. Nothing special. Would it better if the Wi-Fi were free. Hefty fee ontop of the room price.

Maybe You know the filling when You came to expensive restaurant and have to pay extra for toilet — the same story. Hotel is not cheap one and from some sides it is worth the price — rooms are perfect — quiet and equiped with comfortable beds, but that is all what You get for the price — all (and I mean ALL) other amenties are extra paid. Internet, BREAKFAST!, outside parking (OK, thats is quite common but mostly for underground), and even mineral water in room for small, tinny 5 Euro.

NO stars! I am there most likely there from the staff robbed. My stay is one year ago. I have my watch and a silver chain in the bathroom forgotten. The clock has reappeared but the chain remains disappeared. The staff was anything but friendly. The first call on my part, I was informed that I my stuff is probably somewhere at home would. At the second call on my part, I was told that the guest after me, the chain, plugged in could have (quite strange, where was the Houskeeping and where the headmistress? ). At the third call, on my part, I was with the words, "tough luck" ditched. When I am picked up, I was kind hinterhergerufen "Hopefully until next Time. "All of this should surely be a joke. Supposedly my case up to the management as we know it, but why then did up until today, no compensation and no apology. Too bad it went that way.

A Hotel, which is a high level of Service and friendliness for guests of the middle class. Here is also a guest does not have a Rolex as a customer of the Upperclass operated. The front Desk staff are very friendly and always have a tip for you. The rooms are bright and with all of the Standards. The lavish Breakfast buffet, was also at the second visit, of excellent quality.

Somewhat aging hotel is perfectly located for city breaks. The downtown is located just 15 minutes walk from the hotel, Starlight Express 7Gehminuten (self-professed measured). One mango the small bathroom with the above sanitary ware (ceramic in the WC torn, just not look), the best years behind the tiles also have (tile broken under the sink), you can see but only if you must bend over the guest. The description of the bathroom is valid only for the room 207, I want to generalize I n c h t.
