Good central location.
Reception very nice and helpful.
Cleanliness, however, leaves something to be desired.
We were the first night on the ground floor next to the elevator, until midnight very noisy. Have then got another room.
Quiet on weekends. During the week noisy because of school classes. Last night until 3 o'clock at night.

A great hostel for families. A clean, comfortable family room with bathroom. Good breakfasts in the light, airy dining room next to the reception. Very friendly and helpful staff. You can buy local train and bus tickets from the reception staff. Great location — 5 mins from the main station and within walking distance of central Berlin.

If you're looking for a cheap but acceptable ho (s) tel near the Central station, this is a *very* good choice. The surroundings are safe and there're lots of services. Very helpful staff. Ideal for families. The breakfast is a bit expensive but there're plenty of cafes in the area or in the station. Warning: no air conditioning.

Great Hostel next to the main-station! Breakfast good! All clean and friendly. Free Billard! Breakfast-Time could be longer and Wifi could be better. But at all highly recommended!

Very friendly staff. The rooms were beautiful 4-bed rooms where you thought about how best to cope in one room. The breakfast, was very tasty and more than enough choice available. I was positively surprised. Again and again like.

We stayed in the Youth Guesthouse For 5 days. The absolutely central Location of the Price and the Proximity to the Train station are perfect. The Rooms were clean and large enough for a Family.
The Breakfast was adequate and there is air up with a bit more Motivation of the Kitchen Staff.
The rest of The staff were very friendly and helpful.
If Berlin again, then only here.

Good price. Excellent location. Very close to all sightseeing and central station. All promised on website as well as photos corresponding to reality. Breakfast available for additional 5 Euro. Kind and helpfull personal. We were staying 4 person (2 adults 2 children 4/8) no complains.

The price/quality ratio (considering the location and prices in nearby hotels) is perfect. Clean. Friendly staff. Everything is very close (Central station in three minutes walk) but get ready to wade all the time among the gals and the view from under the ground (common rooms, rented not groups are located in the basement).

It has everything you'd expect and need, sure, it's not huge, but the rooms are good, the food is nice, there's a lounge with beanbags, and it's nice and close to the Hauotbahnhof.

We were a family of four for three nights in a youth guesthouse in a room with a bathroom and a separate toilet.
We slept wonderfully, everything was spotless and the people at the reception were really all very friendly and competent.
We would definitely come back!

The stay was very pleasant as the staff were very friendly and the food for a hostel was OK. Everything was modern and the rooms were nicely decorated.

Good accommodation at the level of a hostel at relatively reasonable prices. Staff very friendly, reception including bar is 24/7 staff. Many suggestions for sights and activities in Berlin. Fully handicapped accessible. Unfortunately, the water in the shower was a little too cold, but there you can see over it. All in all recommended.

Great location (5 minutes walk from Central station), decent rooms and an above average breakfast. We were here for the third time and would return at any time. Very helpful and competent team!

For a youth guesthouse It was OK, however the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired when referring. Food was OK and service, so far demandable, also fine. The negative points are absolutely justifiable with the price.

Excellent staff, room was clean and spacious. Bring earplugs in case other guests ignore quiet hours. Very convenient to train station and tours.

The location of the hotel was very good. But I will not be able to tell the same thing about the room we had 4 people in. The beds relaxed but our room was not cleaned for 3 days. Our garbage was not taken for 3 days. I think it was a question for me to not take the junk in a room where 4 people were staying. Apart from these, we thank you for your hospitality.

Central Lodging with everything you need to be with family. A binding social concept that gives an added value to the service they offer. Simple, clean accommodation. Area A bit unsafe especially at night but very close to the central station which is a huge bonus.

Me and my colleagues got bad rooms that I'd rather rate with 2 or 1 star. But it was 3 stars because the girls had good rooms.

Very nice staff, always nice and helpful, were able to give us good tips. The check in was super straightforward and fast. The public area is very nice and welcoming with a large window front. The breakfast buffet was very large and really great from the value for money (unfortunately there was no bubble). We also found great that you could play billiards and we could borrow a hair dryer. The reception is open 24 hours a day and you can buy various drinks and snacks there. Clearly 5 stars.

The area is quiet and is great because it is very well connected, 5 minutes from the central station that has metro and train.
The room is normal, two beds together and a bunk bed for the kids a round table and some stools that at night we could have dinner. The bathroom is separated by one part shower and sink by another WC and sink all inside the room.
The staff is nice.
The worst thing that you do not make the room in the 4 nights we have been.
The pain pillows and the hard mattresses.

Really nice welcoming hotel close to the central train station. Basic rooms, but clean, spacious, and also very accessible for wheelchair users (not important for me personally, but important for some people). Good sized wetroom attached to the room. Very good price as well.

I have stayed in the Guest house twice and I found it very nice place for stay in Berlin. Most importantly, staff of the Guest House is very nice and helpfull, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also very nice. Another important aspect is that location of the Guest House is very comfortable, near to Berlin main train station HBF and I could travel any important places very easily. I recommend this Guest House for any person, as well as for families who are travelling with children. Because, there are most of the rooms are convenient for group of people.

