Nice hotel great location close to Marienplatz friendly staff large room. Fit out is certainly not 5 star but still very comfortable and would be happy to stay here again.

Highly recommend! This is an oasis in the city. There is a lovely and relaxing garden in the middle of the complex. You can eat breakfast and other meals in the glass walled garden room. The apartment was much more spacious than a standard hotel room and had every amenity we needed. Service was friendly and helpful.

We recently stayed a few nights at the Maximilian Munich Apartments & Hotel during a visit to Munich. This is a place that seems to do well for many TA reviewers. Unfortunately, we didn't have as much luck with this property and found them to be too expensive for the quality of their studio rooms and level of service delivered. What we liked Reservation for our Garden Studio with view of the garden was made on the Maximilian website 5 months prior to our stay. Email confirmation for reservation was sent immediately. We were expected and well received by front desk staff upon arrival and provided expected luggage storage until our room was studio was ready later in the day. There were internet connection problems during our stay. One particular front desk staff was very responsive to us and other guests who were having problems. That was appreciated. The location of this property is quite good. The neighbourhood is quiet and you are a 5 minute walk to the main sightseeing areas of the Old Town. The Isartor Station is a similar distance which is nice if you want to use public transportation to/from the airport or other areas of the city during your stay. Our studio was 33 square metres, providing plenty of size and space for luggage and moving around in our room. Room decor was rather bright and furniture decent. Sofa was of decent comfort, sitting chairs and table just fine. Bed was comfortable, providing good sleep during our stay.

Great location! Nice and clean apartment with awesome view! Good restaurants and cafes just a minute away. Close to BMW Welt, Olympic Park, garden, open swimming pool.

A cozy little hotel that is worth its stars. Very convenient location for those who like to walk. It is fashionable to walk to the center and Hofbräuhaus very close by. The restaurant is delicious.

The staff were mostly very friendly. The hotel has an excellent location. Most of the sights are within walking distance. The décor of the hotel and the courtyard are beautiful. Unfortunately, we were rather dissatisfied with the room. It was way too warm, the air conditioning was continuously at 24-25 °c and could not be put colder. At outside temperatures of over 20 °c this was very uncomfortable. The phone didn't work either. Breakfast was way too expensive for the small selection. The buns were tiny, the coffee tasted bitter. The service at breakfast could have been better. Plates were not cleared and the staff seemed to have had a bad mood on both days, which, unfortunately, was clearly noted as a guest. A smile should not be too much to ask for paying guests.

Relaxing space for our family to unwind in at the end of our holiday. Perfect walking distance to the local sights and restaurants.

Lovely boutique hotel close to the heart of Munich. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Staff speaks English as well as German.

Last year Tue Black terror attack When everyone from HB ran out, courtesy of this hotel security and waiter care, although the recent no way back to Germany to thank them for consumption, but today in writing travels still want to come up to thank the hotel and its excellent and gentleman service staff!

Stayed there for one night, super friendly staff. I loved the garden area. It's very laid back, nothing fancy but very clean.

My wife and I have been regular costumers of the Maximilian every December for the past 4 years. During these cold days in Munich, the Maximilian is like being at home away from home. It is quiet, confortable, clean and conviniently located. The wonderful staff is always available and helpful. We never had to worry about anything. The kitchenette in the room is a wonderful plus that gives you flexibility if you are staying for a week or more like us and you don't want to go out for dinner everyday. Supermarket is 3 mins away and the Viktualienmarkt is 5 mins away to get some groceries. The Maximilian is the perfect spot to explore the city and all it has to offer just by walking or by using public transportation. True that the rates are on the high side, but you really get value for your money. We will be back next December, as usual.
