We made reservation in Hotel Excelsior in 2011 and got upgraded to this beautiful hotel. This awesome experience has been in my mind for 7 years and I can finally make it to write a review in 2018. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Wish we will stay in your hotels again!

Very good hotel Koenigshof : good location, wonderful and helpful staff, autumn delicious breakfast!

Just unbelievable the restaurant. Were now a total of 6 times there in the last 4 years. The food is always absolute top class anyway and becomes more than just for a star restaurant BUT what makes the restaurant really so: the "feeling" when you are allowed to dine there. After 3 hours you feel like after a 2-week holiday. They really can. The charm of the old days simply takes you with you. It is a pity that it is soon to be closed forever because of new construction. There will never be anything like this again.

Hotel was nice accommodations but wasn't there long enough to give it a true, thorough evaluation. Porter was very pleasant and helpful and they have an underground parking lot if you're driving your car. 4 star because it has an excellent location across from the Karlplatz and there is an escalator down to the U-Bahn and S-Bahn trains that is literally right out the front doors.

The lobby is so great — we sat there in the winter with friends and enjoyed the open fireplace and some drinks — that was sooo great! Thank you for the excellent service and the wonderful ambiance! 2002 I held a seminar on the first floor and was also impressed by the service at the time. One can only congratulate the owners — the building is beautiful and the staff excellently trained and very friendly!

Hotel of the upper class, with a quiet, unlimited service.
The hotel will soon be rebuilt, upgraded to the latest state of the art and service, and at least one floor elevated.
The kitchen of the hotel is well known anyway 1a.

Good internet, wide and large rooms, best place for travelers. Marine platz is in front of the hotel.

Beautiful and Noble hotel. The restaurant has a Michelin star, the rooms look very classy in the photos and the lobby looks wonderful.

Eat super good, but too little. The food doesn't get better qualitatively when there's little. The main problem was that the wardrobe wasn't guarded and I first had to find staff to get to my coat. Yet the best deer I've ever eaten.

Very rude… Competence is available in the Bavarian court. Not there. The very last.

Hardly beat for the price! The room was clean, service staff very accommodating and Verkehrsandbindung is excellent.

I wanted to see if I could get a table at the restaurant/bar for a quick bite after some shopping in Marienplatz around on September 29th at 8:30PM. But the door man was probably stereotyping and was being a racist. He wouldn't let me in because “restaurant/bar is for the guests of the hotel”. Are you kidding me? Wearing Ferragamos and Prada wasnt good enough :) The complete lack of respect for human beings regardless of their appearance is alarming. My fellow Americans go to the Bayerischer Hof (lovely place) or Kempinski for better service and lot nicer staff. P. S: I got a response from the hotel below but a justification to his actions or circumstances isn’t something I am interested in.

I have stayed here several times and have no complaints. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have beautiful furnishings and the location is close to everything. I would suggest this hotel to my family and friends.

Just went to the bar for the evening — drinks were pleasant with a range to select from. The bar staff spoke good English, showed interest in our wellbeing, and were overall friendly. The colour scheme was warm and, from what we saw, the hotel was very clean and comfortable too.

I honestly consider this hotel as my home in Munich. It appears to me that every member of the staff takes his part of responsibilty to make your stay so enjoyable. Location is unbeatable in Munich infront of Stachus. Food quality is very good. Rooms are very clean. Well done.

Kommen Sie am Besten mit U-bahn, S-Bahn oder so Gar zu fuß. Das ist kein scherz!
Der Herr Chauffeur Dort ist undercover richter! Chinese compatriots have cars, to pick up their relatives please note, do not drive past, if driving also must stop in the distance, this hotel driver will give your car photo, and then report you are black, Germans hate foreigners, especially the foreigners who drive a car.

I came here with my family, mom and sister. Staff was very nice. The front desk did not have the best English skills, but worlds better than my German. Our room was very spacious and beautiful. The outside of the hotel is deceiving. It is actually rather beautiful inside. On a Friday night, we sat in the bar and listened to the bassist and the pianist, both wonderful musicians playing classics. The hotel is located on a very busy street and doesn't have local charm, those are the main disadvantages of the hotel.

