Basically from the price / performance ratio actually always quite good. This time, however, it is a very small room and the mattresses are real on. Therefore only 3 stars.

Nice hostel in a great location. I don't recommend the breakfast. They were out of orange juice and the toaster didn't work.

Perfect location, but the hotel is very small.

Less of choice for breakfast and not enough quantity. Small elevator. Reception not on counter all the time. Good bathroom.

Were very nice premises. Staff very polite, auxiliary and had humour. Definitely nothing to complain about for an overnight stay.

The location is perfect. Short footpaths to the cathedral, the banks of the Rhine and the pedestrian zone. Dured to check in earlier. The room was tiny and lacks a wardrobe. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast buffet as always rich and great. For short trips, we always like to check into the A & O's. My girlfriends and I were rather skeptical at the beginning of the journey and didn't expect much for the cheap price. But our fears are totally unfounded. Location's hostels is top. Only few meters to the DOM/HBF. Staff was very friendly. We were even more likely to go to the room. The rooms (2 family rooms for 4 people each) were small but very clean. With TV and WLAN. Small but fine bathroom. Even with shower shampoo/gel, hair dryer and disposable tooth cups. We liked the breakfast. Choice of bread and buns was great. Sausage and cheese were manageable but fresh! Vending machine with O and apple juice and one for coffee and cocoa. The staff, who took care of the breakfast, immediately refilled everything. Price — performance is great in this hostel! Very happy to be back!

The location is great for a getaway, is very good for a pub stroll through the old town of Cologne. The breakfast is O. K, the rooms are very small and simply furnished.

Somewhat rundown hotel, but to stay completely adequate and reasonably priced. Breakfast costs Extra (€7). Stayed 2 nights there.

Location very strategic in the centre of city n near to the station. But room are very small. Reception knowledge not good. When we ask about AC she dont know. Not explain all things well.

Small not very clean rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We only paid half the price as an early bird, then it is OK, but at the regular price you get something better for your money. The location is quite good.

Short walk to Cathedral and train station. Room clean but a bit small. Staff were helpful and nice.

The hotel is well, the best thing you have without a doubt is its location because it is a couple of minutes from the cathedral and the Royal Street where all the shops are. The room is small and the beds are not very comfortable but passable, I do not put more note because note that they did not make the bed only folded the quilt and did not sweep the room. It has a hairdryer and radiators. In short for a couple of days is fine.

The location was in itself really top, very central and just a one minute walk from the Duomo.
Unfortunately, this was also the only positive thing about the hotel. The young staff were all not very friendly — one is never greeted, partially scrolling the only absent at the PC on Facebook. The rooms were extremely small. Room service did not seem to have any, beds were not made. The door of the shower was loose, on a sheets were black spots.
The walls and the doors are very thin, so you can hear everything from the other guests. From Saturday to Sunday, a young couple at 5 o'clock at night apparently made a small party in the hallway — despite several complaints, they haven't stopped for half an hour. When we complained the next day at the front desk it was just "it was Saturday, there comes something like this before".

Comfortable private double room and good prices if booked in advance. Close to the Dom, to Hauptbahnhof, etc. Can't have a better location to stay in Köln.

Great location. You can't get better. Really close to the Dom and the Christmas Market. The room was clean, however we could hear our neighbour snoring.

The room was clean, and modern with flat screen and Wi-Fi. I would have given 5 stars if there had been 1 table with chairs and a shelf for the suitcases in it, as in the other A & O hotels, but in this room the place simply lacked. What a pity! Otherwise everything was great. The breakfast was delicious and varied, the staff competent and very friendly. To Nicholas there was chocolate on the night box!

Affordable. Not the newest of buildings and it shows, but perfectly alright for a night or two when traveling on a tight budget.

For one night adequate, single rooms are very small. All clean and very centrally located. Parking is not known to me.

Very central. Perfect for a short visit to Cologne. Very small compared to other houses of A & O. Right cozy.

The rented room (for 2 rooms) was far too small. You couldn't even park or open two suitcases. According to demand, as can be the case, a room was organized, which was also suitable for 2 people and luggage. However, we had to organize towels ourselves, as they were probably forgotten. Value for money is very poor. If we decide again for an A & O hotel in Cologne, we will definitely take that in Neumarkt. No one could be reached under the service hotline issued by staff either.

Narrow rooms. No solid walls. You can hear you neighbours. Not very friendly reception.

Very small rooms, smell tobaco, but great ubication.

I had a clean single bedroom with daily housekeeping. In the morning there was no water pressure in the shower. The tap water was between lukewarm and hot, cold was not an option. The breakfast looked like a standard hostel breakfast. I choose to have breakfast in town. Especially because the hostel is located directly in the center.

A hotel with a very good location in the city of Colonia.

Great location, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, and friendly service. What more could you want? This is the third time I have had the good fortune of staying at A&O Kiln Dom, and I will most certainly continue to do so for my future visits to the wonderful city of Cologne.

One of the latest church in the world after Rome. Such a magnificient structure.

Location is great. On request we have received a super Parkmöglichleit recommended. Staff is mostly competent and friendly. Rooms were OK. But like again.

Cologne Hotel.

Honestly, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my whole life. The receptionist wasn't nice, the room was incredibly small, the bed was a catastrophe, it wasn't even very clean, no remote for the TV, the curtain didn't cover the window completely and I had the A&O light sing right next to my window, so it wasn't dark for the whole night… I will never ever come back to this hotel and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. For that prize, there are lots of better choices.

Lovely place for enjoy, architectural place, the dom is not only the best thing to see.

Hotel and Hostel concept, can bring young children to stay here. Friendly room service.

Never again! Very small room, no TV and very nice! You can hear anything and the "smoke detector" which are attached above the bed are the worst — this "blink" every 5 seconds so that's how Flash works… I have come before me in a psychological experiment and I can sleep of course not one minute : — (: — (!
Positive — there was hot water for shower… I never expected…
Luckily, it was only one night.

My family I stayed at the A&O Koln Dom for 4 days from November 3rd to the 6th and found the manager lazy and greedy. It took writing to the corporate office for eggs to be served in the morning and we will be writing again because the whole time we were at the hostel, the room was never cleaned. When we brought it to the attention to the girl at the reception desk she responded that the manger of the A&O Koln Dom no longer cleans the room while guest are staying because it will hurt the environment. What kind of lazy bum is this guy to use the environment as an excuse not to serve the people. This manger needs to be removed from his position immediately.