Breakfast I would think would be really good. The rooms were clean and adequate for 4 people. The bathroom is nice and also good with the toilet individually. It is centrally located and the staff is also very friendly.

Clean hostel in a strategic area of Berlin.

Hostel friendly, clean and cosy but comfort of the elementary rooms. Very good value for money.

It was a simple check in. Parking is easy. Bed is already sourced. Breakfast is halfway okay. There are games to borrow.

Fab location, clean and comfortable but rooms serviced only every 4 days! Take a padlock as there are no safes in the rooms. It's a hostel not a hotel — so be prepared to be the oldest people there if you are over 30. Lots of groups of students when we visited. Family and bike friendly, restaurants within walking distance.

Rooms are tidy and the bathroom very modern (it depends of course on which room you have). For 2 stars The breakfast was quite good.
The lobby and reception are very well maintained and everything looks cozy and modern.

This is a delightful place to stay. It's close to the train station and an easy walk to the main attractions. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and roomy, and breakfast is hearty. I will definitely stay here again.

This accomodation is like a youth hostel. The rooms are okay. There is a buffet offering a variety of food for meal. You have to bring towels on your own or pay at the reception to rent them.

We've been a group of 12, 2 Germans, 10 Panamesians.
Awesome value for money, very friendly and helpful staff, very central and yet calm area. For groups that have to have a look on the money it could not have a fairer deal than here!

The only good thing to say is that it's clean. Otherwise I really don't have anything positive to say. Problems checking in, checking out, breakfast buffet made no sense and no warm water in the shower. A Warm shower is sort of a major thing for me in the morning! Next time I need to stay in Berlin I'll stay somewhere else.

One of the first things you'll notice when staying here is that this hostel is run by the evangelical Stadtmission. This manifests through an evangelical flyer on your pillow when you arrive, a Bible in every room and a hotspot named godspot, but nothing bothersome or hostile to atheists. It was peculiar but not unpleasant. The rooms are… Well basic simple hostel rooms really. The bed is a bit hard for my liking (my back hurt a little bit for about 10 seconds each morning) and there is only one power outlet per 6-person room, but those are really my only complaints. You make your own bed but that's probably standard for hostels. The shared facilities are decent and were easily numerous enough for what I think was about a half-filled hostel. There's shampoo/soap in the showers which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast is pretty good, and you can decide on the morning itself whether you opt into (and pay for) breakfast. At just €20/night (excluding breakfast) I can recommend this place as long as you don't have a bad back. Bring a power splitter if you want to charge your phone!

A good place to stay while visiting Berlin for a vacation with family. The place located in a perfect location. It is near to Berlin Central Station.

Location great and decent breakfast. They did have construction which affected water in the building for 24 hours. Basic shelter in decent part of town.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was very good. The room is basic but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a large variety to choose from.

Girlfriend would be robbed it was scrambled in bags the staff is well could be better the rooms are terrible that was my first and last visit and expensive to it too.

Not unexpectedly from a "Jugendgästehaus" there were many groups of school-children at different ages causing different amounts of noise at different times (sometimes also in the evening). But this was acceptable. Doors in the building slam shut very loudly and it is difficult to prevent, cause my young children to have difficulties to sleep. The breakfast was very good. The service most of the time as well. When however I asked to borrow a bottle opener for a drink I was going to enjoy in my room, the staff was very rude. I think it was an exception but it did put a negative touch to my otherwise positive experience.

Damn rude staff! The reception has to moaned students and threatened immediately with rough flight without any conspicuous behaviour. Rooms are not clean: the toilet was not rinsed off when entering the room and there are hairs on the bed. The window can be partially not connected…

Very professional! I was staying briefly while traveling, despite not being completely fluent with German the staff was very accommodating and kind.

As local residents, I say, only loud, dirty… especially on weekends. Unreasonable conditions.

The building looks nice and is very close to the center of Berlin, therefore you can get to the sights very quickly. The rooms are clean and small, but it was okay for the paid price. The food wasn't especially tasty but neither it was bad. The cafeteria looks nice and modern. All in all, I'd only recommend this place for short stays, when you don't plan to spend much time in your room. It's nice for sleeping and eating, just the essentials but nothing more.

Good value for money in the heart of Berlin. Super friendly staff. Rooms basic but clean! Tasty breakfast, coffee tastes. But really, that's ok.
Can I only recommend anyone looking for a cheap overnight stay without great pretensions.

CENTRAL Walking distance to DB Train Centralstation and S BAHN.

As local residents, can I use the horrible noise and noise, caused by these "Visitors" no longer endure. It's a pity what happened to my neighborhood.

We were very satisfied with our stay in the youth hostel of the city mission of Berlin. Upon our arrival we were very warmly welcomed and during the stay, accommodating, and friendly. Our family room was fine and it had everything needed for a short Trip. Also with the stroller, we ended up in the room. Only slightly softer mattresses would have been nice. ;-) Also with the night's rest, it's not all really serious, but we, people are different sooo. The Breakfast was awesome. From meat, cheese, various breads, various spreads, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, white Bohn in tomato sauce, tea, coffee, juice and water was all sought-after because of what the heart. The location was great. A short walk and the HB is reached. Price/performance is super, especially if you may used for what is a part of the revenue.