Prestigious, high class hotel in a prime but very busy location. Foreign drivers, traveling to the hotel might be challenged by the pace of the traffic and the variety of participants. The hotel will be renovated in the near future to bring parts of it up to modern standards, so better ask in advance whether all the services are available during your stay.

So much Simeon and white gloves for nothing!

I stayed here with my family for two nights while visiting Munich. The room was nicely appointed. I am basing my rating on my interactions with the staff and the overpriced restaurant on premise. When we checked in on a Friday we were told that breakfast was served later on weekends and would be open to 11am the following day. We showed up at 10:25 on Saturday and were chastised and told that the restaurant closed in 5 minutes. They seated us anyways but did not offer any service from the kitchen. We ended up having yogurt and fruit while each member of the staff told us that they were closing in 5 minutes which made us feel rushed. They should not have seated us if they did not want to serve us. The following morning we showed up with plenty of time and the service was extremely slow and the food was not great. When we checked out they informed us that having breakfast there for 2 mornings had cost us an additional 140 euros that had not been mentioned ahead of time. In every other accommodation during our stay in Europe breakfast had been included and we did not think to ask the price. Had we known, we would have eaten elsewhere for half the price and received better food and service. My advice to you is skip the restaurant if staying here.

A big compliment to the staff of this hotel, we were allowed to stay at this place and it was a dream. The rooms are perfectly clean, the furnishings very nice and well maintained. The food is extensive, fresh and delicious — something for every taste.
The courtesy and courteous behavior of the staff (from reception to room page via cook and waiter… etc. ) leaves nothing to be desired.
We will definitely come back soon:)
The hotel is worth its price in any case!

Great location in the central area of munich. Interesting service — — they kind of expect you to be dressed nicely. At first, they gave us word looks when dressed in a t-shirt and jeans. The people who clean the rooms show up often and replace the complimentary chocolate, bottled water, and fruit. They lock the front door late at night for safety, so you might have to show them your key to get in. Overall style of the hotel is older/classical. Bed is comfortable, but on the low side. Blankets and pillows are down. Couch is extremely comfy. There's an indoor jacuzzi and sauna but no swimming pool.

Great hotel! Located just in the centre. Good reception. Nice breakfast with a lot of dishes to choose from. Good Wi-Fi and free of charge, speed is about 3 Mbit/s.

Excellent hotel, right in the heart of Munich. Very friendly staff, even when arriving at in the middle of the night! Will stay again!

My favorite hotel in Germany, great location, great service and what else do you want if you are facing Karlzplats!

Super Restaurant and nice Hotel with rooms in different styles.

It's the best hotel in the world.

Arrival by Taxi from the airport shortly before midnight. Eat? None, Of The Order 21.30 PM, Restaurant closes for 24 hrs. Everywhere 17 degrees (fucking cold). The room does not get warm, Service none, on demand when you check out at 8 am the answer, toothbrushes, toothpaste and combs were (obviously) not in the room but at the reception. It was located in the room (what with 360 € without Breakfast) a sign with the note, if you smoke here, we will charge you € 200 cleaning fee. Outside of Germany (or even Munich) — is there one probably. One star for the Golden ashtray in the Elevator, at most, 2 for the perfect rip-off — but never in the life of the stated 5.

Everything was ok until I get my CAR back I. He was at the Parking by the Hotel is damaged, then it said I should Rep. And now it says: SORRY — WE do not PAY ANYTHING! TOP Service.

I think the Royal family is simply the best of what Munich has to offer at hotel. This is simply perfect Service and everything could not be better.

This house has the best times behind itself. The rooms are much too small. The staff were all trouble and was very friendly. The location at the Stachus is perfect.

To a wedding I have invited Royal Court us in the wonderful restaurant in the hotel. The food was excellent. It was served at a reasonable pace, and the service was also very friendly. We had children and the spontaneous still got what they wanted. Super atmosphere. Even if the building from the outside is so unimpressive, all to himself speaks from the inside.