Nice room and not far from Hauptbahnhof, also quite.

The youth hostel is a modern, well-equipped accommodation with very good access. The room in which I slept were clean and complete. The service is friendly and very to coming out.

The JGH at first glance looks very promising and the Lobby and the dining room are very modern and new designed BUT The rooms are dirty The toilets are leaking The toilet has no deduction The house is very, very noisy The window on the first floor, not all open The sockets work sometimes not and didn't even have a fairing The pool table is tiny, broke and simply unusable, just like the Billardstab The staff is partly very unfriendly The toilet has no lock It is through doors in the room unnecessarily, to the already anyway too little space, wasted The mattress is so soft that one on the grid (Yes, grid, no grid) The cushion is so located that one directly on the mattress is The showers have only a storage space (a stool) for clothes with four showers each in separate cabins The doors fall only slowly, with the full force that the whole hallway wakes up. And the food is also not the True You can be glad that there is only a "1 star rating".

I stayed three nights with my wife, ten week old baby (baby bed was provided free of charge), and my parents in a four bed family room. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was also great. Next time we are in Berlin we will try to stay here again!

Nothing to complain about. The hostel is located close to Berlin's main train station. A few minutes walk and you are there. The Dorm was very clean and the staff was friendly. I can't complain and can recommend this hostel.

This place would have only gotten 2 stars if it hadn't of been at the Nurburgring. It says it is a hostel here although when I booked it I thought it was listed as a hotel. For a hostel, not bad.

As Jugendgaestehaus certainly ok. Since the offer, amenities, etc clearly on the "younger" society applies. Preismodel (Young-Old) is not transparent about ~27Jaehrige pay more. Measured by the a youth, and after further price-/ — Leistungvergleichen is the youth centre is much too expensive. Could a Hotel to find, which is 25% below the Jugendgaestehaus-price level, with higher Service and quality. Cleanliness: Bedroom = average / Bad = OK Staff: nice, friendly, accommodating Location: in walking distance to the main STATION.

Wonderful staff, always helped and knew to direct. But do not clean the rooms every day, and another towel costs money. Toilet and shower is not in the same room, but in two different rooms in the room. Wi-Fi only in the lobby. צוות עובדים נהדר, תמיד עזרו וידעו לכוון. אבל לא מנקים את החדרים כל יום, ומגבת נוספת עולה כסף. השרותים והמקלחת לא באותו חדר, אלא בשני חדרים שונים בחדר. Wi-Fi רק בלובי.

Very nice and clean place.

The context it is neat, clean, colorful and decorated in a modern style. The rooms are well lit and with a large window to change air, labiancheria of the bed is of good quality and the price very affordable, convenient proximity to the Central Station (5 m ' walk) the only drawback in hotel rooms are not great daily fare (beds, cleaning bathroom towel change: they can have clean to 1.50 cad but in any case are not withdrawn those dirty that must be kept in the room until the end of the stay. Wi-Fi is complimentary if you take breakfast in the hotel is given a password that lasts 24 hours and you can use in your room.

The rooms are neat and clean but simple, for this very central. Food should be improved. A large room as a conference room or Ballroom is also available.
But all work in development, as I perceive it.

My experiences with the youth hostel are turned out negative.
I had a family room for single use booked at a rate of 64, 00 EUR.
The room was on the 3rd floor. It was simply and practically furnished. Unfortunately the rooms smelled like strongly seasoned off air (an old perfume), that was no better by long airing. I found hair in the bed. There is no reading lamp by the bed.
Most of the noise has bothered me. As described on the Web page, midnight prevailed in my hallway doors banging and noise from the rooms below and next to me until well after. At 2.30 pm, I could sleep then after I had met a teacher down the Hall, who then took care of some extra rest.
This accommodation is not recommended for "older" individuals. I had booked there because I was registered to an event on the site and assumed that an extra area with rooms was intended for these participants.

I was very happy with my stay at the Jugendgästehaus Hauptbahnhof Berlin. Upon my arrival, I was greeted very kindly by the staff and other staff of the guesthouse were very friendly and helpful. My room was fine, it was clean and had everything you need for a short city trip.
The breakfast buffet was also very good. It was juice, milk, cocoa, etc. All available rolls over Müsli and fresh fruit, and scrambled eggs and coffee, tea, fresh Everything what your heart desires!
The location of the Guest House is very central what is also a great advantage. (From central station, you need only a few minutes walk to reach the accommodation).

Very good accommodation for young people and adults, in a quiet but Central area — from the train station, everything is very easy to reach. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend the accommodation to all, the not luxury accommodation but comfortable and clean accommodations appreciate.

In addition to the very convenient location close to hbf, we would recommend this place for families with small children. Reason being that there are good options to cook and kitchen is well equipped. Staff is quite helpful and understand english. Rooms are good for a decent rest.
